Mission: The junior league of st. Louis (jlsl) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The junior league of st. Louis provides volunteers, program funding and technical assistance to the community within its focus and areas of concentration:- protecting and empowering our children- women's health and well beingjlsl actively trains its members to better serve the community through:- offering a curriculum in skills development and critical community issues- volunteer training which prepares members for league and community leadership- a comprehensive training program for those new to the organization- emphasis on practical experience within jlsl's multi-faceted organization
Programs: The junior league of st. Louis (jlsl) donates countless volunteer hours annually to the community, supports selected community programs financially and with volunteers to complement jlsl focus, and provides the st. Louis community with trained, effective community volunteers. Jlsl members serve on numerous not for profit boards and chair countless events annually.
