We absolutely had a wonderful experience with "Just Us For the Animals". We were interested in a couple of sister kitties and applied. Stephanie wasted no time in processing our application and calling all our references, vets, etc. I loved that she actually checked out that we were responsible and good pet owners. Folks have to keep in mind that this organization absolutely cares infinitely about all the animals in their care, if they think you have done something questionable in the past with a pet, forget about it! Also, folks must know that this organization doesn't actually have a facility but it has volunteers who do all the fostering in their own respective homes while being parents, having full time jobs, running a household, etc.
Anyway, days weeks and months after adopting these two little maniacs, Stephanie had plenty of advice, suggestions and was happy to receive updates from our new little family. Now we've had these girls for nearly 7 months and they are a delightful additional to our household.
Attaching a recent photo of our two Flamepoint Siamese girls and our older Seal Point Siamese boy. My heart could nearly burst from all the joy, laughs and entertainment they all give on the daily.
They don't list a phone number so when you email them asking for someone to contact you by phone, no one does. They clearly aren't in any hurry to find homes for these animals. The email they sent me was horribly unprofessional and rude. I hate to say it, but get your pets somewhere else. I feel terrible for the pets that are stuck at this place.
In twenty years, my wife and I have had two cats.
Our first cat was with us from 1998-2016.
Our second cat, from a rescue , had several undisclosed medical issues which caused him to pass away recently.
Because we gave him away to a shelter along with a significant donation because we did not want to watch him suffer. This shelter deemed us unworthy of ever having a cat again.
Do not do business or support this alleged shelter.
They are not in the business of helping cats. They are in business to only help themselves

We do have a process for our adoptions. We always call the vet for a reference and they gave us a different series of events as to why you surrendered your cat the week before you applied for one of ours. Based on the information we received from your vet and personal references, we felt that another applicant was a better fit for the kitty. We only have the cat's best interest at heart and will not be bullied into a decision that we do not feel is best for the cat.

Thank you for your review however when you post a review please be honest and explain why you were denied a cat through our organization instead of omitting the facts!!
I believe Lana from Godot Animal Sanctuary read and answered my review but
she didn't sign her name. Something was written: me think not. Referring,
I would imagine, that she will not let us visit our cats. She just took my $6,000
donation as a Doner and we don't know what conditions our cats are living in.
In my opinion, this is Not An Ethical Practice for having an animal sanctuary.
Taking money from Senior Citizens for lifetime care of their pets and not allowing
them to visit to see for themselves how their animals are living, or have the Option
to take them back home. My opinion, this is Unethical and Mean. Will pursue
this further and post outcome.....

As we stated in our email to you, there are only 2 of us that run the rescue. We are not a shelter nor do we have a facility. We also have full time jobs and families. It is easier for us to communicate through email. We tried to answer your questions, but you refused to communicate through email and became rude. The animal that you were interested in had gotten a lot of applications and we had asked you to fill out an application as well. We try our best and only have the animals' best interests at heart. We try to make sure that the animal that is up for adoption goes into a home that is the best match for their personality so that they will have the best chance of success. We have no problem finding homes for our cats and dogs. And we have had very few returned. All of our adoptables are in foster homes, so they are treated as part of the family until they are adopted.

Thank you for your review however we clearly state on our page we are NOT a facility with open hours our fosters are in our homes snd we also clearly explained it to you via email while I was at my job.. and if you asked us to call I also told you that I would be able to call when I was not at my full time paying job! Our adoption which was also explained to you is not a hurry up snd get the animal!! We will never apologize for carefully finding great homes!! Again thsnkd for your negative review because we know specifically who wrote this and can pass your name along to other rescues so they know who not to adopt to!!
