Mission: A faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to meeting the needs of people and sowing the seeds of change for better lives in the poorest and most rural regions of appalachia in east tn. Our program targets the elderly and youth around core values of food,security,and shelter
Programs: Workcamps are organized to meet the housing and shelter needs of very low income families using volunteer labor. Workcamps complete home repairs icluding failing roofs, plumbing, insulation, handicapped accessibility, heat and much more. In 2017, workcamps did multiple home repairs on homes in hancock county from making homes handicapped accessible, fixed leaking roofs, installed bathrooms, showers and much more.
living waters - program bringing clean drinking water to those in our area that are without. 360 gallons of drinking water were distributed and 7 individuals received the ability in their home to obtain clean drinking water.
youth program - gives young people the opportunity to grow in faith through service to others in a community plagued by idle time and drug and alcohol abuse. We also taught a nutritional cooking class to all the youth stressing healthy eating and how to do that with a low income budget. Worked with the youth with team building games where the youth learn leadership and working together. Took groups from youth program to the annual resurrection outing in gatlinburg where they are given a spiritually filled weekend. Sent 5 youth to church camp.
