This NPO is small but mighty. It has worked hard to help ease the worry of basic needs for Haitians thru the gift of diapers for families and medical agencies. These items are provided to families as incentive to visit clinicsfor well child visits and maternal care. Haiti has the highest of infant, child and maternal deaths in the Western Hemisphere.
Jake's Diapers is an incredible nonprofit whose mission is helping babies have clean diapers both locally, across the state and country as well as internationally. I work for a partner agency, Family & Childcare Resources and we have found them to be professional, caring, adaptable and all around wonderful.
Thank you for everything you do!
Jake's Diapers does such a wonderful job, helping parents and orphanages to be able to keep so many little bottoms clean and dry. Cloth diapers frees up funds for formula and food.
Thank you for helping me help orphans in Ethiopia.
"Responds to the need." That would describe Jakes Diapers Inc.
In my experience with Jakes, there has not been a challenge to big for the Executive Director, Stephanie Bowers. Stephanie always finds a way to meet the needs at hand. She works hard to get the word out in the community, as well as to those in the cloth diaper industry. Through the relationships and partnerships she has built, diaper needs around the world are being met. It doesn't take long to gather a team of volunteers to unload, prep, or pack diapers. Many generous people contribute in numerous ways to make it all happen. Each donation is important and appreciated. Whether it is input of time, talent, or resources they directly influence the impact of Jakes Diapers. Jakes Diapers is truly impacting the lives of precious babies around the world!
After Hurricane Maria I met Stephanie, from Jake's diapers and to be honest...I never imagined their drive, honesty and love to help would be so much. I am in PR and I have seen first hand how much they help families all over the island to not suffer, to have something as basic as diapers and menstrual items. The relief and shock you see when each person receives their kits, coupled with so much gratitude is overwhelming and it has only been done thanks to the donations Jake's diaper does. On behalf of every elderly, moms, fathers and families...Thank you Jake's diapers
Jake's Diapers is an amazing organization with a wonderful vision to help little ones all over the world by providing diapers to individuals in need. We are pleased to be a partner with Jake's Diapers and happy to work with them by providing diapers and donations. The passion and care behind this team is second to none and the outreach provided is amazing!
Jake's Diapers is an amazing organization with heart and passion great enough to change the world. I have been with Jake's Diapers since its infancy, and the passion and drive of Stephanie and her team is unmatched. Jake's is on a global mission to eliminate diaper need and help provide families and caregivers with dignity so they don't have to choose between diapering and feeding their children.
I have served on the board for many years and recently was able to participate in an in-person diaper drop in Haiti. The work that Jake's is doing is literally life changing for these families and organizations in need. They serve a population that is in desperate need of help and resources and they do so through educating and retaining dignity through a simple diaper. Something so small, but something that can make a huge and lifelong impact. This experience was not only life-changing for me, but it solidified my belief in the mission and need for this organization.
Jake's Diapers is truly changing the world. Stephanie and her team are dedicated to making sure that no mother ever has to choose between food and diapers for their children.
As the Director of Michael Klahr Jewish Family Services in Portland, Maine - it has been incredible to work with Jake's Diapers to provide long lasting solutions to families faced with diaper need.
A number of families in our community are asylum seekers - waiting for work papers, etc. to be accepted before they are eligible to receive any form of state assistance. They rely heavily on food pantries and diaper banks for up to 200 days or more. Purchasing disposable diapers on a regular basis is not an option.
After reviewing instructions with Jake's Diapers on how to care for cloth diapers, a number of our families have opted to utilize them. It has taken a huge burden off their shoulders!
Jake's Diapers is committed to serving families world wide and they offer wonderful support for agencies looking to partner with them. Cannot say enough positive things!!!
Jake's Diapers is an amazing organization that brings much needed diapers to babies and families in areas of extreme poverty, disaster stricken areas and more. They are out there physically eliminating, with one diaper at a time the reality of parents having to make the choice to buy diapers or food for their families. Many of these families are reusing disposables several times over to get by. I have had the honor of being a part of this charity from more than one angle. As a donor and as a part of a company team that helps get more diapers and diapering items to this Charity.
I started volunteering with Jake's Diapers when it was first starting up, then moved out of the area for awhile, then returned. The growth and impact they have achieved over the past several years is AMAZING, it has grown to be so much more than I ever imagined! There is a great passion within this organization to see to it that those without the resources to obtain diapers (babies, special needs children, and adults all included) can have that need met. I LOVE that much of the diapers distributed are cloth diapers, as this is a long term solution to diaper need that is often out of reach for diaper banks who specialize in disposables. The ability to work together with partner organizations is such a blessing to help them meet diaper need so they can use their own limited resources on other dire needs.
I am writing on behalf of the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona. We are always looking for ways to, not only meet diaper need in our community, but to REDUCE diaper need. Last year, we began exploring the idea of offering a cloth diaper option to interested families. We had conversations with the University of Arizona's Bureau of Applied Research in Anthropology (BARA) about conducting research on cloth diaper use, and wondered about getting the supplies necessary to begin in earnest. At a National Diaper Bank Network conference, we met Stephanie Bowers from Jake's Diapers. She heard about our vision, and immediately offered to help us with our project by donating 30 cloth diaper kits! This made it possible to get our project off the ground. With additional support from Jake's Diapers and other local donors, our project is in full swing. As it happens, most of the families who responded to our offer are refugees or recent immigrants. We have heard many stories about how this has been such a life-changing gift for these families as they struggle to become self-sufficient in their new country. Simply having a CHOICE about how to diaper their babies provides cultural continuity, confidence, reduces family stress, and saves a lot of money that can be used for other necessities. Thank you, Jake's Diapers, for sharing our vision, as we work together to make sure that no child goes without a clean, dry diaper!
