Mission: The mission of the Kerosene Lamp Foundation (KLF) is to empower youth to grow into healthy and well-educated adults.
KLF was founded in 2005 by Adonal Foyle, a native of St. Vincent & the Grenadines and professional basketball player. KLF uses basketball as a bridge to the next generation, promoting education and health awareness, providing free basketball clinics and building/refurbishing basketball courts.
The name “Kerosene Lamp” refers to the lighting used by Adonal to study on an island without electricity, and symbolizes his mission to brighten the futures of today’s youth.

My husband and I have been active with the KLF for over two years and cannot find a more worthy organization. Helping kids to achieve the combination of academic and athletic success produces young adults with self-confidence who will go far! We look forward to what the future holds for each of these wonderful kids!
I worked as a camp counselor and hands down, the KLF SVG camp was the best experience I've ever had an opportunity to be a part of. We reached over 1,500 children and the one-on-one interaction with them is irreplaceable. I will always support anything KLF does because it's well-organized and the impact on the children of SVG is huge! I hope the KLF summer camp is able to expand and continue for years to come.
