Volunteering with JMMF has been so personally gratifying. It helps my heart soar cheering on the athletes. I adore Kris Primacio. Her positive outlook and energy is infectious. I'm lucky to be able to share my time with amazing people doing wonderful surf therapy work in our community, especially with our military personnel and veterans.

Simply an amazing program! Not only does the foundation help wounded Marines and veterans recover from injuries, it also helps bridge the gap between service members and civilians.

I've watched the JMMF from the sidelines for a few years and finally got involved this summer. This group is one of the amazing ones out there. In the memory of lifeguard, surfer, and surf instructor, Jimmy Miller, the JMMF has made it's mission to share the joys of the ocean with those who were previously unable to do so. Whether is injured US soldiers or less privileged children, this group puts smiles on the faces of those it targets and the volunteers who help. Volunteering this summer made me realize that making someone's day is a lot easier than you think, including my own! This group is one to put on your list!
