Mission: JustAct is a national, non-profit organization whose education and movement-building efforts seek to promote the emergence of a powerful and unified global youth movement led by young people of color and working class youth in the U.S. and around the world. Through the development of national and international activist networks, and through training camps, globalization workshops, experience-based learning and direct action mobilizing, JustAct develops economic literacy and leadership skills to enhance young people's critical analysis of global issues as these relate to their lives and communities, helping them to be more effective advocates for social and economic justice.
Programs: JustAct coordinates a national cross-race, cross-class youth that is led predominantly by youth of color, or young people from working class and other historically marginalized and under-represented communities. The intent of the network is to facilitate communication and collaboration between students and youth across the U.S. and our allies in the Global South, and to develop critical thinking on global issues and promote understanding and activism around globalization in our local communities. JustAct develops and facilitates trainings and workshops on globalization and other social, economic and political injustices facing communities around the world, for student groups and community youth organizations. JustAct also provides leadership and educational development opportunities for students and youth through direct participatory learning experiences.
