Mission: Kids Cancer Crusade was created in April 2006 in honor of Christi Thomas, a young girl that was battling Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer. Christi passed away on September 19, 2006 but her legacy lives strong. She had a pure love of life and delighted in bringing smiles to the faces of other children with cancer.
Inspired by Christi, we believe no family should go through a child’s cancer diagnosis alone. We strive to live like Christi did, by spreading awareness of pediatric cancers in hopes of one day finding a cure and by offering support to the families affected by it.
Target demographics: Families of children that have or have had cancer until the age of 21 - in any phase of treatment. We welcome families of children that have passed away as well.
Geographic areas served: Nationwide, including families from outside of the USA but treating in a US facility.
Kids Cancer Crusade has been sending gift packages to my children since shortly after my son's diagnosis of ALL. They go above and beyond to help out these children and I support them 110% To see the smiles they bring to my kids faces when they receive their gifts is such a blessing because as KCC says "Every child's smile is beautiful, but he smile of a child w/ cancer is inspirational!" We have organized a toy drive to help KCC and plan on doing another one very soon. I urge others to show their support for KCC and to help them in any way they can because they are doing wonderful things for these children and are always trying to find other ways to help as well as to spread awareness!!!
