Mission: The Keystone Blind Association (KBA) has been serving the Mercer County community in western Pennsylvania since 1947 and the Crawford County community since 1990. It operates under a 24 member volunteer Board of Directors who represent a diverse segment of the community.
The Keystone Blind Association provides human services to over 600 blind and visually impaired individuals annually including transportation with sighted escort and rehabilitation teaching programs. KBA provides prevention of blindness programs in the form of educational programs and eye screenings to children and adults. The agency also provides employment opportunities and advocacy for persons who are disabled.

Keystone Blind Association has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Council for Blind and Low Vision Services (NAC). NAC is the only accrediting body that solely focuses on standards and best practices for blind and low vision services with the consumer in mind. Keystone Blind Association has demonstrated that it meets or exceeds the standards set by NAC for delivery of blind and low vision services. The determination for accreditation is a rigorous process that involves self-examination by the organization, an on-site peer review to verify processes and procedures by a team of professionals serving in the field and a review of the findings by the NAC Accreditation Committee. NAC congratulates Keystone Blind Association on its accredited status.
