This charity supports the men and women who have pledged to a life of renunciation and poverty. Most are not allowed to handle money and personal possession are a couple of changes of cloths, toothbrush, toiletries, and little or nothing else. It supports primarily the Temple forest monastery (https://forestmonastery.org) where anyone (outside of covid) can visit and stay for free so long as you spend your days living the same austere lifestyle of rising early, last meal before noon, no music, entertainment, intoxicants, adornments, and kindness to all. It is a Theravada forest monastery when the monks live in isolation on the surrounding hills. Three months a year Jan, Feb, Mar - they spend all their time alone in meditation. I've never met kinder folks and having tried living that lifestyle it is not easy. Vegetarian food donations are appreciated, there is a "dana" (gift) listings on their webpage.
