Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers rescued our girl from a bad situation in another state. She was treated an extremely bad flea infestation, as well as was quite malnourished. Kim Morgan worked with us to delay the transport from where Harley (our new name for her) was coming from so we could ensure our home was ready for her arrival. Kim coordinated foster care for Harley for two weeks (going above and beyond for us) before having her transported to IL. My only complaint (not by any fault of Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers) was that the vet who was used to perform Harley's examination prior to the adoption missed a couple minor things that were caught by our vet. A week of medicine and the problem was solved. Kim and her team saved our girl from a rough life and gave us an absolutely AWESOME German Shepherd. We could not be happier with how things turned out and with our family addition of Harley!
We adopted Lewis, a little yorkiepoo, and we are in love!
He is so sweet and loving, and well behaved.
We are so happy we adopted him from Jellystone.❤️
I tried uploading a photo of our adorable little guy. But it won’t let me.
we rescued a one year and a half female boxer that had Been a stray in Kentucky. Kim and the people at Jellystone took care of numerous physical issue she had, and worked closely with us to facilitate our adoption, which included delays due to her need to be spayed. Kim did a great job helping us bring this wonderful dog into our family
We adopted our sweet girl, Skylar, with Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers.
From start to finish they were helpful, kind and prompt to work with.
We are so very grateful for the work they do. Our Skylar was rescued from being surrendered at a breeding mill and luckily found her way home to us!
It has been an absolute joy to watch Sky blossom in her “fur-ever” home with us and we have Jellystone Barks to thank!
They sold me a filthy dog who turned out to have parvo. This rescue is the worst I have encountered. The president is a terrible person.

Unfortunately, the puppy who was adopted from JBRR was only old enough for 1 set of vaccinations which the owner was instructed to continue her full quarantine until all 3 booster shots had been completed. The puppy had defecated in her crate while awaiting her adoption appointment and had gotten a very small amount of feces in her hair. This owner took the puppy to a compromised location the day of adoption in which case she came in contact with parvovirus. The owner blamed the rescue who had the puppy and its littermates in quarantine for 2 weeks prior to adoption. None of the litter was ill nor came into contact with parvo while in the rescues care. Had the owner followed the specific instructions this puppy would have never gotten ill. This was a complete case of negligence on the owner's part. The owner relinquished the puppy back to the rescue because he did not want to cover medical costs which the rescue did take the puppy back and complete the required medical care.
I have rescued a dog from Jellystone previously. I have since also adopted other dogs and there's no comparison. They listened to what my need are and responded honestly and efficiently.
Burt my first dog was the most wonderful poodle ever. I miss him very much. I just adopted Mandoo, another miniature poodle. What a beauty. Thank you Jellystone for caring for your animals with such integrity and care. The Best Rescue EVER!!!!
After 18 months of losing our beloved Zoey, we opened our hearts and home to consider adopting again. Jellystone was highly recommended to us by our next door neighbor. We couldn’t believe it took us only 3 days from the time we inquired to meeting Ash (formerly Shamrock) and taking him home that day. Turnaround was quick and easy. Kim and her team manage process pretty well. This rescue has so many wonderful dogs that need home. We’re so grateful that he’s healthy overall per vet. We are happy to find Ash. It’s as if he chose us. Highly highly recommend this rescue.
We were looking for a female Rottie pup to rescue for a long time. Thank you Kim from Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers for your help in finding her you went above and beyond She is a perfect fit for our family
Amazing experience in every way. Great communication- they always responded quickly and addressed every question I had. I appreciated that they shared many pictures online in the posting as well. We met at a veterinary location, which I appreciated. My dog was clearly well-cared for and healthy. I recommend Jellystone Barks highly!
I'd been searching for a pup at least a year old to join our family and found Enjoying Life (now named Eddie) listed on one of the pet locator sites. What differentiated Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers NFP from other pet rescue organizations? 1) Hours of operation and very fast response time to my inquiry 2) Very clear, easy-to-complete application simply set up 3) Very precise, easy location to meet & greet my new dog 4) Straight forward personal interac to complete the transfer of ownership. I am so grateful that Kim Morgan of JBBR has so much experience and works so very hard to help homeless dogs and those of us looking for dogs.
We just adopted a second puppy from JBRR. Again, a very smooth easy professional process! Every email was addressed immediately, every question and concern answered thoroughly and thoughtfully. We very much appreciated the time and attention we were given with both adoptions, knowing very well how valuable and stretched their time is. Much thanks to the selfless volunteers who run this organization.

Yesterday we found the love of our lives. A beautiful tiny Mini Poodle girl named Rubicon. Thank you so much for your love and support.
Jellystone Barks Rescue is a wonderful organization, Kim was awesome! The entire process was so easy and handled with such care to make sure that fur baby was in good hands. Even after adoption Kim has been available to me and my family to answer whatever questions we may have. I would recommend Jellystone Barks Rescue to all looking to adopt. I and my family can't thank the organization enough for our new fur baby addition to the family.

My life had a void for several years after losing my husband. Wanting to make a rational decision I waited until I was confident that getting a pet was the right choice. Finding my wonderful companion through the Rangers was a great experience they were understanding of my situation and did everything possible to make the process go smoothly. Their animals are well cared for and healthy. Now I have a wonderful dog who goes almost every where with me. She is a very committed companion who brightens up every moment of every day.
One night my husband and I were looking for dogs on rescue sites when we came across a cute little female puppy on Jellystone Barks website. I emailed the rescue thinking she was no longer available. I received a response so quickly and she was still available. I was able to complete my application that same day and we were able to meet her the very next morning. Long story short we adopted her. I can’t say enough how wonderful it was to work with Kim Morgan at Jellystone Barks. All our questions were answered and Kim made the process seamless. Our new fur baby, Rory, fits right in with our family.
Wonderful experience working with Kim and her team. I will be using her rescue again in the near future.
We adopted both of our dogs from Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers, about 5 years apart. Our most recent rescue, a Pooton, was a puppy mill discard who came to us terrified of humans. Within the first 48 hours of love and patience, he was asking to snuggle with us and communicating with us about when he wanted to be let outside. It is so rewarding to watch the changes in him now that he has been in our home for about a month. I attribute his smooth transition to the work Kim and her volunteer fosters have done. We were guided every step of the way on how to work with our new pup’s needs.
I had the best experience with Kim from Jellystone!! She was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and went above and beyond when my puppy became ill. My Maltichon is the sweetest girl. We had the best adoption experience. Thanks again to Kim from Jellystone and Lisa from Wagging Tails.
Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers is so special to our family! We have adopted 4 dogs through Jellystone; Milton, Doris, Clark, and Dottie. Each time we have applied for a fury family member, Kim has always thoroughly looked through our application and her perspective dogs, to ensure a good fit for our family. It is so important to us that we find a good match, because we have small children. Doris has since gone to Heaven, and Kim made sure to find our family Doris’ perfect protege, which was really important for our daughters. We love Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers and they will always have a very special place in our family & hearts, they have given us our best friends.
I should have written this a long time ago. I cannot say enough great things about this organizations and Kim! Our beloved Biscuit passed away leaving our puppy, Shellie very lonely. My children wanted to rescue- I had never rescued before but have always had dogs in my family. I was worried as sadly we don't know what a dog's past might be. But, we saw our beautiful boy, Chewbacca and I fell in love with him. Kim was responsive and kind and so compassionate. We talked in detail about our loss with Biscuit and my concerns. We brought Shellie to meet Chewbacca and they have been inseparable for the last 7 years!! He is my "Knight in shining fur"- my beautiful German Shepherd boy. He's just magnificent. And it's so comforting to know Kim was there to answer any of our questions and concerns. Every dog has a story and sadly not all of them have a happy ending. We wanted to give my Chewbacca his happy ending, but the truth is, he's given us immeasurable love and loyalty. He's priceless! Thank you to Jellystone and of course my wonderful girl Kim!!

We had lost our sweet Biscuit ( a Golden Doodle) and our young pup, Shellie,a Golden Retriever was so very sad. I had grown up with German Shepherds and the kids wanted to "save a dog by rescuing one" . I went online and a few clicks later there was my handsome boy, Chewbacca or Sir Chewbacca as we call him. He was just stunning and I had to have him join our family. I ended up speaking with Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers (Kim M. ) and they were just phenomenal! You hear so many horror stories and we were truly amazed at how they care for all the animals especially getting the sweet furrys off of death row. They really, and truly care about finding the best home for these dogs. Our boy is our prince- our protector- our love. He and HRH Princess Shellie Belle are inseparable! Of course she rules the kingdom and he's her humble knight! They are pure joy and love. I'm forever grateful to Kim M. an Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers. Adopt -don's Shop.
I have Lupus and was searching for an emotional support dog to help me cope with my flares. I decided to look on a Adoptapet.com to search for my fur baby. I found my baby and immediately emailed Kim with Jellystone Bark Rescue to get more information about my Jax. I knew he was the one for me. I recommend anyone looking for a fur baby to contact Jellystone Bark Rescue. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
I adopted a mini golden doodle puppy in Feb 2023. Kim was extremely helpful with the process. I could not have received a better puppy, she is smart, extremely sweet and of course just adorable. Could not be more pleased
I originally contacted Kim about a pup (golden) that she had posted on her rescue’s Facebook page. I filled out an application for him but he was already in the process for an approved adopter. Kim let me know that her sister rescue, Wagging Hearts, had two golden puppies that needed a home. She sent us a picture of the pups and let us decide which one melted our heart the most. After choosing we set up a date to pick our new baby up. Kim called the day before we were to pick him up and let us know he had some severe diarrhea and wouldn’t be ready the next day. Although we were sad we knew it would be best for him to recover. My husband picked him up last Wednesday, as I was out of town, and we have been in love ever since! Kim has been so amazing to work with. She was extremely responsive to all my emails. I highly recommend Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers as well as Wagging Hearts.
We had such a great, worthwhile experience with Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers. Throughout the process, responses from JBRR were prompt, friendly, and informative. Best of all, we gained a mini goldendoodle, Tucker, into our family. Tucker was already in good condition from the care he received from JBRR and then he easily transitioned into our family. He especially loves his big brother, our 3 year old goldendoodle, Jax.
We are beyond thrilled with the adoption of our sweet baby boy, Austin. We adopted him when he was six weeks old and he came neutered and vaccinated. They were wonderful to work with, and he has been a wonderful puppy.
We were looking for a small older dog for my mom who is in her 70's. She'd been throwing the idea around for awhile and her partner agreed it was time. I contacted Kim about a 1yr old Yorkie I saw, she informed me that dog was on hold for another adopter. When I explained what we were looking for she recommended a small mix breed yorkie, about 4 years old, named Frannie cakes. I spoke with my mom and a few days later we were on our way to meet her. My mom fell in love and we took her to her new home and gave her the name Dani. She was shy at first and took a few weeks to settle in but she had definitely claimed her new mom & home. She's learned some tricks and has never had an accident. She's also growing back the fur on her rear end that at one point had been riddled with fleas, that is until Jellystone Barks invested their time, money, & hearts into getting her healthy and finding the perfect home. She brings so much joy into our lives and has made my mom's life so much better. You cannot put a price on that!! Thank you Kim & company for all you do!
I recently adopted my latest fur member of my family from Jellystone Barks. This is my third that I adopted through them. My first one 12 yrs. ago, then again 6 yrs. ago. Kim and the staff make the process seamless and timely. They are very professional and care for the animals they adopt out. They are well cared for and in good health. Great communications as they promptly return emails and answer any questions you may have. I wouldn't rescue from another organization.
Sincerely,
Donna Kowalski
Can't say enough about this rescue. I adopted my first in 2011, and my current in 2021, in the middle of the pandemic. I've sent several family and friends too, and they've all been happy with this rescue. They give you as much info as they can, and if at the meet and greet things don't go well, they don't push you to take an animal thats going to end up in rescue again. Their fees are very clear.
Kim and the team are wonderfully caring and organized. We met our beautiful baby girl and are so excited to have her home. Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers Tk you for all you do!
We adopted a puppy recently and he is the best thing ever. We had a great experience. The adoption process was smooth, and Kim is incredibly amazing. Murphi came with up to date vaccine, neutered, and microchipped. I appreciate that they are thorough about making sure your able to care for the dog.
Thank you so much Jellystone for giving us Murphi – we adore him!
Jellystone Barks was a first-rate operation. Very quick to respond to my family's inquiries, and all questions were thoroughly answered. Subsequent to the adoption, all information we had received about our pup turned out to be spot-on and highly accurate. No games being played here, and everything was on the up-and-up. We received a significant amount of paperwork on our puppy's health, and our veterinarian was very pleased with the amount of detail. Our puppy, Princess Fiona (later renamed Luna Blue), has been a wonderful addition to our family, and we could not be more pleased with service and professionalism of Jellystone Barks. Kim was most friendly, very polite, and worked with our preferred timelines to ensure that all was done well and done right. I would HIGHLY recommend Jellystone Barks if you are looking for a loving addition to your home.

We so appreciate our amazing adopters!! Thank you for giving Luna her Happily Ever After!!
Jellystone is a godsend, and we couldn't love our little Pomchi Johnny more if we tried.
We lost our last dog Pooka early in 2022, which left a massive hole in our family, but the moment we saw Johnny, we knew we needed him as much as he needed a good home.
Everyone at Jellystone is incredible, and the work they do is amazing. I am so glad we found them and were able to bring Johnny into our family.
We are so thankful for Jellystone's work, and we hope to adopt a brother or sister for Johnny from them.
If you're looking to add a furbaby (or 5) to your family, we couldn't recommend Jellystone more, they are the best in the area, and their care is remarkable!

Thank you for making Johnny’s dreams come true!!
When my husband and I decided to add a new puppy to our family, we knew we had to go with Jellystone. My parents had adopted their beautiful mastiff from them and had an amazing experience. We couldn’t be happier with the addition to our family in Theodore. We had specific needs for a puppy that would gel with our 10 year old dog, and Kim was very accommodating in matching us with Theodore. Kim was so up front about costs, the process, and procedure that we felt so comfortable on the day of the adoption and prepared to make his first day home as seamless as possible. Any question we had was either answered on their very informative website, or we would ask Kim and she would respond very quickly. I honestly don’t know how she does it!
Our experience with Theodore has been incredible. When rescuing, you’re also adopting their history, and we don’t regret a thing. Theodore is so smart, loving, and such a good baby brother. I credit Kim and Jellystone for being honest about his personality in the description of his adoption profile so we knew he would be an instant match for us! He was top of his class in puppy training and has truly been such a joy to raise!
We are so thankful to Kim and Jellystone for rescuing our boy. It makes us feel so happy that we could open our home to rescue a puppy in need as opposed to buying from a breeder. Their mission of rescuing dogs from unfortunate circumstances to match them with warm and loving homes brings a tear to my eye when looking at Theodore. We will always recommend going through Jellystone!

Thank you for giving this baby a wonderful forever family!!
We adopted our AussieDoodle Josey Wales (was named Sparrow) in June 2022 and had a wonderful experience with Kim and her team at Jellystone. Josey, now 5 months old, was in great care and very healthy and we were happy with the service and care from Jellystone. They were very thorough with the instructions on how to care for Josey and what was needed for her future care. Thank you and hope you are all doing well.

Thank you for making this beautiful girl so happy!!
I feel I won the rescue lottery: Trix(i) (formerly Hanna) is indeed the perfect match for me: preternaturally calm, follows some commands (sometimes), housebroken, no separation barking, loves her crate, gets along even w/ annoying dogs, and doesn't eat shoes and clothes, unlike some of my friends' rescues. Everyone finds her adorable, and I cannot believe my luck: I had a horrible experience w/ another rescue, which gave the dog I had met and said I wanted to adopt to another family at the last minute and then ghosted me for 2 days.
I cannot say enough good things about Kim: she was very prompt in responding to my emails/calls - sometimes w/in minutes! - even as she was transporting my dog to Illinois. The adoption process itself went quickly and smoothly, even tho it was at a dog fair with lots of people and dogs around. And altho it's true that the adoption fee ($695) is higher than some other rescues, and that the non-refundable deposit ($200) is odd, I felt that the explanations about both on the website were clear.
Many thanks to Kim and her crew, and keep up the great work!

Thank you for giving her a loving forever home!!
Our puppy was rescued from a terrible breeding situation and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to adopt not shop. This has been one of the best things my family has ever experienced and it would not have been possible without jellystone barks rescue rangers. They fight the good fight and I’m so thankful they don’t give up on all of us adopters who can’t seem to get it together in a timely manner. They will answer all your emails and have the patience of saints. Supporting their adopters every step of the way.
Thanks to Kim at Jellystone Barks, I now have the most wonderful canine companion named Baxter. He has been an absolute joy. I recently had to place my beloved mom in a nursing home and I have been taking Baxter with me to visit every day. He loves greeting all the residents and truly brightens up their day.
I will be forever grateful to Jellystone Ranger's and Kim for her help in bringing Baxter into my life. They are the best!
So happy to have the opportunity to express my complete gratitude and satisfaction with
the adoption process and absolutely wonderful results of the adoption of "Hunter" my new partner and companion. Another dog can never replace the pet we lost, but through this terrific, Jellystone Barks, organization I found a very lovable, friendly and needy Border collie to fill that void that was left when my other Border Collie Elvis passed almost 3 years ago. The process was efficient, friendly and so very professional.. Kim Morgan guided me through all the paper work, and was the one that handed me the new "Leash" on life for both Hunter and me. Jellystone Barks, helps both people and pets to mend their broken hearts, OMGOsh Almost forgot, not only does Hunter snuggle with me, but he loves to watch football, baseball and even NASCAR with me. I'm a grandma who loves sports. :) Jellyston Barks opens their hearts to all. Give them a try, you will not be sorry.
I tried adopting a puppy from them, the one I was hoping for had been adopted out earlier that day, and they offered me their brother, who my family hadn’t seen, but we were ready for a new addition to the family so we went ahead to adopt him without seeing him (stupid, I know). We get an email saying that if we pay the 200$ and the dog will be filed and could be picked up at the specified date. I inquired about the price to be sure that we had everything covered. Kim comes back a half hour later saying that the puppy was 795$. I’ve had worked with Rescue shelters before, and they have all been upfront with the cost, and none of them where priced so high, so I was shocked by this.
I emailed her back saying that we were under the impression that the dog was 200$ because of the PayPal email. She said, “I am not quite sure how anyone could have missed the adoption donation as it is clearly posted on all of our dogs.” And sent me the information on a different dog, if fact it was the dog my family originally wanted.
I had initially asked if there was something my family could do to work with the rescue or Kim so we could bring them home, and that was the reply I got.
I explained that the dog we had paid for was not the same as the same one as the information she sent me, in fact, the dog we paid for hadn’t even been listed yet. I asked if there was something we could do to bring the puppy home. I had told them in two separate emails that we wanted the puppy and that we preferred to work out some kind solution so we could bring him home with us. I did also say that we would like to be refunded if we couldn’t figure something out. After I called Kim out for the price, the misinformation, and the general rudeness for an honest mistake, she opted to give us a refund, which considering what others have gone through is lucky. I wish they could have given us other options, but instead of wanting to work with us to give a dog a good home, they must have wanted the 795$ more.
I see that others have had great experiences, and I’m glad for them, but if you’ve read all the way through this, just know that there are some shady people working there, trust your gut and if something seems off, don’t commit. Also, they also make sure to discredit any reviews that don’t write good things about them, so that says a lot about them.

jbrescuerangers 11/08/2021
All of our adoption donations are posted. If you want to reserve/pre adopt one of our available dogs that is your option. If a dog has already been reserved/pre adopted that dog is not available as it is pre adopted. Had you read through everything provided you would not have been confused as everything is spelled out in detail. We are sorry for your confusion.
We are very grateful to Jellystone Barks Rescue for saving the newest member of our family! We can’t imagine life without him :)
We rescued our pup February 2021 with the help of Jellystone and I have nothing but good things to say about these people! I had been online searching and turning in applications for months without any word back from other rescues. When I stumbled across our puppy, I contacted them right away (a Sunday night!) they sent over the application and by Monday morning we were approved! We drove 4 hours to meet her that same day and brought our little Gemma home ❤️ We are so in love with this little cutie-and she is amazing with our babies! Thank you Jellystone!
I only adopt pets from rescues and have worked with several in the area. I cannot recommend Jellystone Bark enough! They are the "match.com" of pets working to find the specific type and personality that you are looking for. Our extended family has adopted 4 dogs in the past 5 years and Kim and her team are the BEST!!!
Thanks so much from the bottom of our hearts as well as Cody, Mack, Titan and Rox (pic attached.)

We have had 3 great experiences adopting thru jellystone bark rescue rangers! Kim and her team have provided us with a great dog every time! We have also recommended a few friends here who cherish the love that each adoption brings. Thank you jellystone for helping us complete our family!
We Adopted our puppy Sadie in August of 2020 from Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers. Sadie weighed only 3.5 pounds and was 8 weeks old. It was love at first sight ! Sadie is now 14 months old and we are so blessed to have her in our lives !
Do not hesitate to adopt from this Rescue, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Kim Morgan and her staff through the adoption process.
Kim Morgan is very dedicated and caring, I had several personal phone conversations and emails with Kim after adopting Sadie, she was healthy and full of spunk but if I had a question or concern about Sadie, Kim was right there to help.
Kim, keep up the wonderful work you and your Staff do helping all these Beautiful Fur Babies find a Loving Home!!
We adopted Rex (formally Lubek) from Jellystone in January. I adopted previously in 2012 from them and had a good experience, so came back. The application process was easy and Kim emailed back right away. Rex was rescued from a breeder in the city where he was treated very poorly. This poor little guy was afraid of everything! After a few weeks he started coming out of his shell and now he is like a totally different dog! He plays at the dog park, listens to commands, plays with toys, and is such a happy pooch! Everyone comments how well behaved he is. He is such a joy and I would recommend Jellystone to everyone!
We adopted Ringo (formally Cole) from Jellystone in 2012. The application process was easy and we received a call from Kim the same day. He was the most wonderful dog. He came with some medications because he was turned in as a stray. We received directions how to give them and everything cleared up within a few weeks. He was housebroken, well behaved, good with children, a good watch dog. I even told my boss about this rescue and she adopted a dog from Jellystone as well after being turned down by other rescues. I would recommend Jellystone to anyone looking to adopt a dog.
I was interested in adopting one of their dogs. I was about to start filling out the application when I found out that there is a $200 non-refundable fee. On top of another $575. So basically their procedure is they force you to give them a $200 donation not guaranteeing the dog you want. So I thought why would I just waste $200 on top of paying a price that a breeder would charge. It doesn't seem that they are interested in the dogs best interest. They might as well just refer everyone 2 a breeder and keep their dogs locked up in cages. It's so sad how some of these organizations run.
We heard of Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers from my sister, who has rescued several dogs from them, so we decided to give them a try. It was just a few days from the time we filled out the application until we picked up our Buddy. We saw his picture on line and knew that was the puppy we wanted. He was adorable, and my wife and I loved him from that moment on. They set up a time for us on a Saturday, and we went to meet him. We didn't realize we were going to be able to take him home that day, but once we held him, we would not have wanted to leave without him. He was shaking like a leaf when we got him home, and every loud noise, or dog bark sent him running. Within 3 days, he was doing his business outside with very little coaxing from us. Now, about 10 weeks later, we have a very confident, extremely lovable puppy. He did not want to walk in the grass when we got him home, acting as if he had never touched it before. Now, we have a hard time bringing him into the house. He LOVES to run around our yard. I told my wife he looks as if he is running with joy. His energy level is so high, we get tired just watching him. We are both in our mid 60's and weren't ready for that, but he has been such a joy to us. We did not get to meet Kim Morgan that day, but the experience was so painless, and easy. We would recommend Kim and her people to anyone wanting to rescue a dog. We wish we knew a little bit more of his history, though. We may consider rescuing a playmate for Buddy, but have not made that decision yet, but we would definitely go with Kim again.
Our baby Yoshi is such a wonderful addition to our family!! Kim has been wonderful and has gone above and beyond in communication. I love that this organization does so much for all these furbabies. Yoshi loves all the cuddles and enjoys naps like nobody's business!! Thank you Jellystone for bringing joy into our home.
My partner and I had such a wonderful experience with Kim and Jellystone. We had been filling out applications for 20+ rescues and adoptions and most of them did not even get back to us or the dogs were already adopted. Kim got back to us the same day. On New Years day! We were able to arrange to meet our potential dog the following morning. We immediately fell in love. Addie is a sweet 1.5 year old Aussie mix that is the PERFECT match for us. The paperwork was quick the day of her adoption and Kim was so responsive with all the questions we had and helping us through the next steps such as setting up an initial vet visit, her pet insurance, and her appointment to get spayed as well as getting her microchipped the same day. We also met the foster mom and she was so kind and answered all our questions about Addie as well. Kim also followed up with us the next day and has kept in contact. I would recommend this rescue to anyone looking for a new pet. I am so thankful to have found our fur baby through this organization. Thanks a lot! - Natalia and Kyle
We just completed our second adoption with Jellystone and Kim a week or so ago. Our first was a pure 9 month old GSD and most recently a mix (Aussie) that was a pup of about 8 weeks. We are very happy with our experience. We applied at a number of rescues before Jellystone and asked about several dogs in the process. Some got back to us in 3-4 days... some never did. With Kim and Jelly, they were, by far, the most responsive of any shelter. At times, Kim would return our e-mails in minutes.
I read some of the reviews that were less than positive. I have to say, that was not our experience or perhaps some of those people were expecting more from a rescue. We had the choice of going to a breeder or a rescue. We knew the positives and the potential challenges of both. We chose a rescue with our eyes wide open as to some of the potential issues. Kim's program was well laid out along with all the caveats.
We are very happy with both our dogs. We'd go back to Kim for a 3rd (Sorry Kim, there won't be a third!... 2 is enough for now.) Xena and Bentley are having a great time together... as long as Xena remembers that Bentley isn't a chew toy.
They mislead you about adoption fees and procedures completed. They are rude, do not reply to any questions and then block you on Facebook if you try to find someone to talk to. Do not trust them.

jbrescuerangers 08/08/2021
All policies and procedures are clearly disclosed prior to adoption in our website, application disclosures, approval disclosures and adoption contract.
I adopted my perfect puppy in July! We had no issue at all and everything was perfect! We love our puppy Oliver! He has grown to be the perfect dog! Kim was always quick to respond to emails and helped us find our perfect dog! Highly recommend Jellystone to anyone looking for a dog!
I was on line looking at all of the dogs in shelters and felt so bad, we’ve always had our dogs from eight weeks old and from breeders, this is our first time getting a rescue dog, his name is Duke and when I saw his picture I fell in love. He’s so sweet and so smart, we’ve had him for a month now and he’s truly a joy to have in our family. We worked with Kim from rescue rangers and she was so helpful through the whole process, Duke is seven months old and is so good with everyone and other animals, thanks Kim for all your help. Sincerely the vozar family
We are raising our wonderful puppy from Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers NFP. As first time dog owners we had many questions. Kim was very responsive and available even after the adoption process for any guidance that we required. I really appreciate that a lot. The adoption process was smooth and easy. The team was available at the pick up point and dogs looked happy and excited in their arms :). The email communication are clear, structured and answers most questions dog owners might have in their minds. I have high regard for anyone doing welfare for animals. I sincerely thank Jellystone, Kim, her team and all animal shelters out there for saving animals and giving them a forever home.
Run, dont walk away from this shady scam of a "rescue ". First off, all the signs that we should have looked elsewhere were all there. A non refundable deposit of $200, and a total cost of $800 for this supposedly not for profit shelter. There was no background check, no pre meetup, we were told put a deposit down or the dog would be gone. High pressure sales tactics. When my wife took our dog to meet the rescue in a parking lot of a vet, the rescue immediately growled at our dog. Kim, the person in charge, dismissed this as a case of getting their leashes tangled and was only concerned about the money versus if the animals actually got along. They had a van full of dogs and appeared to be a flyby night operation that was attempting to rid themselves of as many animals as quickly as possible.
The dog was supposedly a purebred boston terrier that gets along with kids and other animals. All this rescue supposedly needed was another dog to help with anxiety. Our vet did verify that at least the purebred part was a lie and the dog was mixed with something else.
Getting the rescue home, it immediately starting marking the house non stop and was also a runner. It was also a aggressive alpha Male that attempted to mount everything in the house. None of this was mentioned for a 3 year old dog. We were adamant on making this work and saving this dog. On day 10, the rescue viciously attacked my dog twice after being told over and over that he was good with other animals. Clamped on my dogs neck and would not release until his jaw was pryed open.
We contacted Kim and returned the dog instead of having it put down. Now we are down $800 with nothing to show for it except a injured pug. A few days later my dog developed a massive infection and needed emergency surgery. The same day my cat died of a mysterious illness that while I cant prove was brought in by the rescue, the cat was 100% healthy until the rescue came into our house.
$650 dollars to the vet for my dog and cat, I politely asked Kim for my adoption fee back to cover the vet bills. I never heard anything, which I knew would happen. I'm now down $1500, lost a beloved cat and am still not sure my dog will recover 100%.
The worst part, this shelter re adopted this vicious dog to someone else, and never changed the listing to mention the dog did not get along with other animals. I fear this animal will attack a another dog or even a small child.
Do not, under any circumstances take a chance with this rescue. Look around for reviews, you wont find any because they wont allow it. Scroll down on this page, we are unfortunately not the only family who has been scammed.

The dog in question has lived with multiple animals in foster care and has not had any aggression issues with any of them. We temperament test all of our animals and no dangerous animals leave our care. There was no reason to believe that the dogs would not get along at their meeting. All of our approved adopters have the option of reserving/pre adopting the dog that they are most interested in. It is an OPTION and NOT A REQUIREMENT. Blaming the rescue for the negligence of the owner is incomprehensible. All new animals in a new home and existing animals should be monitored closely as recommended as we do not know what caused the altercation between the dogs 10 days after adoption. Our dog was fully vetted, healthy and cleared by our vet for adoption so to blame the death of a senior cat on the dog is also not feasible.
We had a great experience! We found a 10 month old half golden retriever/lab and we knew she was the one. When we got her we were nervous, but she has been nothing but amazing! We are so happy we rescued this baby. She is living the country life and enjoying our big yard. She really has it made. Kim was amazing giving us her back story and answering our questions. We also kept Kim updated on how she was doing with us.
We found Chewy (now Chewie) a little over a month ago. We saw his photo on an adoption website. We emailed Kim and received a response right away. Kim was wonderful in answering our questions about Chewie. We picked him up in Pet Smart in Oswego and Kim had everything we needed. His medical records, medicine from the vet, his microchip, and rabies tag. The volunteers were very kind and patient with our excitement over our new family member. Chewie is the BEST dog. We love our new furbaby and he has definitely found his forever home. Three days after getting Chewie we had a family emergency and had to make a 11 hour trip home. Even AFTER bringing Chewie home, Kim was happy to answer questions about making Chewie comfortable on the long drive. Chewie was a huge comfort to us and our family as we said goodbye to two of our family members in the span of 24 hours. Chewie is my shadow and so good with our kids. Kim, thank you for all you do and for helping us find our new family member!
About 9 years ago we had lost our beloved Boxer Oscar. We were heart broken and started searching to save another Boxer and came across Jelly Stone Barks Rescue Rangers and found our net Boxer Rocky and shortly after our other dog passed heart broken again we searched their site and found another Boxer Floyd. We spent about 9 years with the both of them and they gave us all the love and loyalty we could ever want. Tragedy struck this year and in January we lost Rocky and we were blessed to find a puppy that needed to be rehomed from a friend. The puppy and Floyd were inseparable for six months and then we unfortunately lost Floyd. We were all heart broken once again especially our puppy Apollo so after about two weeks our family talked and we decided to search for his new brother. First place I checked was Jelly Stone Barks Rescue Rangers and believe it or not there was a another Boxer looking for rescue through them. We acted immediately and contacted them thinking it was meant to be and sure enough Rex is now a member of our family and all of our hearts are full again. We were all amazed that Kim and her crew were still at it after all those years and we are so delighted that they saved all of our hearts. These people need to be recognized because they have cured our heart ache three times now and they have done the same for thousands of people. They will always have a place in our hearts and many others Im sure.

There is no better feeling knowing that your homeless babies have gotten an amazing and loving family and their Happily Ever After except for the valued friendships we make along that journey. ❤️
While we ended up with a happy ending, there were a lot of concerning parts of the adoption process with this organization. The dog we were looking to adopt was advertised as: Kid friendly, good with other dogs, a mix of a golden retriever and australian shepherd. We were unable to meet the dog prior to adoption because of COVID so we trusted we were being told the truth. When we arrived to pick her up, she was 90 lbs and very clearly not a mix of either type of dog that was advertised. While I understand that you cannot tell the exact type of dog a rescue is, she had been very obviously misidentified and anyone that knows anything about dogs would know that. She has turned out to be terrible around other dogs which has resulted in extensive training to try and help with that. She also cost us over $800 which is an absurd adoption fee compared to most other organizations. Overall this was an expensive and uninformed process and I would definitely recommend looking at other rescues before using this one.

Our dogs are temperament tested prior to intake and live in foster homes with other animals and children of various ages. The information that we post is accurate based on our vast experience however any animal can change in different settings based on owner experience, training and boundaries.
I have nothing but great things to say about this rescue! We saw “Confetti” now known as Birdie on the adopt a dog site. I sent an application and heard back quickly. They were very responsive to all of my questions and she is a PERFECT fit for our family!! This group was so kind and attentive. You can tell they love their “job”.

We can’t thank you enough for giving this sweet girl an amazing love filled life.
60,000 animals x $600-$800 per animal - 200 per animal vetting/interstate transport (that's being generous) = $24,000,000 to $36,000,000. Just in "rehoming" animals, not donations or your $30 NONREFUNDABLE application fee. Ooof.
This place is a total scam. They resell stolen dogs. There are a lot of good rescues out there, this is not one of them. There is no reason why this "nonprofit" should be SELLING dogs for $700+!! They are not a breed specific rescue, and many of their dogs are not actually vetted and get home to their new families, sick.

This is one of the best rescues in the Midwest saving over 60,000 animals. Please provide proof of your ridiculous accusations before slandering an excellent group. This post is nothing but a fabrication.
I have had the pleasure of being owned by 4 of my fur babies from Jellystone Barks. The love and care that this group puts into each and every baby they rescue shines through. I've adopted from other rescues, and they did not cover any of the shots, or vet needs. Director Kim seems to live, eat, and breath rescue. Thank you Jellystone for allowing me to love 4 of your babies.
We adopted our first dog Jack back in April 2019. Our family decided we would finally get a dog and buying one was not an option. My son found JBRR and we instantly fell in love with our little beagle mix. Kim and her associates made it so easy to adopt. She walked me through everything. When we decided to get Jack a forever friend we once again turned to JBRR and found our beagle Kobe. We adopted him this past June. I am happy to say that my two little fur babies are getting used to one another and our filling our home with so much love. I can't thank JBRR enough for all that they do. It speaks volumes for the kind of people they are and that they have an intense love for these animals. I tell everyone i know that is looking for a new pet to go to JBRR.
We have been blessed to adopt 2 wonderful dogs to be part of our family. One last year and one just one week ago!! It will take some adjusting for them but with lots of patience, consistency and LOVE, we are looking forward to the many years of joy they will bring us!! As you can see by the pictures the newest member on the bed has made himself at home and we couldn’t be happier! Thank you JBRR!
It was 2011 and we had recently lost our dog. We happened to find Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers and met a shy, timid, adorably sweet puppy named Maggie. It was love instantly and we brought her home with us. Kim and her volunteers are so amazing at what they do for these animals! They do this on their own time on top of their jobs and lives. Kim really takes the time to explain everything to you about the process and the dogs history/medical info. She also makes herself available after the adoption for any questions and loves to hear updates. JBRR is so amazing that we adopted THREE more dogs from them, the latest one in 2020!! I can't say enough good things about this rescue. They don't skimp on medical care or vetting, they are super fast to respond to inquiries and you can tell the amount of love that they pour into these dogs. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to add a dog to their family. Thank you for what you do! You are angels!
We have adopted 2 of our fur babies from Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers. Our first adoption through Jellystone was in 2013 when we adopted our Stella (previously Dee Dee). Kim Morgan was extremely responsive and guided us through the adoption process. Our 2nd adoption through Jellystone was in 2019. Our family knew we were ready to adopt another dog so I reached out to Kim. I told Kim that we werent interested in a specific dog but instead told her about our family's lifestyle and asked for her input on a dog that would be a good fit for our very active household. Kim asked us to consider Kandy and come meet her. Kandy and her brother Kane came from an abusive situation. Kane was immediately adopted but Kandy remained in rescue. We met Kandy and it was love at first sight. We adopted Kandy and she is now Daisy. Daisy has been part of our family for a year and 1/2 and she makes us smile each and every day. As a repeat adopter, I can tell you that we feel like a part of the Jellystone family. Kim is so appreciative of every adoption and safe home that she places these beautiful babies in. We are so thankful for her and all that she does. I recommend this rescue to anyone interested in adding a fur baby to their family.
What a great rescue! I can’t say enough about Kim and all of her hard work getting great fosters and vet help! We adopted our baby last October and she made it such a wonderful experience! We had recently lost our sweet dog to cancer and felt ready to adopt. We are recent retirees and empty nesters with an innate love of dogs, on a huge piece of land and had the time to fully train and make our rescue part of our family (as we always have). The few rescues we tried refused us, thinking we were too far away or not a good fit. We have always rescued our dogs, but were discouraged and ready to go to a breeder. We saw a picture on Jellystone Barks Rescue Rangers and thought we would give it one more try. Thank goodness! Kim knew the pup we picked would go to a great home and has no doubt in our fit. Flicka has been a joy and we take her everywhere! Not only does she have a great home but we have a fantastic dog! We are grateful everyday...she had great medical care, coming from a bad situation and had a rough start. Because of Kim and her team, Flicka has a wonderful life.
We have adopted 2 absolutely wonderful dogs from JBRR! Wolfgang was a 12 week old puppy when he became part of our family. Daisy was a 2 year old absolute gem when we brought her home. We cannot say enough good things about this organization. They are responsive and make sure the animals in their care will be loved. Their passion for animals is evident. We have recommended them highly to friends and family looking to add to their families!
Adopting a dog from JBRR has been a great experience for us. Compared to other dog rescue organizations Kim was very responsive and helpful in guiding us thru the process. JBRR was recommended to us by a friend who had adopted from them. Needless to say she is as happy with her dog as we are with ours. What seems especially nice for the dogs is that they are placed with foster families while they are awaiting adoption. We are already referring friends and acquaintances who are looking for a dog to JBRR.
We have adopted two dogs from Jellystone - first Riley our mini Aussie back in December 2019 and then Sydney - Aussie/Border Collie this past May. Kim and her crew are a pleasure to work with. They all are passionate about saving lives - and really care about these animals. I have reached out in the past to other rescues when I was looking to adopt and would never even get a response. Kim is very responsive and highly responsible about adopting out these dogs! Jellystone is one of the best rescues out there.
If given the option the review would have zero stars...
I contacted Kim Morg** ( Jellystone Barks RR) via text letting her know that the dog she had for sale was my dog. I told her that I was willing to pay full price to get MY dog back. She responded first by claiming she does not sell dogs. After proving her otherwise she went on to state she didn't know anything about my dog or the where abouts. I have on file with the Clark Co. Sheriffs office of Indiana that Kim was infact very much involved with the attempted sale of my dog. She orchestrated the transport from 5 plus hours away. She not only lied to me but lied to the authorities involved. She currently knows the where abouts of my other missing dog and continues to skirt around unwilling to help bring our sweet girl home.

JBRR is a rescue organization that saves dogs from death row and places them with rescue groups. Dogs are pulled from multiple shelters in the Midwest which are facing euthanasia due to overpopulation. Our assistance is requested through many avenues. The dog in question was never in our rescue nor did we place the dog into rescue. All of our animals are registered and documented with the states outgoing and incoming. This rescue has never had contact with this animal.
I have contacted this group twice now with absolutely no response. I did not want to have to write this review but I don’t know what else to do. We adopted a border collie pup back in June. We were so excited to get a dog after saying goodbye to our beloved border collie of 12 years who died of a brain tumor. We were very surprised that after we paid for our dog, we were told she had kennel cough and were given medications. Kennel cough is usually easy to treat, one antibiotic will do the trick for a small puppy. Yet the antibiotics they gave me were really heavy duty. My vet was very surprised she was on them, one of which stunts bone growth in puppies. After paying $600 for the dog, we have now paid over $6, 000 trying to get rid of the so-called kennel cough, which turned into pneumonia despite the fact that we have been treating her since day one with antibiotics. Clearly this group knew she was a very sick dog and sold her to us anyway. I purchased the required insurance the day we got her. Unfortunately, because she was sick when we got her it was considered a pre-existing condition and nothing was covered. I wrote them what I consider a nice email after all we have been through with zero response. I wrote them again and I asked to at least be reimbursed for the spaying that I paid for (not even the adoption fee) because the dog is too sick to be spayed. Zero response. My friend wrote a review on their Facebook page for it to be deleted immediately. Shady business if you ask me.

We had not responded as we had not received an email since June of 2019. We have our standard protocol for all of our dogs which has been successful on thousands of dogs for over ten years. Medical records state that is our standard protocol for all puppies. The puppy had a full adoption exam minutes before the adoption was finalized at our vets office and she was cleared to go home. Her lungs were clear and there were no issues with proceeding. Our dogs come with full medical records and are adopted from our vets office after a complete health exam. We have since contacted the owner and have a plan in place with our alter reimbursement.
If you love animals, especially dogs you will love this nonprofit. I volunteered to work with them in a community awareness and mini-fundraiser recently. These passionate animal lovers are making a huge impact to rescue dogs from neglect, abuse and death. Every two weeks they remove a truckload of dogs from high kill shelters to give them a second chance at life. They supply dogs to 95 other rescues and operate their own out of Yorkville Animal Hospital in Yorkville. To date, they have rescued nearly 60,000 dogs. Great nonprofit to generously donate to. Now I have offered to write grants to help them do more.

You are truly an Angel!!
