Mahalo Keaukaha School Foundation! The 2020-2021 SY was my first at Keaukaha Elementary and I am so happy to have joined this community full of ALOHA! This year with my second graders was so exciting and memorable and I wanted to end with some fun celebrations! My students have worked so hard all year and I wanted to reward them with an ice cream party and some prizes to have fun with over summer. We also did some end of year crafts. The Keaukaha School Foundation helped provide these materials, supplies and groceries for my kids to have an enjoyable last few weeks of school. I am so grateful for the monetary gift to support my students!

This was a challenging 2020-2021 year that we teachers will never forget. During this covid pandemic, learning took place in such an unconventional way. Kindergarteners, who have never been to public school, had to adapt to numerous changes as well as learn to maneuver the computer in the zoom classroom to attend school every day. It was also quite a challenge for some parents and grandparents who were unfamiliar with technology as well. Nonetheless, we learned together and grew together. Some eventually came to school in blended learning, while others remained distance learners. But not once have they come together as one. What better way to end the year and acknowledge all of our accomplishments by planning an end of year celebration. It was a time to show appreciation for our year long perseverance and willingness to persist, adapt and move forward together. Parents as well as students were asked to participate in a drive thru celebration together. Each child was shown the contents of their goodie bag and was thrilled in anticipation of the event. Not only were there tons of food goodies in the bag, there were also facial masks, super hero masks, paper airplane, and even bubble wands. Each bag was adorned with a balloon. They also received a bento lunch. The children felt so special. Thank you so very much Keaukaha School Foundation for your yearly unending support and for funding monies to make the goodie bags and this very joyous and very appreciated event possible.

MAHALO KEAUKAHA SCHOOL FOUNDATION!

During this challenging year of distance learning, Keaukaha School Foundation has allowed our students to create a wonderful Mother's Day project through Zoom! The students are so appreciative for the donation of all of the supplies! Through the generosity of the foundation the students also received a book of their own, and an end of year popcorn party! Thank you very much Keaukaha School Foundation for supporting our students!

Mahalo for supporting teachers during distance learning throughout the fourth quarter. Your generous monetary gift was instrumental in providing continuous learning opportunities for our keiki. On behalf of our class we want to extend our deepest gratitude!

Thank you to our Keaukaha School Foundation for kindly supporting us with $100 to spend during the 4th quarter shutdown of school. The money was used for gift cards from Starbucks and Jamba Juice. Students were rewarded weekly for completing the required online assignments. This incentive motivated the students and they were extremely excited to receive their card in the mail.

The Keaukaha School Foundation has been so very generous with the giving of $100. for the teachers here at Keaukaha Elementary School. I am a recipient of that special gift and would like to thank them for their support and aloha in a time of need during the COVID 19 dilemma. With that gift, I was able to purchase some ink for my printer as I developed special packets for our student's Extended Learning Summer program and also (blue and white-colored Hawaiian print material) to sew face mask for our keikis which is a project that is still being worked on. Thank you Keaukaha School Foundation and the ALOHA of CARE you represent.

The generous support we received from the Keaukaha School Foundation during the 4th quarter of school was a wonderful and blessed gift during a trying time. Their support helped my students continue to feel as if we were still altogether. The funds were used to ensure that their learning, through fun ways, were not interrupted. It was also used to provide them with incentives and rewards for participation and hard work. My students and I were are so grateful to them. Mahalo Nui Keaukaha School Foundation!

During the COVID pandemic, the Foundation supported every teacher to help with the new teachings that we needed to present virtually. I was very touched with the gesture to help us purchase items to help us support our kids. Random acts of kindness such as this doesn't go unnoticed. We are blessed to have such a supportive Foundation!

The Keaukaha School Foundation helped us during our school shut down due to covid-19. With their generous donation, we were able to purchase incentives for our students. During the school closure students had to be self-directed and manage their time wisely. The incentives helped to motivate students. They were so appreciative and proud of their work as we awarded incentives on the last day of school. Mahalo to the Keaukaha School Foundation!

The funds dispersed during COVID-19 from Keaukaha School Foundation allowed me to get incentives for students and show appreciation for all the hard work the Educational Assistant had done in the school year.

During the 4th Quarter of our school shut down, Keaukaha School Foundation provided monetary support for my students as E-Learners instilling the practice of Growth Mindset and GRIT. The monetary donation was utilized purchasing gift cards for their recognition and as a parting farewell gift for the Sixth-grade promotion ceremony.

The Keaukaha School Foundation is awesome! During the 4th quarter of last school year the foundation jumped into action to support our students. They gave us teachers funding so that we could make purchases for students to use in distance learning. We purchased supplies or incentives so that the students were well equipped and motivated to continue learning during a difficult time of adjustment. After making my purchase I felt my students were more enthusiastic to continue their learning virtually. Thank you Keaukaha School Foundation!

The Keaukaha School Foundation has been an amazing supporter of our school! When schools shut down during the 4th quarter and teachers needed to provide distance learning opportunities to students, the Foundation was there to support our educators! Their assistance and constant support is very much appreciated by the staff of Keaukaha Elementary School! Mahalo, KSF!

Keaukaha School Foundation has provided many opportunities for our students to participate in activities both on school grounds as well as in the community. They provide the assistance needed to further cultivate their thirst for knowledge in our students and our staff. Parent involvement activities that inspire our parents and students have benefited from the foundation as well.

Mahalo to Keaukaha School Foundation for their financial support which enables us to provide student enrichment opportunities. Throughout my years at Keaukaha, we have used this funding to take our students on excursions relevant to their studies. For example, when we learned about Earth and space, we visited the Imiloa Astronomy Center. When we taught our students about our core value, Malama (to take care), we went to the zoo to see how the community helps care for the animals. By integrating such excursions into the students' content areas, it allows them to connect their classroom studies with first hand information. Your financial support has been extremely valuable to us.

As a Kumu, the Keaukaha School Foundation has time and time again, helped out our students in making their school activities special for years to come. This past school year, with the help of the Foundation's generous support, we were able to support students in paying for the makings of their May Day costumes. We had many compliments on the costumes and our students were excited in being able to wear something special for the occasion. With another May Day coming up this school year, we are sure that the Foundation will make it special for them again. Mahalo to the Keaukaha School Foundation in every endeavor that they support for the years past and for the years to come.

Aloha to our Keaukaha Foundation for their endearing support for our children from Keaukaha Elementary School. It is with the utmost heartfelt gratitude that I feel when a foundation as such, sets a precedent of supports and gives back to our island Keiki, that one day our Children of Hawaii will give back and support other future generations too, following in the same footsteps. The foundation has foster student enrichment activities, which flourishes the educational learning experiences of our children, which has been portrayed by providing funds to support field trips, transportations, meals and admission fees. As a teacher, I have seen and experience the supports of the foundation, and how they have provided a way for students from Pre-K through 6 grades various opportunities to learn and experience a part of life’s cultural heritage outside the norm of a classroom. Mahalo! `A`ohe lokomaika`i i nele i ke pâna`i – (No kind deed has ever lacked its reward.)

Although new to Keaukaha Elementary School, I have already seen how valuable and generous the Keaukaha School Foundation has been to, not only our Preschool classrooms, but the whole school as well. I am grateful to the foundation for all that they have done for my students. Thank You for your generosity and support.

The Keaukaha foundation has provided many opportunities for students at Keaukaha Elementary through their monetary assistance. Last year our students needed costumes for our May day Kahiko. Keaukaha Foundation provided the funds to help all students look great for this very special cultural occasion. Keaukaha foundation also helps to provide money to purchase incentive items for students who set and meet academic and behavioral goals. Keaukaha foundation also provides monetary assistance for field trip logistics such as transportation. Without Keaukaha foundationʻs kokua, the students would lose out on some of the activities and incentives associated with the development of the whole child.

Mahalo to the Keaukaha School Foundation for all of the support you have provided to both me and my students over the years. Your generous financial support has allowed me to provide my students with resources and valuable experiences that have directly impacted their learning. One learning opportunity that the foundation has positively influenced is our yearly economics Mini-Society unit. Students actively learn what it takes to run their own business. They each have the opportunity to make and sell their products on "Market Day" which is the final culminating activity for the unit. Every year we are so grateful for the support of Keaukaha School Foundation because it allows us to supplement the necessary supplies needed to ensure that each of our third grade classes have 100% student participation. I truly want to send a heartfelt thank you for supporting the growth of our children in the classroom. Mahalo for all that you do!

Keaukaha School Foundation has helped provide funding for my students year after year. With their help, I have been able to plan yearly classroom celebrations and fun, learning excursions. We are all very grateful to have the support of the foundation. Thank you so much!

Kumu Fujii
As a Grade 6 Kumu for many years at Keaukaha Elementary, the Keaukaha School Foundation has provided many avenues for our faculty, staff and especially students. The Keaukaha School Foundation supports and provides funds for school wide activities such as our HERO program, May Day Celebration, and Monthly Ohana (Family) Nights. The Foundation assists the Kumu (teachers) with classroom expenses that cannot be funded through school funds. Many learning opportunities are also through excursions, and the Foundation has provided funding for bus transportation to incur expenses so our keiki (students) can broaden their learning knowledge and experiences.
Students in Sixth grade have enhanced their learning about the ponds in Keaukaha, integrating culminating activities with our core curriculum, Hawaiian, building teamwork, and relationship. The Keaukaha School Foundation has supported our sixth graders subsidizing commodities that cannot be purchased with school funds.
