Javelan's mission is to provide our nations heroes that suffer with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), Traumatic Brain Injury, and many other affiliated physical disabilities, with trained medical service dogs. JAVELAN is unique in that they teach veterans and first responders how to train their own dog and /or rescue dogs, to become their personalized service dog.It is a small group of dedicated people who devote their time to this cause to help give independence to our nations heroes, with positive results for those we help.

Hello, i am uscg veteran with ptsd, anxiety and balance issues. On July 25th, 2017 Duckey and I officially became a team thanks to javelan. Prior to Duckey's training i was on multiple anxiety and depression medications and hesitated going out in public for fear of an attack or falling with no help to get back up. Fortunately, Javelan changed all that they trained both of us to work together and Duckey is now my right arm and i can't imagine life without him.
He knows before I do that I am going to have an attack and immediately starts comforting me and often prevents a full attack and at night when my ptsd most often occurs he's there by my side comforting me letting me know i'm safe and all is well. As a result I am able to go back to sleep shortly after, knowing that my guardian angel is there by my side keeping me safe from my own mind. If it weren't for javelan i would still be a train wreck. Also his exemplarary behavior and attentiveness to me has impressed my doctors so much they want to use him as an office mascot. The training, peace of mind and a restored quality of life they provide to veterans is priceless and invaluable. Thanks Javelan for giving me my life back.

Javelin took my little brittney spaniel and worked with the both of us. I now have a loving companion who goes everywhere with me. I don't know what I would do without her. She can tell when things are not going right and comes over and nudges my hand then crawls up on my lap. This was a life changer for me, my PTSD is under control with NO Drugs.
Thank you so very much.

JAVALAN helped me get my dog Mystic trained to be my service dog. Since she came into my life she has helped me overcome my disability’s and has allowed me to return to work. Without their help I don’t know where I would be.

I have been living with horrible PTSD, since I was honorably discharged from the Marines in 2004. My symptoms range from auditory hallucinations, to extreme anxiety/hyper vigilance. These issues have made it very hard to get and stay employed. My current position as Military Outreach for Bellevue University, requires a lot of travel, through crowded and unfamiliar places, all around the country. I believe that if it weren’t for Javelan’s help in getting the needed training for my lab/beagle mix, Lizzie, I do not believe I would have been able to stay at this job. I’ve been there more than a year now, and it’s largely due to the efforts of the wonderful people at Javelan. Since Lizzie became my service dog, my quality of life has improved dramatically, and in many ways I didn’t even realize it needed to. Wonderful organization, run by top notch, compassionate people.

Javelan provided training for Lexie and I. They provide outstanding trainers to teach you how to train your service dog. We started training when Lexie was 11 weeks old and she will be 1 year old in a couple weeks. She makes a huge difference in my everyday life now.

Javelin helped this veteran to train our dog to be a service dog for PTSD. It's been a life-changing experience! Thanks to Matt who taught us so we could teach Bentley!
