Mission: Membership organization of the journalism departments of two-year california community colleges with a mission to exchange ideas and opinions, to develop and maintain effective curricula, to provide enriching educational experiences for members, to render mutual aid, and to develop and maintain a free student press. It is the philosophy of the organization to encourage equal student and faculty participation.
Programs: Conferences and convention - held northern california and southern california conferences to provide students and faculty from members schools a variety of journalism workshops, contests, and meetings. Also held a mid-winter faculty conference providing community college faculty a variety of journalism workshops focusing on the different issues involved in teaching journalism. Finally, also held an annual convention bringing together students and faculty from member schools for speaker, workshops, contests, meetings and more.
