Causes: Education, Parent & Teacher Groups
Mission: The mission of the california state pta is to positively impact the lives of all children and families by representing our members, and empowering and supporting them with skills in advocacy, leadership and communications.
Programs: The pta's annual bookfari was conducted. The book fair inspires the students to add to their education an additional reading component to further promote reading skills such as focus and comprehension. Through reading the children develop creativity that they can bring to their other subjects.
the pta's field trips allow the students to expand thier knowledge beyond the school gates, investigate other organizational activities, gain new skill sets by visiting others and integrate these new skills into their educational activities.
the annual carnival encourages the students, parents and teachers to participate in creative and fun activities while at the same time inviting the community to participate and support the students, parents and teachers.
special item sales of shirts, pens, pencils, community discount cards and food projects such as snackbars, allow the students to develop entrepreneurial skills themselves while working in a spirit of cooperation with other student, teachers and parents.
