Mission: Junior Achievement of Central Florida (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success, plan for their future and make smart academic and economic choices. Our volunteer-delivered K-12 programs prepare all graduating students in Central Florida to be financially literate; grounded in free enterprise, leadership and entrepreneurial principles; and ready for the workforce. JA programs make a connection between lessons learned in the classroom and real-world applications - through relevant, interactive programming. Our goal is for every student to be equipped with the right tools to take advantage of the abundant opportunities in America's free enterprise system. JA is a unique organization because we believe that every student has the potential to succeed in life - regardless of his or her background or economic status. JA increases young people's awareness of all the options life has to offer and helps them realize just how much they can do. We inspire them to set and attain goals that are personally important to them. You can't dream big if your world is small. Over the past 50 years, Junior Achievement of Central Florida has inspired more than a million Central Florida students. Our goal this year is to reach more students with valuable JA classroom programs. These accomplishments would not be possible without the involvement of our dedicated board members, classroom volunteers and generous supporters. The investment we make in the children of today will pay dividends in the future as they mature into productive community members and leaders.
