Justice for Children does exceptional work in serving abused and neglected children that have been failed by the child welfare system. Without this organization many children would remain in unsafe environments. They are true advocates both on the civil and criminal side of child abuse and neglect cases. I have worked for this agency and now sit on the board. What the organization stands for is what our communities are in desperate need of, and that is to ensure the safety of our children.

Unfortunately they will give false hope for months and months only to turn around and say “sorry, we can’t help.”

They talk the talk but do not walk the walk and leave the very children in the situations they claim to help them out of.

Be carful when donating to this non profit.

Stop It Now and Rainn referred me to
justice for Children in 2017. I am the maternal grandmother of an eight year old grandson. He has been the victim of sexual abuse by a half-sister who’s six years older since he was 18 months old. He has also been mentally, verbally and physically abused by bio father where the half-sister resides. When I contacted JFC, I completed the intake, sent copies of all the court documents. JFC sent a letter to the magistrate stating that according to what I stated and sent them, the magistrate should reconsider his decision because of the danger my grandson is in since he was to be with father 50% of the time. All this did was anger the magistrate and built a path of destruction for my daughter’s never ending custody battle. In 2018, father filed for custody for the third time. After a three year, lengthy trial due to Covid, my daughter lost custody in November 2021 stating Parental Alienation. Our daughter could have no contact for at least 90 days which ended up over five months. He was removed from his mother and step-fathers home, removed from his school, football team, friends without any closure.
There were over fifty objections filed which were overruled. Now it’s on to appellate court and we have been advised it will not get overturned there either. The father has a long history of drug and alcohol abuse, domestic violence and child endangerment. He has four children by four different women; he is married to his youngest (2 year old) son’s mother at this time.
During the custody trial, I was told the magistrate greatly dislikes me because I contacted JFC and they sent him a letter. He made threats (not on record) that he might award my grandson to the state and that my daughter needs to learn to work with the bio father. The magistrate also stated that the grandmother, myself, would never get our grandson if he decided to award him to the state.
My grandson has been in counseling over four years for PTSD and his psychologist believes all his statement of abuses are true.
Needless to say, she is no longer his therapist. My daughter did make contact with JFC after this happened, but has had no luck.
This child has reached out to school counselors, school resource officers, had three forensic interview that sexual abuse was indicated but not substantiated, jumped out of a moving vehicle and ran to police to ask them to help him not go back to bio fathers because bad things happen to him there, made and had a suicide plan, threats to harm bio father. There is so much more. There was a court appointed Guardian Ad Litem that advocated for father and half-sister instead of my grandson that she was supposed to be concerned with.
Please help before this child is destroyed beyond repair.

I first learned about this incredible nonprofit years ago as a law student seeking opportunities to learn more about child advocacy and CPS law. JFC not only provided me with these learning opportunities by having me sit in on Board meetings and assist with intake; but now, as a practicing attorney, I have maintained my relationship with JFC and its distinguished Board of Directors and Staff, and continue to be inspired by their fierce advocacy of protecting neglected children and youth who cannot speak for themselves.

Justice for Children advocates on behalf of abused and neglect children nationwide. It is the only organization of its kind that deals with the civil and criminal matters of child abuse. Having seen firsthand the failings in several cases, there is an immense need for its advocacy in our communities. I feel truly blessed to have worked alongside JFC to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.

My daughter is thirty years old now and still so severely alienated from me as though it was the first day she had been returned to her diabolical mother facilitated by this organization. Justice for Children denies the existence of Parental Alienation and for that alone nobody should ever donate a penny to it. I am living proof that it failed and destroyed me, my daughter, and my granddaughter.

Certainly its been another year since I made my initial offering here on the likes of Justice for Children (JFC). They just had another gala fundraiser at the Hotel Zaza. I was there to protest them once again. This time They sent the cops out to run me off the public sidewalk where I had peacefully assembled myself. JFC should be properly embarrassed.

Its been ninteen years since I have had a relationship with my daughter because JFC stepped into ourlives and destroyed it. My daughter now 24 years of age and with my granddaughter is as yet still fearful of me because of the intrusion of JFC and the fact that my daughter was returned to a severe level parental alienation abuser when she was only 6 1/2 years of age. My daughter suffers from a divided mind because of the abuse perpetrated upon her via JFC and her mother.

JFC must make restitution and ask for forgiveness. Unless and until it does it remains in DENIAL. Furthermore, JFC is sexist and rejects the existence of parental alienation as a bona fide form of child and adult abuse. Nothing could be farther from truth.

I recommend this organization which functions as the voice of abused and neglected child. Justice For Children is unique as they advocate and intervene on behalf of the abused and neglected child at any stage of an abused child's case.
