JHP is one of the best non-profits I have encountered during my time in the service! As military members a lot of us are gym rats and the protein bars and mixes supplied via this generous care packages is not only a morale booster but helps to improve ourselves. I wish there were more organizations such as JHP. Their customer service is superior with incredibly quick response times. I will be recommending this to my friends and fellow military members.
Thank you for your support and Happy Holidays!
JHP is by far the best non profit for our troop's. Sending protein mixes and protein bars helps these guys stay fit. They experience so much weight loss that her items help them not just mentally but physically. Her reason for starting this non profit is heartwarming, and so is she. I am proud to have been able to work an event with her and proud to know her. My son has received packages from her for 2 tours now and he LOVES them. Her support to all the service men and women goes above and beyond. Thank you Jessica, you are the bomb!!
JHP is one of the best non profits of today. There are many organizations the donate and send packages to our troops around the world, the exception of JHP is that Miss Jessica is personally involved as a founder and a donor of each and every box that is shipped. Her hands have touched every box that has touched so many of our service members, my husband being one of them. JHP has gone way beyond the call of duty when troops are away and when they come home. Thank you Jessica and the entire JHP volunteer staff for all you do.
I met Jessica by chance back in January 2011 at a mutual friends wake services. I was so moved by the her commitment to the military and her need to help. I stalked her on Facebook for a little while then got in contact with her and she told me her story and how she got started. I am moved by the packages that she and her crew of several selfless people and groups have sent to our hundreds of troops that she has sent care packages to, including my husband CM1 Carl A. Cates while he was out of the country. When he returned home, Jessica was the first person besides immediate family to call and welcome him home. Jessica also made sure he had an awesome meal of Sushi that he hadn't had in several months, using her also funded project called "Bam Bam's Fiest", named after a spectacular Navy Seabee who is no longer with us. Jessica and the Hope Project is the most outgoing and deserving of 5 star reviews that I can think of. Thank you Jessica and your team, you are all winners in my book:)
Jessica's Hope Project is simply amazing. My family has been in contact with Jessica and the organization since 2010 when they began supporting my husband and his unit through their care packages while he was deployed. They stepped up to the plate again on his following deployment and I can honestly say that we feel like we have a real connection with Jessica even though we've never had the chance to meet her in person. I would love to someday be able to thank the volunteers of Jessica's Hope Project in person. What they're doing is amazing. Not only do they improve troop morale and physical welfare but they improve the morale of the families missing their service members. I can't describe how amazing it was to learn someone in another state who we had never met was regularly mailing care packages and messages to my husband and his guys. Jessica's Hope Project is a shining example of what it's all about, doing good deeds for complete strangers and providing support for those who need it most.
An absolutely incredible organization! Jessica's Hope Project provides TRUE HOPE for both service members and their families back home! As I was looking for protein bars to stuff into my own care package to send my soldier at the 24 Hour Fitness I attend in Altadena, I met Jessica, and she introduced me to her amazing organization. Currently, my boyfriend is serving overseas in Afghanistan as a soldier in the US Army. So far, his team has endured distressing living conditions and little access to quality food. His team received their first package from JHP, and we're so thrilled. I cannot tell you how crucial the work JHP does, is. It should be every American's duty to ensure our men and women in uniform are kept healthy and provided all their needs while they are overseas, for they have their lives on the line for each and every one of us. Unfortunately, this is not the case, but thanks to Jessica's Hope Project, a world of a difference is being made. I'm about to participate as a volunteer in my first packing event with JHP and could not be more excited! Thank you so much!
I have volunteered for this organization and have loved every moment. I have done packing events, fair booths and promoted it as much as I can. I love the enthusiasm it gives out. The packing events are the best. The energy is buzzing as people want to make their box the best. It's exciting to watch the emotion and pride this type of event bring out in people.
The thank you notes are the most gratifying, the fact that someone actually liked it enough to be greatful is nice. They actually are so greatful that they receive nutrional items which they some times cannot get. The fact that we reach people that may perhaps never receive anything is priceless.
This is a wonderful, caring and thoughtful organization. I have learned a lot of information about what our service people go through. We continute to touch lives of our men and women overseas - one box at a time.
I HAVE BOTH VOLUNTEERED AND DONATED TO THIS AWESOME ORGANIZATION. I AM THE MOTHER OF THE WONDERFUL JESSICA MADDIN. THIS HAS TRULY BEEN AN ADVENTURE AND THROUGH THIS I HAVE MET AWESOME PEOPLE. I HAVE MET SOME OF OUR MILITARY, HELPED WITH SISTER ORGANIZATIONS. I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH OF THING DEALING WITH OUR MILITARY. SHE IS NOW EVEN ASSOCIATED WITH OUR LOCAL SHERIFF DEPARTMENT. I AM VERY PROUD OF HER AND WISH HER WELL IN CONTINUING THIS WONDERUL PROJECT. CONGRATS ON SENDING OUT 1000 BOXES. MOMMY LOVES YOU
jessica's hope project is a wonderful charity, spearheaded by one of the most thoughtful and caring people i know. Jessica's objective is to provide as many care package (with nutrient rich contents) to our service men and women over seas as possible.
I have personally enjoyed partnering with Jessica; providing funds and resources in various ways. I have also had experiences meeting with recipients of these care packages. Our troops appreciate it more than you can imagine. While on tour, away from family and loved ones, these simple packages make a HUGE difference.
It was great to receive care packages from Jessica's Hope Project. The letters from home and the items received were great. I continue to keep up with the project through Facebook. I tell people often about Jessica's Hope Project!!
I have been working with Jessica' Hope for the last 3 years. Our students always enjoy writing to our troops and supporting them. Jessica does an excellent job coordinating packages to the troops with our letters inside! We also helped at Christmas with special packages for soldiers by adopting these men and women. It was a blessing to participate. Wonderful non profit with a truly needed purpose.
I have been working with Jessica's Hope Project for 2 years now! What a wonder program this is. Our school Pinnacle Canyon Academy in Price Utah adopted Jessica's Hope Project this year as our community of caring project. We had a wonderful time helping all the students k-12 write letters to our troops for Jessica's group to include in the wonderful boxes that see sends out. We also held a fundraiser to help pay for the postage on 55 boxes! .... What a pleasure it was to be part of such an awesome project. We even received a Flag from the Marines! That was flown in Afghanistan! How exciting it was to be part of the surprise to our school students and staff to have a Marine just home from Afghanistan come and help present it to our school. AWESOME and life changing! Jessica's Hope Project is truly a wonderful program and I highly recommend it!
I've known Jessica since she was 14 years old, and she has always been the kind of person to give back to her community without expecting anything in return. When she told me about her non profit and her plans, I knew it would grow into something amazing because of the dedication and devotion she has to doing great things for others. She has helped so many of our troops over sea's to keep fit, stay strong, and remember that there are so many of us back here in the states that love and support them besides their family and friends. The amount of time, effort, and love she puts into this project is inspiring, and there isn't a day that goes by that she hasn't touched someones life and heart because of this non profit. Whether it's $12 donated, products, time, or letters, it's easy to donate and she ensures that our troops get a package filled with love, fitness, and nutrition. Definitely the best non profit I've ever taken part of!
I tell everyone I know about Jessica's Hope Project! When my son was deployed to Iraq, she sent a package over to him and all the guys loved the stuff. What made me like this organization was that Jessica is so personable and said that my son's sister and brother could send some pictures or notes to her and she would send them with the package. It's truly a great thing that they do. I have a bunch of fellow Army moms that have also sent packages to their deployed sons or daughters also and my DIL even had a package sent to her brother also. Not only do the soldiers love the stuff, but it's good for them also. Keep up the good work!!!
Excellent organization that has stuck with the troops through thick and thin. I, and hundreds others, have been supported and encouraged through Jessica's Hope Project for over three years and across two different continents.
Jessica's Hope Project made a huge difference in the lives of our Soldiers. We were deployed to a very remote portion of Afghanistan and the care packages that we received from them gave the Soldiers the extra boost that they needed in their attempt to stay healthy and strong. I am now in Korea and their continued support and shown Soldiers that they are not forgotten not matter how far from home they may be.
Jessica's Hope Project is well run and trustworthy. She works tirelessly on behalf of the military day in and day out and is always searching for new ways to improve her organization and increase the support she sends our troops. As a small, newer non-profit she makes a far greater impact in our community than many others I've seen and she should be commended. Long after others have forgotten the impact a package can make... she remembers!
Jessica Maddin makes a difference. People support our troops by liking "support our troops" posts on Facebook or posting placards on their wall. This is not support. Jessica put together an organization that sends substantial care packages for troops overseas. She sent several to my son when he deployed to Afghanistan. Also, she asked me for the address of my school friend's son so she could send him packages also. All this while finishing college and working for 24 HR Fitness. I cannot give a higher recommendation for Jessica Maddin and her organization, Jessica's Hope Project. I grew up believing in the idea that one person can make a difference. Jessica Maddin proves such is the case.
We service members owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women of Jessica's Hope Project. I just wanted to take a few moments to say thank you "ALL" for taking care of my entire TUAS Platoon and sections of my Company while we served in Iraq from September 2010 to September 2011. This nonprofit organization is truly committed to supporting our service members and strengthening our morale helping each of us to stay focused on our tasks. Our nation requires service members to serve without question to the very best of our abilities. I honestly believe that with the Soldiers I lead and the other service members I have spoken with ... that Jessica's Hope Project is making a difference for service members and setting examples for other organizations to follow. Each citizen who thanks a service member on the street, in an airport or where ever our paths meet thank me and my fellow service members for the missions we have done and currently doing, however they do not see the support of organizations like Jessica's Hope Project that are committed to the honest support and dedication to all of us that help in ways the citizens never saw behind the scenes. This is why I feel it is important to recognize this absolutely "on-track" organization ~Jessica's Hope Project. You all ... LEAD THE WAY!
Jessica's Hope Project was excellent in supporting my Soldiers (Fighting Geese) while deployed to Operation New Dawn - Iraq 2010-2011. He Jessica's Hope Project helped improve Soldier morale and was able to give direct feedback on our facebook page (Fighting Geese) on a daily basis. Jessica would ask what more could she do for us to keep us supported. I think that Jessica's Hope Project has touched my entire unit and I am so proud to have Jessica's Hope Project as a friend and link to my facebook pages and would gladly pass-on that Jessica's Hope Project is really dedicated to helping the Armed Forces and Civilian Contractors that support the Soldiers while they serve their Nation. I want to say Thank You from the Bottom of our Hearts! Helping to keep the U.S. Army ~ Army Strong! Keep up the Great work!
Jessica's Hope Project is filling a great need for our deployed troops... healthy foods and nutritional supplements to better support the incredible physical demands place upon our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen. Moreover, Jessica’s passion and enthusiasm are infectious!
I became acquainted with Jessica's Hope Project a year or two ago through a work contact. I've made donations and helped pack boxes - including more than 70 boxes just last week. Jessica's passion for providing healthy foods to our deployed service people seems to only be matched by the gratitude of the service people who receive boxes from her. I could spend hours reading the letters Jessica has gotten back from all over the world, which she shares on her website. They are inspiring and heart-warming, and clear evidence that Jessica's Hope Project is an effective and important non-profit. Please support Jessica's Hope Project!
What Jessica does it inspiring, amazing, courageous and more importantly thoughtful. She has put her life behind Jessica's Hope Project and made a difference! I was so proud to be part of her packing party that she hosted at 24 Hour Fitness in May. My district team gathered "goodies" for the men/women in uniform over a couple of weeks and we brought it to our packing station. When I walked into the room I was overwhelmed with the energy of everyone in the room; we were ready to support Jessica and the troops! What I love the most about the event is that it's important to Jessica that there is not only protein bars, nuts, protein shakes, etc in each box but there is a special handwritten note to each soldier. She had us write our own notes but she also had collected notes from local school children as well. What a special touch. Thank you Jessica for your relentless and selfless work with Jessica's Hope Project! I was proud to support then and will be proud to support again and again!
I am thankful that Jessica's Hope sent my husband Marcel a care package while he was deployed. It boosted his morale to know that others were thinking of him and supported him. It also gave him the energy he needed to complete his missions.
As a recipient of care packages from Jessica's hope project while I was deployed to Afghanistan, I can personally attest to the impact it has on Marines. People send lots of different things to us in care packages but I always looked forward to Packages from Jessica's hope project. She always sent hard to get items that kept us strong and motivated. Items such as multivitamins, muscle milk and miscellaneous fitness items. It's hard to stay healthy in such an extreme environment, But Jessica's Hope Project made it possible! Her dedication and tireless effort has helped thousands of Marines, Soldiers, Airmen and sailors. Her organization is definitely a great candidate!
I believe that this organization has made a big difference to our service members. I requested a few packages sent to the Sailors I left behind overseas. When they received their packages, they were surprised to see such healthy and nutritional products. Its one of the few things that keeps us going when we are deployed; being able to let out or stress and frustration at the gym. With Jessicas Hope Project, they we're able to keep on track and maintain their healthy conditioning. Thank you JHP, you are truly a great organization! Thank you for your support to me and my fellow Sailors serving overseas. R/BM1 Alfaro, USN
I met Jessica through our mutual love of sending care packages to our troops. Jess is an exceptional young woman who, with lots of hard work and love, created an amazing organization in Jessica's Hope Project. I am honored and blessed to be a small part of it. It's not just about putting stuff in a box and mailing it off... if is soooo much more than that. There's a lot of love and caring that goes into each and every box from the item selection to the letters and cards that are included. I have met many wonderful people along the way and it always brightens my day when I hear from someone who has received a package and what it meant to them. God Bless Jess for all she does for our men and women in uniform!!
I remember how excited and what a morale booster it was for my nephew stationed in Afghanistan to get the protein and letters from Jessica's Hope Project. Jessica's Hope was started by one person, Jessica, by herself, who had a heart for our brave men serving our country. She and her eventual association with the fitness company and the volunteers she has amassed, has changed the lives of many of our young service men.
This organization is really making a difference. Not only do the packages include cheerful letters from the volunteers but the contents of the packages are useful for the lifestyle soldiers live. I am currently deployed and have received a few packages from Jessica's Hope Project. I have been able to share the protein bars and muscle milk with my fellow soldiers in my unit and they love it. Jessica's Hope Project is a great organization, thank you for all you do.
While serving in Iraq/Kuwait, I received several care packages from Jessica's Hope Project for not only myself, but for those in my platoon, as well. Several of these packages contained heartwarming letters, cards, and reputable vitamins/supplements to help Soldiers maintain their nutrition in the rigorous environment. I will also note that my Soldier's Army Physical Fitness scores have improved by 40% and part of that may be from the nutritional supplements provided by this organization to help support their workout routines. The overall satisfaction and gratitude my Soldiers and I feel toward this organization cannot be described in words. This organization and those who donated their time, products, and money to thank American Soldiers should be recognized not only as a great non profit organization, but as a standard bearer for other organizations to follow. Thank You Jessica's Hope Project and all those who contribute to this wonderful organization!
Jessicas Hope Project brought so much joy to my husband and all of his troops while deployed. I contacted her about sending one care package, and she kept his address and continued to send more. Jessica and everyone that helps her do this really are heroes. They are not just sending care packages, they are sending love, kindness, and appreciation, and that sticks with the troops forever. Thank you JHP. -Samantha Perkins
Our Girl Scout troop had the opportunity to help pack boxes that Jessica's Hope Project sends to our deployed military. We found her organization through a mutual friend, and we were/are so grateful to be able to help out. It is a wonderful concept that Jessica has thought of, to send health-oriented items to our military. Our girls are looking forward to another packing event with Jessica's Hope Project later this month.
While volunteering with Jessica's Hope Project I have experienced true compassion, and sincerity when dealing with giving back to our troops. This organization truly is AMAZING!!
Jessica's Hope does wonderful things for our military. We cannot show enough support for the men and women who sacrifice so much for our freedoms here at home. Not only that, but when a group I am involved with needed some help, Jessica stepped in and offered her services. She is truly a very caring and giving person and deserves to win so she can continue her very important mission!
Jessica"s Hope supported my SEABEES in Africa It was an outstanding experience to to share the packages she sent with my troops it brought morale up when we were deployed over the holidays truly The best. Thanks Jessica.
I contacted Jessica to send my husband a box in Afghanistan, and his box arrived today. He and the other men in his troop were very excited about all the wonderful health-minded gifts they received! He declared it "the greatest charity idea ever" and really appreciated that someone came up with the idea to send them these products that they really need to maintain their health while deployed. Such a wonderful organization!
Jessica's Hope Project is amazing! My son received his package and she even offered to throw in a note from me along with the package. Our troops need the items that she sends over to them to help keep them healthy and fit. My son received his package and was very happy with it! I have told many of my Army mom friends about Jessica's Hope also and they think it's great also!
I learned of this organization while the owner was promoting at a Military Spouse event. She really makes such a difference in the lives of those serving our country. These care packages mean more than most of us will ever know the value of. She has sent packages out to my husbands unit and the contents exceeded anyone's expectations and really touched the hearts of the men in 3/7 USMC.
As a Marine on his second deployment I can tell you for a fact there are only a handful of things to do that are actually entertaining over here. One of those things for myself is working out. When I first heard of this charity I honestly thought it was to good to be true. When I got my first set of packages my buddies and I were about as happy as could be! This project is a big morale booster and a huge help to deployed Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and Airmen around the world who don't always have access to the quality supplements and other gifts given by Jessica. I owe her a lot and even when I am no longer deployed will definitely continue to give to Jessica and her Hope, she is a great person and this is an amazing project.
I am a founder of a charity that supports the troops, and a mother 2 sons in the service. I have dealt with miss Jessica a few times ---((the military is a very small world)) I know this sweet woman does some GREAT things for our deployed troops, and she does it all volunteer ( which I think is my favorite thing) When I see someone or a group who does this from their heart !! I highly recommend this NPO winning this grant !!! GO JESSICA'S HOPE you have the support from Mollys Adopt A Sailor/ Adopt A Marine, and Special Hugs-combat support hospitals
Running Jessica's Hope Project has been the most rewarding experience of my life. I truly feel that I am making a difference in the lives of our deployed military and their families.
This charity's role is to make sure than no American who serves abroad ever feels alone or that no one cares. So much thought goes into each package! This organization turns the words "support our troops" into actions that directly benefit those who serve us.
I remember when I got an email telling me about Jessica's Hope Project and thought it sounded too good to be true. My husband, Spc Jeremiah Bostic, was one of the first people who received one of her boxes. She allowed me to send her a letter to put in the box. My husband said he was surprised to find a letter from me in the box, which it made it that much more personal. Him and the men in his group greatly appreciated the boxes. Organizations like Jessica's Hope Project make me proud to be an Army Wife and to be an American. Jessica is very personable and stays in contact with you even after the contact comes home. She supported my husband throughout the entire year he was deployed and even said congrats when we got married just 13 days after he got back. She takes a burden off of loved ones, because we know our men/women are being taken care of and receiving high quality packages. I can't wait to see this program continue to grow.
Jessica's Hope Project has given nothing but great support and motivation to our men/women in the military including my husband Cpl Lugo who is on his second tour in Afghanistan. The dedication to bring smiles, joy and the sense of hope to our service member is always a success. I've seen this through photos of our military with big smiles on their faces and letters personally written with thank yous that are posted on Jessica's Hope Project site. This organization has had such a huge impact on our family. Having my husband deployed for the second time is not easy but like the first time, Jessica's Hope Project has shown the love and support to my husband as well as to his family. To know that someone out there cares like that about our family is increadible. It gives my husband and our family hope that everything will be ok and that soon we will be together again and for that we thank and appreciate greatly Jessica's Hope Project.
I was introduced to Jessica's Hope Project under very unfortanate circumstances. My friend Courtney Bombardo was one of her contacts when we were deployed to afghanistan in 2010. Shortly after our return home Courtney was in a fatal motorcycle accident. Jessica attended her funeral and spread the word about JHP. Jessica has started BAM BAMS FEAST in honor of Courtney. I am currently deployed to Africa and recieved a package from JHP. We dont get mail call out here very often but when we do it lifts our spirits and makes the day go by a little easier. Being away from our families and friends are really difficult but recieving one of her packages makes it seem like a little piece of home is out here with us. JHP is a great foundation and I have spread the word from California to Virginia about what great things they are doing for all of us away from our families.
Jessica's Hope Project was generous enough to help our group of adopted medics serving in Afghanistan. Her hard work was crucial in increasing the moral of the medics - the donated fitness supplies allow these military personal to stay in shape even when so far from home.
I first learned of this project while working at 24 Hour Fitness. Our HR department requested that employees bring Christmas cards to be sent to the troops via care package. Last year, I bought 100 cards and had my coworkers each sign them. Fast forward 10 months and I just recently recieved confirmation that my boyfriend (whom I met while working at 24 Hour Fitness), is deployed with Kilo Battery 3rd Batallion 11th Marines, will be getting a fitness care package soon. I am so happy that he will be getting the products that he uses while in the states as to not veer away from his fitness goals. Beyond that, I am forever grateful that a little bit of deployment stress has been lifted from my shoulders due to not being able to financially afford such amazing fitness products. Thank you so much to anyone and everyone involved!
I have 2 friends overseas in Iraq and Afganistan. Jessica was kind enough to send a care package to each of them. It means the world for our servicemen/women to recieve these packages. Jessica's Hope Project is one of the most amazing volunteer organizations I've seen.
My fiance is deployed with Kilo Battery 3rd Batallion 11th Marines. Jessica was so helpful when I contacted her, she sent a carepackage for his birthday that contained some of the comforts of home as well as a fitness/wellness carepackage. Alot of the items she gets are donated and things that I would not otherwise be able to afford to send to him. I know that these items will bring a smile to the marines' faces that he serves with. I can't wait until I'm out of college and have more financial means to support her cause.
