I had a horrible experience. They kept changing the protocol. After I did all my paperwork and had a zoom call, they didn’t call me back for approximately six weeks and then they requested more information. He was extremely ignorant and questioned my Judaism and my rabbi because the letter was in a different state. I was taking care of my sick mother because my father had just died. She had a stroke and a heart attack. I was taking care of her in her city. That’s why I wasn’t in the same city! They work part time, never answer calls and are completely unprofessional. There’s got to be a different way to get to Israel.

In 2006 I made aliyah and was inspired by the aliyah shaliach, who was the Jewish Agency head of their North American delegation. What a huge disappointment to hear that Michael Landsberg was a hypocrite and stayed in America. This is not the only example of Jewish Agency shlichim who stayed in the countries that they were sent to. The Jewish Agency does not realize what damage it does to itself and the State of Israel by sending people to live overseas for extended periods.

A great organization! The leading group focusing on Aliyah (Bringing a substantial number of Jews to live in Israel and ensuring their successful integration); Jewish-Zionist Education (Connecting the next generation with Israel and Jewish peoplehood as a core part of Jewish identity); and Partnerships with Israel (Involving world Jewry with Israelis in shaping the future character of Israeli society).
