We adopted two large huskies and a shepherd from this rescue. It was a pleasant experience, with training provided and a step-by-step transition for the animal to the new environment. The staff was with our family every step of the way.
The initial application review was a bit slow, but due to COVID and a short staff, it's understandable. It took us almost one month to get a confirmation from them, during which time they followed up with us every two weeks until the hand-over meet and greet.
It's been over a year, but the organization still does an annual welfare check-up and offers us financial assistance (if needed) or free pet sitting with advance notice. They genuinely care about the animals they adopted out. The short-notice pet-sitting offer helped us out last year with emergency travel due to a family member in the hospital.
I highly recommend this non-profit if you are okay with the longer response time (10 to 14 days).
