I think this is the most wonderful, well run and needed thing for our folks with disabilities! Katie’s House x 4 are all safe, supervised housing with plenty of activities. This model should be followed throughout NJ!!
This is the best nonprofit. Parents doing the best for their special children. Private group homes are the best.
Dawn Mullen❤️ Katie’s House
They do much for many. Not just their in-home residences, but their community involvement with their special needs young adults to help the community and participate in so many charitable events. The adults living in all of their homes are busy from morning till night and lead a very fulfilled life! Not to mention, that for the aides that are employed there it’s a great place to work.

Katie's House is a phenomenal nonprofit which provides social, educational, and community experiences for individuals with disabilities as well as providing real life housing which enables individuals to live the every day lives we all want to live.
These people are just an absolutely wonderful crew. I can't say enough nice things about them. The people involved have the kindest hearts. They are so nice. It has been a great pleasure working with them periodically over the past 8+ years. I look forward to more to come. I would definitely recommend them!
I have been visiting and involved with Katie's for over 12 years now. I can only say wonderful things about this nonprofit. They have made over 100's of families feel welcomed in so many ways including but not limited to social events , parent advocacy , parent planning , parent discussions , young adult peer based dances and community service events .. We only hope one day to be half as successful in helping the lives of others such as they have been .
I am a staff member for Katies House I've been with the organization for almost 2 years. Katies House is a great place for learning, and helping adults with disabilities to go out into the workplace it also provides social gatherings so everyone gets to mingle with each other. It is a privilege to work for Katies House .
Katies House is where my daughter has been able to connect with friends. Being 32 living at
home and not able to drive, write, read or able to be understood and accurately communicate
we are thank ful for this non profit Also evelyn the founder along with her husband conrad have mentored my husband and I to tsrstart our own non profitfor aadults living with and affected by developmental disabilites. It is under their mentorship and direction that we are a 2 year old non profit, with support volunteers and getting ready to purchase a farm / home for adults to live work and thrive in community
Katie's House has helped my son find his way to adulthood. When I was introduced to Katie's House Richard had nothing to do but sit home and watch tv. He did whatever he wanted, had no friends, spent his time in front of the tv. KH provided activities for him to attend where he would be with others who became his friends. He started attending sign language class, dance class, cooking class. It was wonderful to see him doing something productive! KH pointed me in the direction of the YMCA and volunteer work. Their Friendship Group provided activities every Friday night to different local activities or just hanging out together. But the biggest reward was finding a house for Rich! KH guided me through the confusing process of accessing government assistance through SS, Medicaid, DDD... Finally, I can rest assured that Rich has a place to live after I am gone, with people who care about him and help him to become more independent. This means the world to me!
Katie‘s house is a well run organization. Staff and the upper management go over and above to see that all the residence needs are met. Staff are very dedicated and get everyone involved within the communities as well as offering services to people who live at home with their parents. Unique and wonderful organization to be involved with.
Katie's House is a wonderful non-profit that's sole focus is the betterment of the lives of adults with disabilities. From providing housing to facilitating weekly social outings, Katie's House wants their members to lead successful, healthy, engaging, and fulfilled lives. This is truly a wonderful organization that puts the members first every single time.
I love Katie’s House. I had fun there with my friends making T-shirts and just hanging out.
There are no words adequate enough to express our gratitude to Evelyn Dudziec, the mom who established and runs the wonderful Katie's House. We were also blessed to have a daughter with special needs who would require a dignified and loving home for life. When it was clear our options would be extremely limited to none, an internet search took to us to Katie's House, a fine role model for any family who wants to create a lovely life for their child. Evelyn has generously donated countless hours to help us get our own 501c3 up and running. This included a trip to Katie's House where we were treated to a tour. It is everything we could have wished for and more. The home is gorgeously appointed, clean and meticulously run. She took the time to sit down with us to go thru the process of creating our own home - step-by-step - all paperwork included. Her contribution has been invaluable to so many families. It is also great to see how she manages all of her funding and the administration of household needs and expenses. Careful with very penny. Knows who to talk to for reduced fees and services. Spends much of her time caring for other families who have disability issues. How wonderful to see how well Katie is thriving in her life of independence and to see how Katie's House is able to reach out to the community at large by offering programs like dances cooking classes, pool parties and more. This organization deserves every 5-star!
