The Jewish Women's Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches has awarded grants to nonprofits who do not tailor their programs for people with autism and other special needs despite the US CDC estimate of 1 in 59 children being on the autism spectrum, and one of these grantees includes Futures Without Violence who says that autism tailoring of their programs is not a focus area.
Since some people with autism may disagree with certain messages in such programs, such tailoring can make these programs even more effective by catering for a special audience and can even enhance autism awareness.
