JASMYN has been serving youth in Jacksonville for over 20 years! Our city is one of the largest without any local protections for LGBTQ citizens in jobs or housing, and has one of the highest HIV infection rates in youth! JASMYN meets kids where they are, no judgment, just a safe space, amazing staff who know how to connect with the kids, and programming and services to address the very serious issues some of them face daily. On top of all of the serious work they do, JASMYN throws some incredible parties, like the Alternative Prom, and helps the youth nurture their creative and leadership sides, too! I am proud to give my time and money to an JASMYN, and I can tell you that, for all the fun, I know they treat my gifts with the care and professionalism!
