Mission: The mission of Jewish Community Services of South Florida is to improve the quality of life and self-sufficiency of the Jewish and broader communities throughout South Florida. JCS started in 1920 and we have provided 100 years of care, compassion and community and will continue to do so.
Programs: Behavioral Health Services: JCS’ Behavioral Health Services has resources to support children, adolescents, adults and seniors of all religions and backgrounds. We provide counseling services, domestic abuse prevention (Shalom Bayit), DUI therapy groups, family counseling services, prevention and intervention services. Food and Nutrition: To meet the growing demand for food, JCS maintains meal sites at five dining facilities throughout Miami, the Kosher Food Bank provides food to adults, families and Holocaust survivors as well as a meal delivery service for homebound seniors. Youth and Family: We provide counseling services, LGBT family and group programs, safety program and Youth Academic Support Services (YASS) and mental health and intervention services. JCS Helpline Services: Our 211 Miami helpline services is available 24/7 - a source for information and resources for all health and human services in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. This is a free service that is available in any language. Adult Services: JCS provides Adult day training for developmentally disabled, counseling services, Case Management, JCS clean sweep and a disaster case management program.
