Mission: To inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy via partnerships with business, schools and volunteers. To teach key concepts of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
Programs: Junior achievement operated ja city, a "mini-municipality" designed to support junior achievement's experiential learning programs, complete with all the infrastructure of a real city- from a town square to a bank to a health clinic. Ja finance park teaches students skills in managing personal finances. Ja city provides real-life business experience to participating students. Approximately 14,000 students visited ja city during the year.
junior achievement of utah reaches over 85,000 students in 3,300 classrooms per year with in-class and after-school programs provided by trained volunteers who facilitate hands-on activities at every grade level. With a range of different programs, ja provides educational experiences relating to entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness while our volunteers bring real-life business experience and guidance into the classroom.
