Mission: Founded in march 2012, k9s 4 mobility, inc. Is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of others through the training, placement and support of assistance dog partnerships. K9s 4 mobility, inc. Received 501c3 non-profit status in august, 2013. All Assistance Dog placements are made in the person's home and environment. Each dog Is matched with the person based on need, personality and lifestyle. We have established an owner-trained assistance dog training program that is offered to those wishing to train their own assistance dog under the supervision of a certified assistance dog trainer. One accepted into the owner-trained program, the person must be willing to travel to k9s 4 mobility's training facility multiple times during the 6-9 months of training before certification of the team.
Results: In December 2016,we had trained and placed eighteen assistance dogs, enriching the lives of their owners by enhancing their mobility, increasing their independence and confidence, and providing devoted companionship.
