Causes: Environment, Environmental Beautification
Mission: Engage, inspire and educate the midlands to invest in our community through litter prevention, recycling and beautification.
Programs: Keep th midlands beautiful kmb coordinated over 5,434 volunteers to remove an estimated 218,000 pounds of trash from midlands roads and waterways. These volunteers contributed 30,369 hours of service in lexington and richland counties and participated in adopt-a-highway, adopt-a-waterway, great american clean-ups, goodcleanfun, saturday cleanups and beach/riversweep programs. Kmb also used grant funds to provide funding for park refurbishment in west columbia and with volunteers to plant 75 trees in columbias river front park. Kmb also participated in the graffitti abatement program.
