This is an organization on the move. The Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg is also the umbrella organization for the Jewish Community Center (JCC) - open to all, regardless of faith/religion, gender, age, etc. All of this is going to get more exciting on the new Alexander Grass Campus for Jewish Life, the new central campus for Jewish Harrisburg owned by the Federation. It's symbolic of a decades-old mainstay institution reinventing itself to ensure that it will remain vibrant and relevant in pursuit of its mission for generations to come.

Mission: Ensure that the jewish community of greater harrisburg flourishes by serving as its central unifying communal organization, and by strengthening the bonds within our community and with israel and jews around the world.

Geographic areas served: the Greater Harrisburg area
Programs: The Brenner Family Early Learning Center provides care to infants through pre- kindergarten and is Keystone Four STARS as is our After Care program. The sports, fitness and recreation department provides overall management of all fitness facilities and equipment. It also organizes and supervises all programming including fitness classes, RockSteady Boxing, Girls on the Run, leagues and the Maccabi games. A multitude of social and educational programs are offered to members and nonmembers. The programs range from aftercare for school children to a kosher nutrition and social program for seniors. The programs seek to meet the social, cultural and educational needs of the entire community. A JCC summer camp program is held each year for school age children. A variety of activities is planned each year for each age group to provide campers with an exciting outdoor experience. The green hills facility is located 10 minutes from the JCC and is open throughout the summer months. The facility includes a swimming pool, various sports fields and picnic grounds. Community review is a biweekly paper that covers issues of concern and interest to members of the Jewish community.
