Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Children & Youth, Youth Centers & Clubs

Mission: To offer positive creative outlets to the local youths and young adults through offering educational classes and community events.

Programs: In 2014 kauai underground artists offered 1) weekly dance instruction for a total of 5, 7-week sessions servicing 175 children 4-7 year olds, 100 8-12 year olds, 30 teens and 25 adults. 2) bi-annual community dance parties with 75 children 12 and under in attendance. 3) toddler dance party for 30 children 5 and under. Awarded a grant from the poipu rotary club to help continue services.

the kuga visual arts program strives to expose students to famous artists, art history, the elements of art, and technical skills while giving them ample creative freedom to ensure their artwork is uniquely their own. Program services 80 children ages 4-7 years old, 55 children 8-12 years old, and 8 teens ages 13-17 years old. Awarded funding for supplies and scholarships from the arts4moore tides foundation $2,000. 00

kuga was acknowledged by the hawaii state legislature at the 6th annual love life creative festival on may 30th, 2014 which expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the organization for the selfless devotion and and commitment to fostering a positive environment for the youth of kauai.
