JTF is an amazing organization who has helped so many friends and loved ones. We are so proud of what they do, who they are and how much they are able to help. The love and ability to outpour to our community is phenomenal and as a parent with a special needs child, they are one of our favorite organizations
To say this foundation is a blessing is an UNDERSTATEMENT!! JTF has been there for our family on more than one occasion! They have truly been a blessing to my 6 yr old son who was born Spina Bifida and has limited mobility. Unfortunately we fall through the financial cracks and are unable to receive any type of assistance. JTF blessed him with the orthotics he needed for therapy, as well as his new wheelchair. These types of necessities when paying out of pocket are an outrageous amount of money, we could not have done it without them. We are truly grateful for JTF and they’re amazing staff!!
My sister has had a wheelchair since she was a baby. The last time her wheelchair was updated was when she was 13! She is 34 and we have fought so hard to get her a new chair! We finally received one this year and we were able to donate her old one to the Joseph Thomas foundation. My son ended up in a wheelchair and thanks to Joseph Thomas we were able to get a chair on loaner till insurance figured out what they were doing.
This foundation has grown so much. I love their stories of how the medical equipment they’ve supplied has helped handicapped children with mobility AND self esteem.
JTF is an awesome organization helping individuals with disabilities secure the supplies they need to have improved quality of life!

JTF has been an amazing help to us. My daughter needed a new electric wheelchair as she had outgrown hers and was no longer able to fit in it. We were battling insurance for authorization for a year and a half. JTF was able to get us a chair to use while we continued to appeal to insurance to get what she needed to maintain her independence.
I am a team member of the Moms of Abilene community. I have a vast knowledge of our local community resources and pride myself on sharing information about these resources with those in need. When I see a parent in need of help and I think JTF is the right fit, I recommend JTF. The JTF team is always so quick to jump in and help as much as they can. They are such an important part of our Abilene community.
JTF said YES when everyone else said no. They were on our side from the first time we spoke and have made a monumental difference in our lives.
I will continue to support JTF with financial giving because they give willingly to the most vulnerable community.

The story that upset me the most was when a child was denied the wheelchair they needed by medicaid because they were considered terminal. We are all terminal and none of us know how long we have. JTF got them the wheelchair and their life was better because of it. I served on their Board of Directors.
My niece was in need of a larger powered wheelchair. JTF came to the rescue by providing a used chair from one of their closets. Their invaluable help brightened my niece’s day and gave her the independence to navigate the difficulties of life relegated to those dependent on mobility assistance. Thank you JTF for being there for her and her family. God bless you all!
JTF is incredible. They helped my daughter get a standing frame at no cost to our family; this piece of equipment would have been debilitating to our finances. They have an amazing staff/board and an incredible mission.
JTF is a wonderful organization. They help met the medical needs of children. We love JTF and all the help they have given us and others that we know.
JTF is so near to my heart. They have so much to offer so many families and if they don’t have it, their staff always finds a way to get it. Navigating some of the medical needs children have can be so scary and even sometimes really discouraging. Know that when JTF serves you, you have an advocate for life and that’s how they continuously make a difference!
Helped me out for free when I was using a recalled CPAP machine and I couldn't get it replaced. Good people with a great mission.
I first found the Joseph Thomas Foundation & learned of their benefits at a local school backpack drive. We picked up numerous pamphlet from organizations that would benefit my newly disabled son. While trying to find medical equipment to support my son's needs, I would quickly learned how hard it to actually get my hands on these items. The Joseph Thomas Foundation made it easy for me. They got Val his bedding supplies, a wheelchair and other incontinence items. They were a blessing and helped more than they could imagine.
Joseph Thomas Foundation is doing their best to help as many people as possible. I love the work they do and their events for families!
This is a fantastic non-profit in Abilene! My family has been helped by their closet program. My husband needed a new CPAP machine and they were able to provide him with one at no cost to us! What a blessing! Thank you JTF.
As Joseph’s grandmother, I’m fortunate to have been a founding member, an officer and currently serve on the board for the JTF. I’m blessed every time we are able to assist someone. Our stories bless hearts and change lives. Please think about a donation this season of giving. The children we help, and their families, thank all our generous donors, volunteers and friends. Even Joseph’s great grandparents, in their 80s, actively volunteer. Picture attached.

JTF is serving the needs of many people with disabilities. The area they serve is very large and they do a great job providing assistance. I feel JTF needs to get the word out as to what services they offer in areas they serve. Cities with closets need to let more people know they are available. More people either paid or volunteers would help a lot!

JTF is going above and beyond helping others! If they don't have what a family needs they reach out to others to try and help that family! They have expanded drastically this year and are meeting the needs of hundreds of families in Texas now!

They are amazing I have seen first hand how hard they work to get these families the things they need. I've seen how much they care as far as working late hours just to get one more family taken care of or doing events late at night and still planning for the next day I've never seen anyone work harder to help families than JTF they are a blessing to all

This non profit helps provide much needed medical equipment to those that need it most. They really go above and beyond to get people equipment they desperately need. During this time of pandemic, so many more people are in need of help.

I have a daughter that has down syndrome and GI issues. Her special formula cost over $50 a can. JTF helps when I am in a tight spot and need some before I get paid.

JTF is amazing at helping getting urgent medical supplies to a family in need. Often the family can't afford the item, fights insurance, etc. They have a giant heart for helping kids in need. We would love to see JTF expand further across Texas with more closets for donation drop off and pick up ease for large and heavy items.
