Programs: Child, adult family and special needs services: jssa provides a broad range of counseling, care management and support services for children, teens, adults, individuals and families facing challenges and coping with mental health issues and special needs. Jssa's expert team of social workers, care managers, psychologists, and psychiatrists identify underlying learning, emotional or psychological issues, address needs and determine the most appropriate course of care. Services can include individual, group, couple, or family therapy, care coordination and ongoing assessment, and treatment and intervention through a full range of therapeutic and support options. Jssa offers psychiatric evaluations and medication management as well as neuropsychological, psychological and psycho-educational testing. Jssa also provides cutting edge mental health and care management services and support for children, adults and families on the autism spectrum. Last year, jssa served and supported 8,698 children, teens, adults and families, and provided services and support to 4,988 individuals with special needs, their families and professionals. Jssa also served 2,000 individuals through jssa growth and learning programs (workshops, support groups, consultations, and trainings). In addition, jssa provides a wide range of specialized employment services for 1,005 adults with special needs including: individualized career assessments, job readiness, job development and placement, job coaching and job retention.
hospice and end-of-life support services: for more than 30 years jssa hospice has been supporting dignity and comfort at end-of- life for individuals of all faiths and providing peace of mind to their families and loved ones. Jssa hospice's exceptional care is rooted in a commitment to provide the highest quality and most accessible and supportive personalized care - from symptom and pain management to emotional and spiritual guidance for patients and their families - wherever they call home. Jssa hospice care is based on a collaborative, interdisciplinary team approach that includes highly skilled nurses, social workers, home care aides, chaplains, physicians, and volunteers. Last year, jssa hospice provided care and support for 3,208 patients and their family members as well as many hours of respite care for seriously ill patients and their families through the transitions program.
senior and holocaust survivor services: as even the most active adults age, maintaining independence and dignity can become more difficult. Jssa's many senior services provide help and assistance to allow seniors to remain independent and in their own homes longer. Our skilled professionals and trained volunteers bring warmth, companionship and convenience into the daily lives of seniors and provide assistance to families to help ensure that their parents or loved ones are safe and well cared for. This past year jssa's expert staff and trained volunteers served and supported more than 7,502 seniors and their families through comprehensive in-home and in-office assessments; information and referral; individual, family and group counseling; caregiver consultations; workshops and support groups; service coordination and care management; and other essential support services including: nursing assessments, home delivered meals, in-home personal care and homemaker services, friendly visitors and shoppers, escorted transportation, legal services, social/recreational opportunities, and visits to nursing homes and other senior living residences.
