Katy Visual & Performing Arts is an incredible nonprofit. They provide these kids an amazing learning experience while keeping things super fun! The owner and staff are very involved and it has a great community feel to it.
As President of KVPAC Board and donor, I have seen talent brought to fulfilment in children, students and adults in award winning theater productions. Hurricane Harvey caused us to loose our home in Katy, Tx . We have relocated in Fulshear, Tx as Encore Arts. Art class and theater productions continued to be held in rented facilities. We have struggled since December to get City Permits in order and have finally been able to open our facility. The Magyar family has worked tirelessly to make sure this happened. We desperately need donations and continued support to continue this wonderful nonprofit.

As a former KISD art teacher, I have known about KVPAC since its' beginning, but did not become involved until 2016. At first I only came to the Encore theater, next step, a volunteer, then a donor and a board member. Currently I am honored to serve as Board President. I have never met a more dedicated group of people involved with a nonprofit. The Preschool is outstanding and full of unique learning experiences. Student productions are directed by talented, caring professionals who bring out the best in young actors. The adult Encore is a nationally recognized award winning Theater Company. Tuitions are kept as low as possible, but salaries, rent, utilities etc. must be paid. Our physical plant and many of our children's families were severely effected by Harvey and cannot afford tuition. We are in desperate need of your financial help for scholarships or repairs. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to KVPAC by going to kvpac.org. I have. It made me smile!
I’ve been at KVPAC for 7 years and I’ve had the privilege of learning all sides of theatre, from stage managing to being in a musical chorus. Kvpac takes care of it’s kids and loves us all and I’ve gotten to meet so many wonderful people here. This place will always be my home.
KVPAC provides artist who work at Texas Children's Hospital with cancer and organ transplant patients. These artists support the children creating a piece of art during their hospital stay in an effort to provide them with some distraction and joy. This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts and donations from our KVPAC families.
Most of my experience so far is with the PreK at KVPAC. There, my daughter received a loving, art and play-based early childhood education that helped prepare her to succeed in kindergarten. Everyone I have met at KVPAC is sincerely devoted to sharing their love of theatre and the arts. It’s a very valuable and important resource for our community!

The KVPAC theater program is AMAZING! My daughter is 10 and has learned so much since she auditioned and made company last year. She's does several after school activities but KVPAC is by far her favorite, and she looks forward to it all week long. The staff is wonderful, the kids are friendly and accepting, and the acting program is superb. We feel part of a wonderful community of truly nice people. I began volunteering here just to help out where I could; and the more I get to know everyone, the more I love it. This is a great place for the whole family to get involved.
KVPAC's Encore Players (their community theatre group) has won many awards and competedin 2017 at the national level. Truly a gem! This past weekend I attended their production of Reefer Madness. The cast was talented, the show tastefully performed and very entertaining! I highly recommend supporting this organization as it is worth the investment.
