General projects - promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers for exclusively educational and charitable purposes.
specific projects: patient perks - volunteers visit patients in the childrens hospital twice weekly for twenty weeks and collect books and magazines to be used at the hospital adopt a school - volunteers purchase organize and distribute school supplies for the entire student body at an elementary school in galveston county area. Community assistance fund - supports local non-profit organizations through direct support and grants ronald mcdonald house - provides funds to purchase items for the house (ie blankets, cribs). Residents of the house are temporarily living in the area while their child is being terated at a local hospital
scholarships - issues scholarships to local college bound women in need of financial assistance. Done in a day - supports other galveston county nonprofit organizations by providing trained volunteers for single-day events, such as special people's ball and alzheimer's walkkids in the kitchen - develop and coordinate child care activities involving food and nutrition.
