I love taking classes at Jubili. Knowing how they offer classes to special needs people, I feel that by supporting this business I am also helping. The staff is so helpful and knowledgable. I hope more people take advantage of the unique classes they offer.
My son attends Jubili Creations 4 days a week and looks forward to it. He is excited and happy with all the different crafts and jewelry that he makes. The environment and atmosphere is inviting and the people who works with him are very nurturing and caring. Dr. Weinstein herself is a very caring and nurturing person who cares about all her attendees.

Hi,
I come from Philadelphia...I usually get lost, but the trip is definitely worth the effort. Being greeted at the door as soon as I come in, the helpful advice, the laughter because I am somewhat color blind and the overall feeling of wellness are the bonuses I relish. Whether I am buying yarn or beads, the crafting technician is right on target with a wealth of knowledge. It's a pity that you aren't located in Philadelphia...I would probably move in and make myself a royal pain by being in the store practically 24/7. Good wishes for a successful 2014!

I worked at Jubili Beads & Yarns starting the year of 2005 until the year of 2011. During that time I have seen Jubili advance into something much greater than an average retail store. The owner Dr. Judy Weinstein, is an innovator; a creative and a strategic thinker who exemplifies how to run a successful business. Jubiliation Creations is by far the best source for people of special needs with varying age groups and abilities. The staff provides individual attention, along with support and commitment towards each student. The projects that each student creates varies from capabilities to interest. The staff's project planning consists of new creative projects, along with ideas from the students. Seeing the progression of students' capabilities and interests has been life changing. For example, someone who might not have had an interest in knitting turns into an extraordinary knitter who can knit hats, scarves, and vests. Seeing the beautiful pieces of work that the students have created makes not only the instructors proud, but also the students.
I started going to Jubili in 2006 for flameworking , glass bead classes. I have become a bit of a regular. During that time I have watched Judy grow the Jubilation Creations program from a handful of students and participants to a well received, well run program that is accessible to so many people. What I enjoy is seeing the Jubilation Creations handiwork, and students while I am at Jubili for my own interests. The atmosphere created by the diversity of people in the Jubili space ( flameworkers, beaders, families, couples, friends, birthday parties, knitters, Jubilation Creation participants)at the same time is in a word, wonderful. We all get the chance to create art in one space.
We love Jubilation Creations! Every week another new adventure in crafts, from beading necklaces to collages to beautifully designed works of art. And yoga classes are great! Always an adventure at Jubilation Creations. The staff help in every way. A wonderful way to spend a Wednesday afternoon.

Jubilation Creations in Collingswood, NJ is a wonderful center where special needs individuals can experience the joy of artistic expression. My son works with caring staff who instruct him on how to create a variety of crafts. Each week he chooses a new type of craft to work on, from beautifully painted picture frames to painted dishes with seasonal motifs. After his hour-long craft class, he begins a full session of yoga with others, which helps him get in touch with his body by stretching and holding various poses. We love visiting each week to the friendly staff who show great care and respect to each participant. The social interaction alone is worth the visit! We look forward to our Wednesday afternoons at Jubilation Creations.
My daughter, who is PDD-NOS, and has anxiety issues, enjoyed a wonderful music therapy class at Jubilations Creations. The class was comfortable for her, and not only was it fun and a good OT therapy, it also gave her some valuable social skills training. The teacher was motivated and knowledgeable on how to communicate effectively with the class population, which was all levels of disabilty, and the director of the program was warm and friendly. If we didn't move out of the area, I would be continuing to take my daughter to the center.
I've been a customer of Jubilation Creations for several years now, and was happy to notice one day that Judy Weinstein had begun a program of teaching crafts to people with disabilities. Judy is a medical doctor who gave up her practice due to a debilitating illness. Upon recovering, she opened her store, but never left her role as one who serve's the best interest of others. With the store as headquarters, Dr. Judy has expanded her offerings to help others who face physical and mental challenges. It is a new form of medicine-- one that addresses the spiritual and emotional well being of her clients, but it is a beautiful healing service. The offerings expanded from crafts to yoga, meditation, drum circles, and more. There is always something happening at Jubilation Creations that is helping others to maximize their potential, their joy, and their peace in life. Dr. Judy Weinstein is truly serving her community with her brilliant, inspired, generous offerings.
Jubilations Creations was my first store to learn how to make jewelry. The staff is wonderful, caring and very structured to help make you THE BEST YOU CAN BE! I have taken may classes there since then and can not express what a wonderful group of teachers Judy has been able to provide for all. I would recommend Jubilations to everyone because in the long run our support helps Judy and her team provide a safe place for all to flourish and learn!
I am the Program Coordinator at Jubilation Creations, I've only been working there for a month, but I can already tell it is a magical place. Our consumers spend time working on arts and crafts, yoga, and have the opportunity to socialize with each other as well as the fabulous staff. Through arts and crafts, one of the oldest and most practical forms of art, consumers learn how to make themselves hats, scarves, rugs, jewelry, handbags and many other items. They also learn how to improve their manual and social skills as they work in groups, each with a one-on-one teacher. We also know how to have a fun time working together!
What goes on here is amazing. Dr. Weinstein and her staff have created a safe, joyful space for folks with disabilities to succeed. They feel useful and creative. There's always been a strong work ethic in this organization's plan -- people feel useful by doing things, having goals and expectations. There is no sense of a job being too small or insignificant even for the very handicapped among them. When I stopped by unannounced it pleased me so to see such industry and good cheer among all present. The staff is helpful and positive to all. One of the finest features of this staff's experience is the insistence that they keep on learning how to better serve this populations. Classes at local colleges and hospitals are encouraged for all staff professional development.
I am the parent of 3 handicapped children. Two of them attend Jubilation Creations. I am not able to adequately explain the benefits this program has for my daughters. There are so many parts of it that enable them to be creative, interesting and have something to share with so many others that they could not do before. The staff are all terrific and they speak of them like they are their best friends.
Most of all this program has made them happier. They have something important to do and somewhere fun to go. They are in a safe environment and I don't have to worry what is happening while they are there. I know they are participating and not just sitting watching or doing nothing.
The contact from the staff with me, is also personal and friendly.
This is a wonderful program that I would recommend to anyone!
The staff is one of a kind and actually takes the time to make everyone involved there very loved and welcomed. It's amazing how the small time they may spend with someone truly affects an individual in a positive manner.
Being recently diagnosed with an unpleasant condition, I read an article (which I quickly learned was understated in my opinion) in a magazine about Jubili Creations. That was my beginning with JC which has lead to a life changing experience. The display of patience when I have to be taught the same thing over and over, the compassion shown by each and every staff member, that certain way they have to make each person in this program feel so special, how upbeat and positive every staff member is, and more. In less than 6 months, I have a new found confidence with myself that I had lost since my diagnose, I feel cared about even though I have some physical problems, I feel my creative side just dances alive from their guidance and I feel like any person should, competent, happy, grounded and I know that people do care about me. Hats off to all of those involved with Jubili Creation.
I own an operate a regional woman's magazine and have had the pleasure of having a tour by Judy Weinstein of her store. A major part of the tour was a discussion about Jubiliations Creations and all that she does for her constituents. From crafting to yoga and everything in between, Judy is a talented and dedicated woman who shares her creativity and compassion to those in her organization and beyond. I have recommended her to two special needs families because of her authenticity and her mission.
I was there once with my children because I am from out of town. One of my children (8 yo) has ADHD. The staff are helpful, kind and enthusiastic with working with the children as well as the adults. The staff loves their work and it shows..The products are exceptionally beautiful and functional as well. I highly recommend this center to anybody who loves or wants to learn about beading and more.
Jubilation Creations has been a great asset to the people I work for with developmental disabilities. They make beautiful art work that creates enhanced self esteem and pride in what they make. This shop is both an asset to the community and to the people who purchase their classes. Dr. Judy finds out what people are looking for and then provide the classes. Dr. Judy even hires people with disabilities to work in her shop. I will continue to refer people to this business as it provides a healthy, welcoming atmosphere and people have a sense of pride in what they do there.
