A few years back I went to India with a non profit organization to teach kids English in rural schools and to donate books. While volunteering I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that I was helping make a difference. A couple of years later I came across Janyaa and realized I could still continue helping and get the satisfaction from it all while being here in America. I like Janyaa because of the way it teaches kids experimental lessons which will be useful for them later on in their lives. Janyaa holds the power to potentially shape these kids' lives and that is something I wanted to be a part of.
My contribution to Janyaa makes me feel extremely happy. To be able to help such a noble organization is an honor and gift to me. By working for Janyaa Nature Lab (JNL), one of the initiatives of Janyaa, I can help put together their experiments by drawing information from various sources related to organic farming. While helping the cause, I am also learning myself what organic farming really is and its allowing me to understand how important it is that we understand our nature and where we come from. I know the kids who take this information will also feel the same way and might even help them create ingenious plans in their lives. I am excited about the impact that Janyaa can make through this program.

I've known Janyaa since 2009 and had been actively participating in Janyaa's events as a participant. It was the Science & Math events that was organized by org, It's focus on developing problem solving skills is something unique I must say , that is what I was initially attracted /drawn to ..Slowly once I started to learn about the depth of Janyaa , I felt I needed to contribute to this cause.
I've been a volunteer in Janyaa for 4 years now and every year it amazes the work that goes in problem solving skills through experiential learning. It has certainly touched many lives and looking forward for many more in coming years.
Wishing Janyaa and Team continued success !!
I have known Janyaa for some time now through a good friend of mine and recently have become more actively involved with. I strongly believe in educating children of all societal backgrounds and feel that lack of resources or opportunities should not be a barrier for children to explore their interests. While there are many non-profit organizations that focus on educating children, I was drawn to this one in particular because of its focus on imparting math and science concepts through hands-on learning and experimentation. By encouraging self-directed active learning, Janyaa equips students to take on the challenges of the real-world problems and come up with creative out-of-the-box solutions.

Its great to see Janyaa implement this for under- privileged children by providing schools the resources needed for various Math and science concepts. These experimental kits help children, visualize the concept which inturn helps them be creative thinkers and problem solvers.
I have been a part of this awesome non profit for the past 4 years. I love how much the founder and each volunteer are passionate about the cause. Its extremely transparent what they do and how the funds are spent. The impact of this organization is more obvious, when kids come up with solutions to problems in their own community. So proud to be a part of this wonderful team!!
Janyaa has been an amazing experience to be involved with. A unique and very dedicated cause for the enhancement of education of several underprivileged students in rural India. I am so amazed by the dedication that all the volunteers have for the cause and work tirelessly towards achieving their goals . I feel extremely blessed to be part of this very honorable organization
My experience with Janyaa has been worthwhile so far. I have been with Janyaa for a couple of months now and I wouldn’t imagine helping any other organization during the situation the whole world is facing. Even though we have problems communicating and getting knowledge passed on because of COVID this organization helps kids get that education that everyone deserves. I feel so proud to be a part of this organization who cares for others educations and found a way to help our world and our community be a better place by giving everyone the education they need. I can’t wait to see what Janyaa has to offer in the near future and I hope that I can be a part of that change when it comes.
I have been volunteering with Janyaa for the past 4 years and it has been an amazing journey. I was first drawn to Janyaa because of Venu (founder of Janyaa) - she talked to me so passionately about all the work Janyaa did - about making math and science more engaging to students by using experiments as a way of hands on learning and moving away from rote learning. Janyaa has some very unique programs and I really love what they have done to empower both teachers and students to apply what they learn in school to their daily life and give back to the community. When I can put something that I have learnt into use, not only for myself but for others as well, I am more motivated to come back and continue learning. That's exactly what Janyaa students are doing with their learning - finding solutions to everyday problems - be it solutions to water problems with models of rainwater harvesting or recycling old clothes and paper to make usable products like doormats. I am thankful to volunteer for Janyaa and can't wait to see how many more innovations they come up with and how many more students can be helped.
I have participated in fundraiser events organized by Janyaa since I was in middle school, and have had the opportunity to volunteer with them at various events. I was first introduced to the organization and its mission through a science fair that they hosted. It not only raised awareness of what they were hoping to achieve but gave a kids a fun opportunity to be innovative. Janyaa not only allowed me to showcase my talents as a dancer but it also gave me the platform to give back to my community by helping in the fundraiser efforts. This summer I additionally got to collaborate on creating lesson plans and it was a very fun experience. Janyaa is a great organization to be a part of as it teaches you about problems that other kids are facing and allows you to make a difference.
As the saying by Confucius goes "Give a man a fish, and you'll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you've fed him for a lifetime." Kids who are taught Science and Math concepts through experiments build a foundation to solve tomorrow's problems by themselves.
As someone that grew up with a phobia towards Math, I really value how Janyaa uses experiential learning methods to teach math and science concepts by bringing the science lab to students who do not have access to it in government schools.
I have had the pleasure and privilege of volunteering at Janyaa for the past 3 years and it has been rewarding to have made a direct impact in bringing fine education to under-privileged kids in India. We keep the administrative costs to a minimum, making sure 95% of the donations go towards the program. I wish Janyaa continued success.
I have been part of Janyaa since its inception. I am very proud of the work Janyaa has done to uplift the under served communities in India. As a person who values education the most, I feel honored to be part of Janyaa and the work it is doing to not only provide hands on learning resources but to actually make the kids creative problem solvers.
I also personally value the transparency in this organization and I know that all the donors and supporters of Janyaa feel the same.
A great team to work with, and an even greater mission to work for! Helping bring innovative learning and teaching styles through Janyaa’s programs to government and rural Indian schools has been a great experience. Really appreciate the efforts of the team in working for the cause and thank you for the opportunity to be a small part of it!
I have been associated with Janyaa for past 2 years. You need to understand Indian schooling and infrastructure they have to know the difference Janyaa is making. Most rural schools do not have any science lab or enough teachers to explain the science and maths concepts well. When a child experiences these concepts with materials that they use everyday, then they understand better. Janyaa's concept of the education kits and passion with which volunteers take it to many schools is what makes Janyaa a great success brining joy and science into thousands of children lives :)
THE PHILOSOPHY
What you hear stays with you for minutes, what you listen for days or weeks. What you learn for years. And what you experience stays with your for a lifetime.
Experiential learning is what distinguishes Jaynaa -- the use of balloons, fruits, vegetables, kitchen utensils to study expansion, and color pencils to solve polynomial equations.
THE PEOPLE
The selfless volunteers ensure that administrative costs are kept to a minimum resulting in an outreach of almost 500 schools and 100,000 students.
MY ASSOCIATION
I got associated with Janyaa a couple of years ago by providing the live band music for fund raisers. The principles, the people, the leadership, and their commitment were all impressive.
I wish this org continued success.
"Educate a child, You educate a nation", only with education you can address issues such as poverty, gender inequality, awareness about physical and mental health etc. Janyaa understands the value of education and especially the importance of encouraging kids to enter the STEM field. They provide underprivileged children in rural areas, hands on learning experience in the field of math and science. Growing up in a small town I personally know the effects of not having access to a science lab. As a kid I had so many questions and filled with curiosity about simple scientific statements, however I never had the opportunity to experiment or fully comprehend.
I was excited when I heard about Janyaa last year, I have been following their efforts and progress. To say that I'm impressed is an understatement. They are one of the most dedicated, hardworking and intelligent bunch of people. More then 90% of the funds they raise goes directly towards the program and every single person on their board is a volunteer. I hope they grow everyday and reach as many children as possible. My sincere best wishes are with Janyaa and it's amazing team.
I have been a volunteer at Janyaa for the last two months and have been able to reach and hear stories about that inspire me on a day to day purpose. Did you know a ten-year children donated his birthday money to Janyaa instead of buying gifts? As a social media marketer for facebook and youtube, I have witnessed the different ways that people have helped make a difference to thousands worldwide. Volunteering here has allowed me to appreciate my life more and has impacted me in a positive way.
I started volunteering with Janyaa not long after it was founded and have done various writing and online tasks for the organization since then. What has kept me involved has been the passion and dedication of the all-volunteer organization and my deep belief that what they are doing is making a difference in the world. The concept is simple and the practical implementation of their programs is incredibly cost-efficient. I can't wait to see where this organization goes and how many lives it touches as it grows bigger and better each year.
