Mission: The jannetta neuroscience foundation, inc. Performs research that advances neuroscience relating to vascular compression of the brain stem and cranial nerves and the effects on the human body. The foundation educates physicians, basic scientists, patients and the public about the results of the foundation's research regarding treatment for several common and debilitating diseases of aging.
Programs: Education programthe jnf continues its edcational program for an audience including: physicians, basic scientists, patients and the public to broaden the understanding and treatment of diseases-hypertension, pd, and other diseases of aging. In may, 2016 during the american association of neurological surgeons national meeting, the department of neurosurgery/university of pittsburgh medical center and the jannetta society of the jnf co-hosted the initial, three-day "peter j. Jannetta, md. Symposium-innovations in neurosurgery: history and future" the symposium featured presenters from the us and abroad and attracted more than 100 neurosurgeons and residents.
