I will be forever grateful to K9 Spirit for my little boy Louis. Lucky for me , Louis (known as Chewie) was being fostered by a childhood friend and I happened to see him on her Facebook page. I applied and K9 Spirit arranged everything from a house check down in San Diego to the meeting with our other dog up in Brea. It all happened so fast and smoothly. Louis is a great addition to our family and we love him to pieces. Thanks to Stacy, Debbie, and K9 Spirit Organization for giving him a second chance.

I have adopted three dogs from K9 Spirit Organization. Each experience has been wonderful. This rescue takes the necessary steps to ensure the dogs receive proper medical attention and that they are matched with the proper home to fit everyone’s needs. We have the perfect dogs for our family, including our son (who is 4 and severely autistic). Penny (the dog) is so amazing with him. I could not imagine a better match. They play together and she can calm him down like none other. She is even registered as a support dog for him.

Absolutely love Stacy and the wonderful volunteers. Will be adopting again from K9 Spirit when the time comes.

I’ve always believed in adopting from rescues and a few months ago I adopted my beautiful dog from K9 spirit. They truly love what they do. My dog like many have been abused, neglected or abandoned. They take them in and make them feel loved again. My Luna was fostered for 2 years from Dana. This was a very broken dog. When I adopted her she was ready to love and be loved. I can honestly say that Dana has become a wonderful friend . We communicate almost daily even tho we only met once. They are trustworthy and they communicate with you. They don’t ignore you. They truly believe in what they do. I will always adopt from K9 spirit organization and no where else. They truly are the best.

I am incredibly grateful for K9 Spirit Organization. When Stacy McNabb went to the shelter that day to rescue a different dog in need she saw Bamboo and knowing he was going to be euthanized saved him as well. What makes Bamboo's rescue so special is he was around 15 at the time so to take a chance on a senior dog with medical issues, not knowing if you will ever be able to find him a home, takes a very big heart. From the minute I reached out to Stacy I knew Bamboo was meant to join my family and we have stayed in touch ever since I adopted him. She truly cares not just about the dogs in her rescue, but about all dogs and has been so supportive when one of my other seniors passed. This rescue and all those behind it are compassionate and dedicated people who are truly doing this to help so many dogs in need of loving homes. They all deserve a medal!

K9 Spirit is the most honest, compassionate and ethical dog rescue in Orange County CA ! With tireless leader Stacy taking the lead, K9 Spirit has rescued and rehabilitated 100s of dogs and adopted these sweet souls to “perfect” forever families...they are not the biggest or richest rescue, but each pup K9SO takes in becomes part of the rescue family forever ❤️ Having an awesome team of volunteers that transport, foster, home check, train and rehab their rescued dogs is the key to success. K9 Spirit takes in seniors and challenging medical rescues.. No expense is spared on medical veterinary care - even specialty care. Each member of the K9 Spirit pack is loved and cared for just like each volunteers personal pet. You truly can’t get better than this rescue. “No regrets just rescue”. Adopt don’t shop! K9 Spirit is simply the best!

I have fostered dogs for a number of rescues and K9 Spirit has become my most trusted rescue to work with. They take care of all their dogs’ medical needs and make sure each dog is placed in the best home. Most older dogs come to us with very neglected teeth, and K9 always has their dental cleanings done. Every medical need is taken care of, no matter how big or small. I highly recommend fostering and adopting from K9 Spirit!

After losing my 2 dogs at 15 and 16 years old a couple years, I decided I would foster dogs for awhile. A friend worked with K9 Spirit Organization and connected me. It is one of the most rewarding things especially with such a wonderful committed rescue. Everyone in the group are volunteers so every $ goes to help the dogs. K9 Spirit does not shy away from medical need or seniors that might not have a chance otherwise and give them the best medical care possible. They carefully screen adopters to help ensure a good match and are around after for support. This also you as volunteer to feel joy in the adoption of your fosters knowing they will loved and well cared for. If you are looking for ways to help dogs consider fostering. It truly saves lifes and Is so rewarding.

K9 Spirit Organization has saved the lives of countless dogs. Dogs that without K9 Spirit probably wouldn’t be here today. They do not turn down the tough cases - the behavioral or medical dogs whose people have let them down. Instead they give them the best medical care possible and their experienced volunteers work with the dog to rebuild their trust in people and make them into wonderful adoptable pets. Once the dogs are ready for adoption they carefully screen and make sure it is a good match on both sides so the adoption truly becomes their forever home. I am the beneficiary of 3 dogs from K9 Spirit - wonderful, sweet loving dogs - all 3 of which would probably not be here today without K9 Spirit. The first was with K9 Spirit for 2 years, the second required a costly liver shunt surgery and the third came from a puppy mill breeder as a very sick puppy. If you are looking for a dog, please consider adopting from a rescue. K9 Spirit would be a great one! They know their dogs and will give you honest information about the dog. They are also there after adoption to help with any needs or questions. If you are an animal lover, looking to help dogs, your donation will not be wasted here.

This is a fantastic rescue organization! They spare no expense for the medical dogs they rescue, to give them every opportunity to thrive. I adopted a little guy who has deformed back legs and was impressed by the extent of the medical work up he received through k9 Spirit. A surgeon was consulted to find if there was any surgical solution. When that turned out not to be possible he went to two months of physical therapy which made him stronger and more confident in his movements. So he’s the best and strongest he can be. I’ve fostered for them and that was a great experience as well. Stacy was always available to discuss any concern I had. They want the best life for all their rescued dogs. If you’re fostering or wanting to adopt, K9 Spirit Organization is an excellent choice!

I love K9 Spirit Organization! I got involved with the group more than 5 years ago. I saw a little pup on line and reached out to Stacy. The puppy was already in a safe situation but she was concerned with a little brindle chihuahua. I offered to step up and help. I originally set out to foster Bridget aka my princess. She was very underweight and shut down. One of the many things I love about this group is they don't cherry pick the easily adoptable ones. They rescue the ones that need the most help. She gained weight and became alot more healthy. I realized a few months into it that I couldn't give her up. She was already a part of my heart. On Mothers Day weekend about 7 months after I decided to help a little one out she became officially mine. Stacy said she was mine all along. When I am ready to adopt again I will be like many others and will adopt again with K9 Spirit.

We foster dogs through this rescue. This is an amazing group of people that make this rescue possible. They get all the dogs that go out and even take back dogs that were once adopted. Can’t say enough about this amazing group!!!

This rescue goes above and beyond for the animals they save! They ensure every dog they take gets the proper care they need. The group sees their dogs thru to adoption, no matter how long it may be. They are a group I recommend, I donate to and I've volunteered with!

Volunteers are professional and care very much for the animals they have rescued. The vet care given is a high priority as well as matching the dog to the right home making many happy families and tails.

I first became aware of K9 Spirit Organization in Feb 2018. I wanted to adopt a dog, was searching online and a picture of this precious little guy named Eli popped up. I was immediately in love and submitted an application. Although we live about 3 hours away, K9 Spirit had a volunteer in our area to conduct a home inspection. They are very picky to say the least, and I was very impressed. Once approved, we drove 3 hours to pick up sweet little Eli. He was a senior with a sad story and sadly, we lost precious Eli, I still miss him every single day. Not long after that, Stacy contacted me about a little chihuahua named “Fred”, owner surrendered and a senior that needed a good home. One look at his picture and we fell in love again. In a short time, we were on our way to pick up Fred and we adore him. I have followed K9 Spirit online since I adopted Eli.
They rescue the abandoned, the injured, and often the sick little ones. Often, they take in those that no one else wants. The volunteers work constantly and tirelessly to save every dog they take in. This isn’t a 9 to 5 job, they work around the clock, feeding or administering medication to the sick or injured little ones. They spare no expense on vet bills and will move mountains to save each and every dog they possibly can. When most people, including other rescue organizations, might say, the cost is too great, we need to put our money into dogs we KNOW we can save, K9 Spirit says we will put our last dime into giving this little guy a chance and they do. This isn’t a job for them. They don’t get paid, this is their life and their passion. Sometimes things don’t turn out as they hoped, once in awhile there is a little one they tried to save that doesn’t make it. You can just sense their heartbreak in their post. Each and every little one that crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, knew love and kindness in their final days. The volunteers make sure they are not alone. The love and compassion they are shown is something that some animals will never know in their life time.
On a probably too personal note, 2020 has been a crazy year and Covid 19 hit too close to home. When my family was on quarantine for 14 days due to a confirmed exposure, my fear was that my husband and I might not survive if we did get sick. The thought of my four dogs going just anywhere terrified me. We have adult kids but they have their families and their own pets. I reached out to Stacy, explained what was going on and asked if she would take in our dogs if something happened. Her immediate response? “Of course I will take your babies!” I felt such a sense of relieve to know that if the worse case happened, my dogs would be taken care of until a new home was found for them. I knew K9 Spirit would be very selective about who adopted them because that’s what they do.
If you are looking for an organization to support, whether it be time or money, I encourage anyone to support K9 Spirit Organization. This is a great group of people that put the animals they save above their own needs. “No regrets, just rescue” is their motto and they live by this daily.

K9 Spirit Org has changed my life and lives of many, many dogs! They rescued my dog Trudy from a shelter where she would have died. She was found on the streets and at intake she was 6lbs. When K9 Spirit rescued her from the pound she had dwindled to 2.9lbs.
They help the sick and the old. They pull the dogs that everyone else gives up on, and they pay the bill for them. They don't skimp on costs, but work their tails off to fundraise and pay off their vet bills. It is not an easy job, yet they lovingly do it for all of those dogs! They are an AMAZING rescue!!
