I have just recently started interning for Kids for Peace and it has really added a light to my life. Whether it be making signs to spread kindness for local news stations, or putting smiles on people’s faces—the impact of brightening someone’s day is worth more than money can buy. Thank you for giving me this opportunity Kids for Peace!
I have been volunteering at Kids For Peace for a long time and it has been life changing for me! Through this amazing organization I have had so many opportunities. I was able to go to Kenya twice and Peru and get to experience the culture there and help give kids access to better facilities. I truly love being a part of Kids For Peace!
I was greeted with open arms and was helped and treated very positively. I would 110% recommend Kids For Peace, they are striving for a postitive change and have done so in many areas.
Kids for peace is such an incredible non profit, they have truly taught me the meaning of kindness and why it matters to make a difference in our beautiful world!
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Kids for Peace. I enjoy working with all those involved with the Board and the events especially where the Kids are involved. The message is sound - Our World needs more Kindness and Peace. I find that my involvement (time, energy & money) is what I was looking for to help with the message. I look forward to even greater things for us going forward.
Kids for Peace has been an amazing community partner! They support every aspect of their communities and provide kids with an outlet to volunteer and experience a multitude of different industries. Every time I have worked with a student that is a part of Kids for Peace they are the most kind, impressive, committed, and respectful young person I have ever met!
Kids for Peace is absolutely making a huge difference in the lives of kids everywhere... As an active board member, I cherish what Kids for Peace stands for, what it represents and the message it delivers to the children all across the world
As a high schooler, I absolutely love Kids for Peace because it’s a wonderful feeling to know you get the privilege to make a positive impact on this world. We need so many more organizations like this to make more of these positive impacts. Not only do you get to help the world be a better place but you also get community service hours! Truly a lovely organization.
This non-profit offers so many opportunities and is great if you want to help the community and for good cause! I just joined Kids For Peace and I already volunteered by helping out pick up trash at the park concerts!
During my time with Kids for Peace so far, I have appreciated every second of my time helping with tasks like rock and bag decorating to administrative tasks. I also really resonate with Kid for Peaces mission and message!
My son loved Kids for Peace! He met friends there as well as learned how to spread more peace by volunteering in the community. Kids for Peace is an amazing organization that will hopefully help schools with bullying. The staff at Kids for Peace are also so kind and hardworking!
I started in Kids for Peace when I was 6 years old and I’m happy to say that I’m now in college. The lessons I learned and the programs I participated in have made me look at life with more compassion, empathy and kindness towards all. Kids for Peace is a great organization and with all that’s going on in the world, we definitely need more peace.
Kids for Peace has been an exceptional partner during our time together working on The Great Kindness Challenge 2024. Their dedication to fostering kindness and compassion is inspiring and we are thrilled to be partnering with them.
Kids For Peace plays an important role in our school district, empowering children to be ambassadors of kindness for our communities. It has directly impacted our children in a positive way to be leaders driving kind initiatives throughout the school year.
My experience with this profit was phenomenal!! A volunteer named Megan nelson came to our school multiple years in a row to teach the students at Mission Estancia Elementary school to be kind, brave, and much more
We need more organizations like Kids for Peace! It is so important that our children - the next generation - learn that caring and respecting others is a key ingredient for a safe and peaceful world where everyone can live, grow, and succeed. The programs that Kids for Peace organizes have such a great impact on the community. Kids for Peace empowers young hearts and minds to become leaders of positive change in their communities and beyond. This approach doesn't just build good citizens; it molds compassionate, empathetic, and responsible global citizens.
As a former educator, I have seen with my own eyes the positive impact on our students when they were treated with compassion and respect by the staff. Students seeing this modeled by their teachers would then do the same for each other. I am honored to be a new member of the Board and have been impressed with the dedicated staff and supporters who work tirelessly on its behalf.
Kids for Peace is not just a nonprofit; it's a movement. It's a testament to the potential for goodness and kindness that is in each and every child. It's a source of hope in a world that often feels divided.
My involvement with Kids For Peace has been nothing short of life-changing. This remarkable organization and its incredible community have had a profound impact on me. As a new member of the board, I have been welcomed with open arms.
Kids For Peace embodies the values of empathy, unity, and compassion, and being part of this movement has awakened a renewed sense of purpose within me. Through our collective efforts, we are not only fostering peace in the world but also nurturing it within ourselves.
The support and camaraderie within the Kids For Peace community have been unwavering. It's a place where like-minded individuals come together to create a better world for our children. The bonds forged here are strong and enduring, reminding me that positive change is possible when we stand together.
This organization has taught me that, regardless of age, we all have the power to make a difference. Kids For Peace has not only touched my heart but also inspired me to be a better, more compassionate human being.
I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to be part of Kids For Peace, and I look forward to continuing this incredible journey towards a more peaceful and harmonious world.
Kids for Peace is one of those organizations that is true to their mission of helping create a kind and caring world, through and through. My daughter's involvement in the various hands-on service projects, from elementary school through high school, was truly life-changing. Love this organization because it reminds up to be happy, caring, kind, and upstanding individuals in our everyday actions!!!
Kids for Peace is a highly trusted organization with great leadership. They promote positive messages that is grade level appropriate that centers on maintaining peace. Their leadership kit makes it very easy to get a Kids for Peace club up and running at a school. The events they plan to encourage others in a mission for peace are fun!
I've been with this nonprofit organization since 3rd grade, and I am now a freshman in high school. My experience with Kids for Peace has been amazing, because there are so many opportunities to make a difference and so many good people you will meet. Not only do Kids for Peace chapters do good deeds for their own schools and communities, but also for the whole world. We've built schools in Kenya and Pakistan. We've honored peace heroes like Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and Stedman Graham. We've helped schools in Paradise, California after the fires. There are so many other meaningful efforts that we have made to promote kindness and there are many more we plan to do, so I highly recommend supporting this wonderful organisation.
Kids for Peace is such an amazing organization that I had the wonderful opportunity of interning for! The organization’s main goal is connecting kids all over the world in order to make them happy and expand the number of friendships of as many kids as possible! It’s truly so heartwarming, and they really do prioritize making sure that those who sign up are satisfied and supported!
I am proud to be an intern at Kids for Peace. The positive impact that this organization has on children is tremendous. By participating in Kid's for Peace programs, children are able to build invaluable connections and learn how to make the world a safer, kinder place. I love that I am able to see the enthusiasm of board members who are truly devoted to the meaning behind their work.
Kids For Peace is an amazing nonprofit organization!
I had an internship with them and it was very eye-opening to see the connections start to happen with kids all around the world. The staff I had contact with were very kind and you can see that they all care and support the message of peace and connectivity that Kids For Peace is about.
This organization somewhat fell into my lap. I was searching for somewhere meaningful to volunteer and was lucky enough to find this gem. I began as a volunteer during the heart of COVID. I was able to witness first hand how this group uplifted so many children through their various programs. It promotes what we want to see in our children: kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness. Kids for Peace offers many different ways to get involved for adults and children of all ages.
Great organization that I had chance to intern for during my undergrad. I was working on the Pen Pal Project and it felt great to connect kids all around the world during Covid. Thank you Kids for Peace for giving me the opportunity to intern, much appreciated. :)
-Leila
I joined Kids for Peace Organization during my bachelor's degree for an Internship opportunity. I was helping the organization with their Pen Pal project, which I was not familiar with and it was an absolutely interesting project. I felt great connecting kids to a different part of the world. The most touching moment for me was the connection between other parts of the world with Ukraine during the war, which touched my heart. I do proud of this organization for trying to make the world a better place by investing in kids who are our future.
Thank you kids for peace for allowing me to be one of your team.
Mahsa :)
Kids for Peace has had such an impact on my life. As a parent and volunteer, my family and I have had opportunities to give back to our community, and the world, in ways that I could never have created on my own. From little things like teaching our children to send positive thoughts to those in need...to big things like building schools and playgrounds in other countries - these social awarenesses are life changing to all involved. My family and I consider ourselves lifelong volunteers for Kids for Peace!
Kids for Peace has given my kids and family more opportunities to experience the power in kindness than I could have ever imagined when I joined as a volunteer 14 years ago. The reach of Kids for Peace worldwide is hard to fathom as well - 15 million kids experience the power of kindness every year. The ability of Kids for Peace to create lasting change in children through personal experiences with kindness and international projects will continue to amaze me. Thank you, Kids for Peace!
I am so impressed with everything that Kids for Peace is doing all over the world. Their programs are so impactful for all ages but it is especially wonderful to see children promoting kindness and encouraging peace everywhere through their thoughtful actions. I love the Kids for Peace mission and what it stands for: "Building a worldwide community of kind, compassionate and empowered young people."
Kids for Peace is such a wonderful organization. I've been working with them on their Kindness Unites Paperchain project and am so impressed by their dedication, thoughtfulness, and optimism. As a former child advocate, I know how important it is to model positive behavior. Kids for Peace is empowering and uniting kids (and adults) everywhere, and in the process, reminding us that we are all connected in love. Thank you Kids for Peace!
KFP rocks! What an incredible, selfless organization who’s main mission is to spread goodwill, peace and hope throughout the world. Love seeing how transformative change can occur in communities when kids are leading the way! Keep up the great work KFP!
I am a 5th grade teacher in Oceanside and have implemented The Great Kindness Challenge through Kids for Peace for the last 3 years at Reynolds Elementary Schoo! Traveling to Migori, Kenya to volunteer at the Kids for Peace School they built with the funds raised was a transformational experience! This nonprofit empowers children to help other children around the world, inspiring them to use their gifts to make the world a better place. This organization has extreme integrity. I know it from the inside out, having served as a Board Member for the last 3 years!!!!
One thing that I value about Kids For Peace Global is that their work is not performative. They impart valuable skills, language, and tools for children to help build the world they wish to live in. Neither does KFP traffick in poverty-pitty for the global communities they serve but rather centers the work in lifting up and empowering.
I’m an intern for Kids for Peace and the experience I’ve gained here is absolutely amazing because I know I’m doing something to help out my community in one of the most beautiful ways possible.
I'm an intern at Kids for Peace, and let me tell you, they have the nicest people on the planet. Everyone is extremely kind and uplifting. Working at Kids for Peace has definitely had a meaningful impact on my life.

Amazing and fun camp. It teaches you to be peaceful and be fun at the same time. I will definitely come back to kfp again.
My two sons have been part of this incredible organization for the past 5 years. They have participated in so many KfP-organized projects and activities that have truly opened their hearts and their minds. This summer they each participated in separate sessions of the first ever Kids for Peace virtual summer camp and they loved it! It was 10 days of activities that were not only fun, but meaningful, too. They met new friends from all over the world, learned about different cultures, and participated in a group service project. It was a camp like no other that was absolutely perfect for a time that has certainly been like no other.

Kids for Peace! What better cause is there than peace? And what better way to get there than empowering our children to promote kindness in their daily lives and set the example for others.
Kids for Peace is a beautiful and impactful organization!! My children and I have had the pleasure to participate in several Kids for Peace events and also attended a school chapter where they created beautiful Peace Packs for children in Haiti and organized The Great Kindness Challenge, a free and powerful program for schools to create kindness on their campus. I have been a donor to Kids for Peace for over 10 years. I have watched the organization grow from a local "club" to a global nonprofit with programs in 121 countries and over 10 million children served. I personally know many children who are part of Kids for Peace and I am so impressed by their compassion and leadership skills. Guided by the Peace Pledge, these children are changing the world. No doubt, if everyone followed the Peace Pledge, we really would have a world of peace!
The Peace Pledge
(written by Kids for Peace)
I pledge to use my words to speak in a kind way.
I pledge to help others as I go throughout my day.
I pledge to care for our earth with my healing heart and hands.
I pledge to respect people in each and every land.
I pledge to join together to unite the big and small.
I pledge to do my part to create peace for one and all.
So many positive experiences with Kids for Peace! I have participated in training youth leaders, building a school in Kenya, speaking to school children and their teachers about anti-bullying, ways to be kind, and ways to create peace. I have volunteered at conferences to encourage school personnel to participate in the Great Kindness Challenge, and in 2017, there were more than 10 million children worldwide who participated, each child doing 50 acts of kindness in one week! Good Morning America showcased this Kids for Peace initiative for a whole week in January 2017! I have headed up book drives and collected more than 5000 children's books for distribution to needy children, and helped to build a playground and a school infirmary in a third world country. Kids for Peace is extraordinary!!
Could have more substance. It has potential but no where near the top. My kids learned nothing other than smiling for picture shoots as token unWASPS,Not a safe environment for any kids other than blond, They feel left out .

Kids for Peace is a wonderful organization that encourages kids and teens from all over the world to get up and go outside and actually make a change, as opposed to simply sending money anonymously. there is a certain value in letting young people see how the other half of the world lives, and it makes for a truly life-changing experience. Kids For Peace is one of the most authentic non profits out there. They are committed to fostering kindness in literally all around world and nowadays, it's so needed.
I have been a proud Kids for Peace volunteer for two years, and am now a Board Member. As a retired educator, I have found this incredible non-profit fills my heart and soul with its mission of generosity and global peace. Two weeks ago we went to Kenya to open our first Kids for Peace School, serving more than 160 three-to-eight-year-olds in the small village of Mikei. The school and it's playground was 100% funded by the children of the United States and we brought more than 3500 books, art supplies, and classroom supplies to the children and their dedicated teachers! What a fulfilling adventure. I love Kids for Peace!
Just 10 years ago Kids for Peace started as a small grassroots nonprofit that has now become a BIG international movement by encouraging kids to take the lead in creating a peaceful world.

Great opportunities for children to become aware of the needs of others in their local community as well as in communities a world away, and to be empowered to make a difference.
I have been a Kids for Peace chapter leader for approximately seven years and it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I wanted to find a way to be active with my three children by promoting peace and social justice and helping them to understand that they CAN make a difference in the world. I am a high school intern here and it is so much fun! Everyone is so friendly and caring! Kids for Peace is a great organization
Some people talk about creating a world of peace, others believe it is an unobtainable dream, but the founders of Kids for Peace know that peace is possible! Kids for Peace was founded by a concerned mom and a high school honors student in 2006. What started as a backyard “club” of caring kids in Carlsbad, has over 2 million youthactively engaged in creating a world of kindness, understanding, unity and respect. With children taking the lead, peace is possible!
I enjoy volunteering and giving back to the community. After looking for a group to volunteer with I found Kids for Peace. Kids for Peace is a non-profit that focuses on how kids can contribute to making this world one filled with peace and kindness. The organization focuses on what can be done in a proactive way to eliminate the need to be reactive to negative experiences such as bullying.
Kids for Peace truly appreciates all that it's volunteers and members do to help promote the values and mission of the non-profit. No matter how big or small the contribution is.
When I first encountered Kids For Peace, I was blown away by how mindful the kids in the organization were. As a New parent, it made me want to get involved and that was almost 3 years ago! I have supported this wonderful organization because of their organic and true kindness in the world, plus their mission and cause is elevating and exactly what we need right now!
When I learned of the Kids for Peace movement at our school Bella Mente Montessori Academy, I was truly moved by the love and empowerment that our children are being infused with. We all need a little extra dose of kindness in our lives. I am excited to be involved this year and will continue to do my part in helping propel KfP.
We are thrilled to be involved with Kids for Peace. My daughter is part of our local chapter and we have experienced a range of wonderful, conscious, peace-loving, service-giving activities with this group from visiting local senior centers and making Peace Packs for children in Pakistan, to visiting a local homeless shelter for children and participating in beach clean-ups. My daughter also attended the Peace Ambassador training and at only 6 yrs old is so motivated and excited by the KfP mission and activities that she's working to start a chapter at her new school. The leaders and other members we've met are a joyful, caring group.
Kids for Peace is an absolutely amazing nonprofit. The loving and joyful attitudes of everyone involved is tremendously inspiring. The "take-action"mindset of all of the volunteers is what makes this organization truly stand out.
This summer I have had the privilege to work with Kids for Peace as a college intern. It has been a great learning experience and a great place to intern. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with Jill and Asia on all the fun kindness activities. They are wonderful, kind, energetic people who love life and love spreading love.
It's so great to be a part of this organization. Jill and her team care so much about spreading peace and what a great place to start with kids, our future! Kids for Peace is doing great things and spreading peace throughout the world!
Kids For Peace is such a rare, but desperately needed approach to healing the world -- simply empowering kids to be peacemakers. As global populations continue to explode and resources decline, modalities of peace are going to keep escalating in demand. Our survival as a species depends on our ability to co-exist peacefully. What better place to make this happen than in our children, so they carry this into the next generation? The approach that the Kids For Peace team takes to this noble mission is just as inspiring as the mission itself. They don't just promote peace, they ARE peace. They live it and breathe it. Time after time I have seen their sincerity for this work and their deep love for all other creatures in whatever they do.
What an amazing organization! I've been fortunate to witness the inspiring efforts of this one of a kind organization.

Kids for Peace is an active organization that facilitates kids' involvement in creating peace. One of the remarkable things about the organization is the ages of the children-they aren't doing this for school credit or to put on their resume! These are kids reaching out to other kids through Kids for Peace-great concept-great implementation!
I am so thrilled, blessed and honored to have recently found Kids For Peace. This non-profit empowers children from so many countries, of all different backgrounds, nationalities and ages, to carry out acts of kindness and bring peace to the world. Children are the voice and mission of Kids For Peace, this is one amazing organization!
"We are Kids for Peace kids so we should play the video game in non violent mode." I overheard my grandson say this to a friend and had tears of joy!! My 3 grandchildren, including two high energy 10 yo boys and a 13 yo girl have been members of Kids For Peace for 7 years. Through their activities with this tremendous nonprofit, they have developed compassion, tolerance, environmental and cultural awareness and the desire to serve. They always seem to enjoy the activities, whether public speaking, community service or creating art. Though they have their naughty moments, they frequently remember the lines of the Peace Pledge and gracefully shift gears to peaceful mode. Kids For Peace has been an answer to prayer when it comes to growth and character development for my grandchildren. I feel so very blessed that they are involved.
My children have participated in the organization for approximately two years. My children range in age from 9 to 13 years. They are each eager to participate in the organizations activities because children are given a major role in the planning and execution of projects. I believe that the program gives participants a global awareness while positively impacting the community.
It is very important to find a non-profit that really benefits your community and has a cause that you truly can believe in. As I scoured the internet for non-profits in my area I found many that did great things, but I was looking for something that would allow me to really get involved and would allow me to directly see the progress and impact of my work. When I found Kids for Peace it seemed like I finally found what I was looking for. I called Jill who is the Executive Director and was immediately accepted into a wonderful group of volunteers. Throughout the next couple of months I gradually became more involved in the organization and aided in planning events and working with the children. The idea that I can impact the development of a child in a positive way and improve their interaction with the world through my volunteer work is very rewarding. I will and continue to stand behind Kids for Peace and am a firm believer that their message kindness, peace, and tolerance are essential in improving our youth!
The other day I picked up my 5 year old twins from school and on the way home they asked "Is there a weapon that could cut the world in two?". After pausing for a few seconds, I answered "Yes, there are weapons that if countries use enough of them, they could literally cut the world in two. That's why we are called to love others, because when we love each other and live in peace, then something like that would NEVER happen." This brief dialog illustrates why I support Kids For Peace, an organization which allows children a voice to love others and our world with their special hearts and hands.
I have volunteered with Kids for Peace since January 2013 and it has been a wonderful experience having the chance to work with so many great people and all the kids. Kids for peace works really hard to bring peace, awareness, fun and lots of smiles to so many kids, schools, and all their families. When I first started with them I was surprised to hear that they have chapters all over the country and even in multiple countries. It is truly a wonderful company and I am proud to be volunteering for a company that brings so many smiles, laughter and joy to kids around the world.
This year my high school participated in The Great Kindness Challenge, one of Kids for Peace's events. The challenge promoted respect, kindness, and peace in my school and overall made many people much happier to go to school. I am very greatful I was able to participate in The Great Kindness Challenge. I plan to spend much more time working with Kids for Peace.
I am 10 years old and have been a part of kids for peace for 2 years. I love learning about different places and making friends from all around the world. At kids for peace meetings we learn about different places and make peace packs. Then we send the peace packs to kids in other places in the world. I have a lot of fun with kids for peace.
I am a 14-year-old girl who has been working with Kids for Peace since I was 7. In the past 7 years I have had the privelegde to volunteer with this wonderful group. With this group, I know I am changing the world for the better. I thank Kids for Peace for allowing me to go to Africa, Mexico, and across the United States meeting children and creating peace. I would encourage all children and adults to become a part of Kids for Peace. You won't regret it!
I am a 5th grade elementary school teacher and every student in my class is a Kids for Peace student. I am convinced that this program transforms students from rebellious and non compliant students to kind and gentle citizens. I have seen it work!!
I have volunteered with Kids for Peace for over 5 years and have absolutely loved every minute of my experience.
I have been an after school KfP chapter leader at an elementary for the past 2 years. One of the many wonderful aspects of Kids for Peace is that the focus of each meeting is child led. At our chapter we spend our first meeting together discussing the children's "peace wishes" for their school as well as for the world. Those wishes are what we focus on making come true through action. For example they wished that every child had shoes. We received a donation of brand new shoes, wrote kind friendship notes to go along with them and sent them to children in need. The children get to take action where they see there is a need. They are rewarded in taking that action by the good feeling they get knowing they have done something and they have done it kindly and with peace in mind and heart.
Every moment I spend with these young peacemakers I am assured that they will lead the way in creating a more positive and peaceful world. The KfP members have compassion, enthusiasm and drive for creating peace, add that with Kids for Peace programs and resources and together we uplift our world with love and action!
Chapters are organized by neighborhood and school. Chapters are NOT age or gender specific. Children in Kids for Peace work together on arts, environmental, community, and global service projects, learning tolerance and cooperation along the way. As a former girl-scout, I celebrate the forward-thinking nature of this extracurricular group, and I believe it is an excellent classroom tool to help curb bullying.
Volunteering for Kids for Peace has been an amazing and empowering experience. Personally, it gave me an opportunity to connect with many exceptional individuals, who believe in the power of kids and their ability to foster peace. I see our motto 'Kindness Matters' really having a powerful impact in our day to day lives, and I am very grateful to Kids for Peace for that reminder! There is so much passion and enthusiasm for what we do in Kids for Peace, and it is truly contagious :) Once you join the Kids for Peace family, you are in it for life!
I have volunteered with Kids for Peace kids all over the world and have seen how the curriculum, programs and activities can give hope to children in conflict settings and empower them to make positive changes in their communities. It is with great joy that I volunteer as a Kids for Peace leader and adviser to the organization, adapting curricula for kids who most desperately want peace. Children everywhere love being a part of Kids for Peace!
Positive, powerful, liberating and strong! Kids for Peace offers children and teens the opportunity to put thoughts and ideas into action. Chapters all over the world work collectively and courageously on some of our society's greatest challenges and our members actively problem SOLVE together. The members of this amazing group do not shy away from BIG issues like war, bullying, inequality...instead they face these issues head on and joyfully work towards solutions. Each and every meeting is filled with acts of kindness! The kids openly discuss current events, participate in community service (here, there and everywhere!) and even have opportunities to travel together on Peace Pledge Tours! Kids for Peace is the light that brightens the darkness and is the change we wish to see! We truly and genuinely LOVE Kids for Peace:)
Every time we have a Kids for Peace meeting, I know I am making a difference in the world. Best of all, so do the kids in our group. Plus, we have so much fun, the kids ask to meet every week!
Volunteering as a Kids for Peace chapter leader has been one of the best experiences of my life. My 10 year old daughter begged 'us' to start a chapter in our neighborhood, and I listened. The organization provided me with excellent materials making it easy to start and run our chapter meetings. Their annual Leaders Training was very well organized and so much fun! It not only gave me great ideas, but also led me to new friendships with other like-minded folks around the country. As a leader, at the end of each meeting my heart is so full of love witnessing the joy our children have giving to others in all variety of ways. Promoting peace and kindness comes natural to them, as leaders we provide the setting to let their lights shine bright, and they do with amazing brilliance!
My kids have been lucky enough to be a part of Kids for Peace through our Elementary School. They love it and I love the great things they are learning and being exposed to. We could all use a little more peace!
Over the past year, i have served as a working board member, as well as a chapter leader. In my time with this organization, I have witnessed firsthand adults and children be more kind, helpful & loving with each other because of the work of Kids for Peace. Now more than ever, our world needs to fully embrace KfP's motto ~ "Kindness Matters!" It's true, our future is in the hands of our children ... and KIds for Peace is doing the work to ensure that we to have peace in the years to come. Please consider joining us by donating, volunteering, starting your own chapter or rooting on the kids! Thank you ~ namaste.
I am a Kids for Peace leader and on the Programs committee. I love Kids for Peace on so many levels. Each experience our children have shapes who they are and who they become. Not only are the children helping others through their acts of kindness and volunteerism, but they are building their character, self esteem and understanding at an early age that their voice matters and just one person can make a difference.
By getting involved with Kids for Peace, you are not only impacting the child, but the ripple effect of how many people that child can touch in their lifetime. My mind truly explodes whenever I think about what can truly happen to our world the more people that get involved with this amazing organization. Together lets end bullying and war, and bring out the kindness and peace.
Kids for Peace gives children the opportunity to reach out to others in need. It is humbling to see young people coming together to make a difference, not only in our community, but in our world. These children are dedicated to proclaiming the importance of kindness. The Great Kindness Challenge is an event I took part in this summer. Several kids from the community gathered in Encinitas, California, to take on 50 kindness tasks. Some of the tasks included, taking cookies to firemen/life guards/police officers, saying hello to homeless people, picking up trash at a park, reading to young children, etc. Not only was I able to interact with people of the community, but also a member of Kids for Peace who was visiting from Kenya, Africa. It was inspiring to see how just a simple smile could make someone's day brighter. This organization has exemplified leadership skills through their incredible commitment to making a difference!
Kids for Peace is influencing the community in great ways by helping children gain an understanding of how they can grow up and be kind in our world. I'm a high school student who interns with the organization. I am very happy with the results and impact of Kids for Peace. Everything we do today helps out others tomorrow.
Kids For Peace is changing our lives in very positive and constructive ways! Through this wonderful organization, our three children learn valuable lessons: to respect other cultures; to embrace differences; to care for the environment ; to communicate kindly; and to volunteer locally and globally. They meet and work with role models who are sincere and passionate about peace. Their endless "kid energy and creativity" is channeled into meaningful projects. Such powerful education for kids and also for adults who may be distracted by other life experiences!!! Our family is very, very happy to support Kids For Peace and to encourage others to get involved globally!
I've been part of Kids for Peace for 6 years. I have done so many cool things like going to an orphanage in Mexico, cleaning beaches, singing with seniors during the holidays, visiting veterans in hospitals and making Peace Packs for Uganda, India, Nepal, Tanzania, and Haiti. I even got to go to Africa to make friends and help out. I really like following the Peace Pledge. Even though I am only 11 years old, I know that I make a big difference!
KIds for Peace is doing the most important work on the planet: working with kids to promote peace by helping them develop real-world peacemaking skills. I've watched this organization spread and grow over the past six years. They are now in 30 countries serving more that 32,000 children, each a new peace ambassador.
I have been involved with Kids for Peace for 4 years as a mom, a chapter leader and now as a board member. I am amazed by the wonderful things that this group does. It has been such a great way for my children to learn about and reach out to other children around the globe, and to participate in issues and events in our local community.
I love kids for peace. It's the best!!!! The work that this organization does changes lives around the world. I am honored to be on the board.
Kids for Peace is a unique organization that teaches children about peace and how to create it. I serve as a Board Member of Kids for Peace because we need peace in this world. I see that the next generation is strong, intelligent, and creative. They can make it happen. Working toward this goal is constant and ever-evolving. There are so many things that we can do as individuals, yet as a group peace spreads exponentially. "Let there be peace... YEAH!"
Kids for Peace is simple yet pure and powerful. Now that over 145 Kids for Peace chapters have been launched worldwide, the impact is undeniable.
