Causes: Disaster Aid, Search & Rescue Squads
Mission: To provide volunteer technical search and rescue services and backcountry safety training for the northern southeast alaska area.
Programs: During 2017, juneau mountain rescue was called out on 21 rescue requests.
juneau mountain rescue provided public education sessions and participated in safety fairs and community wide seminars in joint efforts with ski patrol, seadogs and ccf/r special teams. Jrm also provided volunteer technical search and rescue services and backcountry safety training for the northern southeast alaska area.
juneau mountain rescue trained all team members in life-saving medical, avalanche, search and rope rescue skills.
