I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to the Kailee Mills Foundation. My daughter Ruby Chavez passed away on February 17, 2018, since this time we have become very good friends because we share the same pain. I know this is hard to understand how pain can bring someone together. I am thankful because they embraced us when we were total strangers. I never knew foundations did this, that they could care so much! During our funeral preparations they extended their hands to us financially, again something I never expected. Who does that; if they don’t care about you. During this time, they express love to myself and my family. Nevertheless, I ended up leaving my job of 27 years to help my family in this process of grief. My family needed a hug and I could not do that if I was working. Once the Kailee Mills Foundation realized I wasn’t working they send us funding $$ again. The Chavez family is forever grateful to the Kailee Mills Foundation for their love and support during the hardest times of our lives. I consider them family because only family does what they have done for us. I pray for God to continue to bless the Kailee Mills Foundation.Sincerely,Sonia and Salomon ChavezFamily
Through their own personal tragedy this foundation is helping save lives all over the United States. They spend countless hours in the community getting the word out about seatbelt awareness, visiting local schools and showing up at events. My family has had 2 close calls, which without this foundation my girls would not be here.... wearing a seatbelt wasn’t always done but through the efforts of this foundation and the Mills family we do...we all do..every rider every driver every time we are in the car.
This is a wonderful organization doing what needs to de done to educate on seatbelt awareness to save lives ❤
I live in the same area as the Mills family. My family and I feel passionate about what the Kailee Mills foundation stands for. We had the opportunity to volunteer at an event with Diana Mills. We felt privileged to be able to share Kailee’s story and will continue to do so.
I am a Kansas Advocate for the Kailee Mills Foundation and I am very Blessed & Honored to share their story all over Kansas and everywhere I go.. I go to schools in my area with the SAFE and spread Kailee’s story, I got our Kansas LEO on board with spreading Kailee’s story as well as putting her Seatbelt decal on their patrol cars. My decal is on my SUV inside & out and will forever be!!!
This Entire Family has stolen my heart and will forever be with me!! Anything I can do for Kailee Mills Foundation, I’m on it! Anything I can do for the Mills Family, I’ll do what I can, My Dear Friends!!
This young lady went to the school I worked at. They are fabulous parents. They got out right away to talk to the kiddos and share their story the same week their precious daughter passed away.
They did not want any others parents and friends going through what they went through. Sharing that seatbelts must be on at all times, in the front and back. They are the most giving people you could meet.
They share their story all over. Bless you all.
I can’t say enough amazing things about this non profit. Very near and dear to my heart. The Mills family has taken the most tragic event that can happen to a mother, father, brother (this list goes on) and are bringing a positive message forward. Through their pain, they continue to raise awareness so that lives can be saved. They are making a difference!!
This Foundation is a true testimony to God’s grace, the strength that can be mustered up through faith, and the determination to turn a tragedy into something triumphant, even in spite of unending tears and heartbreak. If you know their story, you know that the Mills family is living through every parent’s worst nightmare. Not only are they living through it, they have been determined from the beginning of this tragic journey, to help save other people’s lives. Each day, they are turning their grief and their faith into deeds and works. There are countless people who have come forward to say they have been impacted by Kailee’s story. There have been parents, children, news outlets and newspapers, literally all over the world, who have heard their message. “Always buckle up. Stay buckled until the car is in park. Speak up if you don’t feel safe as a passenger.” It’s a simple, yet critical message for people of all ages. The Kailee Mills Foundation is taking steps every day to educate people on the real statistics of seatbelt safety, while also humbly exhibiting tremendous grace and gratitude. I’m proud to volunteer for this organization. I’m grateful to call these people my friends. And most of all, I’m honored to take part in their journey, and excited to see this organization grow.
This nonprofit is absolutely heart warming, loving, and inspirational! Kailee is an amazing young woman who meant so much to so many! This nonprofit takes her story to reach out and save so many lives! I am proud to be apart of the Kailee Mills Foundation community! #beselfishaboutyoursafety
I never met Kailee, I had only heard about her since we went to the same school. This organization’s members took me in to their Kailee Mills Foundation Family as if I were Kailee’s best friend. They have so much love and positivity to spread from a horrific incident. The way they turned their tragedy into what the Kailee Mills Foundation is today is absolutely amazing. I dont know how they do it. They are so strong and I love them with all my heart.
The Kailee Mills Foundation has touched my family's life in ways they will never know. My family was in a devastating car accident when I was 16, and if it hadn't been for our seatbelts, none of us would have made it out alive. Sometimes, it is easy to forget the part our seatbelt had that day. It is unbelievably tragic that a loss of an incredible life had to bring this about, but it is beautiful the way Kailee is living on and saving lives. Before Kailee's story, I might have unbuckled to reach around for the kids to grab a toy, or wipe their nose, or move to to the back to sit by them if they were upset, but NEVER AGAIN! I will always stay buckled and pull over if it is that urgent that I need to unbuckle. Thank you guys for all of the lives you are saving! God bless you!
I did not know the Mills family prior to Kailee’s accident but live close to them in the community. I have followed Kailee’s story and watched this foundation form from the beginning. Through grief and loss they have worked hard to promote seatbelt awareness. I can’t say enough about this incredible family and the foundation they have created.
Watching Kailee's family build this foundation, spread awareness, and help other grieving families, all while still grieving their own loss, is nothing short of amazing! I am so proud of what they have accomplished in just one year! The day after Kailee passed, her dad said he was going to go big, and he certainly did! I can't wait to see what else this amazing foundation contributes to our community.
KMF has changed the way I view seatbelts and has educated me on the importance of seatbelt safety and has allowed me to educate others on the importance of it.
I have been involved with Kailee Mills Foundation since the beginning. The impact on the community, myself, and my family has been tremendous! Becoming so much more aware of seat belt and road safety, our family habits have 100% changed for the better! So many lives have been and will be saved because of this Foundation! Keep spreading the message!!
It is amazing how great their accomplishments are in the short amount of time they have been established. Creating a legacy for their 16 year old daughter by spreading seat belt awareness and saving lives is not only astounding but heart warming. David and Wendy's strength, love, and determination is what makes it easy to devote my time volunteering. Wonderful cause and in honor of an amazing young lady.
