The JKF is dedicated to supporting people just like me: addicts who desire a life without drugs. But they don't stop there. Giving support to the families and loved ones who suffer alongside: a family disease in need of understanding, fellowship and a solution. Their endless fight to unite and help others understand what this disease entails; tell the truth about addiction bc sugar coating helps no one! Time, money and resources have been humbly given to make sure each addict finds a program that works for THEM; giving them the best chance at a life of recovery. When something stops working, they move on. When something keeps working, they put every ounce of energy into it. Helping the ones that no one else will is not an easy task. It's not for the faint of heart and it definitely is not a part time gig. Thank you to the JKF for carving out a plan of action that is dynamic, multi dimensional, long term and extremely loving.

This foundation has nothing but heart and wants to help every person who reaches their hand out for help. They worked tirelessly to raise funds as to help as many people suffering as possible. They are always there to answer a call have a family member in crisis. I believe they will continue to help more more people and save many lives. Kathy is an angel on earth, through her grief she selflessly works harder than anyone I know to prevent another family to suffer the loss she has endured .

I met Kathy in 2013 when I worked as a volunteer for a fundraiser she was doing for her foundation. She's an amazing mom who lost her son Jake to a heroin OD. Kathy has helped hundreds of heroin addicted kids since she started Jake foundation. She goes to the ends of the earth to get them Into rehab & Stays in contact with them long after.

The Jake Foundation is a blessing. They talked to my addicted son and gave him information he needed to hear. They are careful with their resources... At a point when he wasn’t ready to seek real help and only wanted change on his own terms, they wisely waited. When he finally was ready, they were there for him. They gave him hope by helping him get in a rehab center quickly. If he had had to wait, he may have given up hope. They didn’t let that happen.

I had met Kathy back in the beginning of 2016. It was then that I learned of her background experience with substance abuse as well as her current work with people looking to recover their lives. It was quickly proven that her organization goes above and beyond to support those that don't have the necessary resources to obtain treatment. I work for an organization that runs on a similar premise- we've utilized her organization multiple times to help those that we could not fully support.

The JKF Foundation deserves much praise and appreciation.

Rain. That's her name. A 15 month old bundle of energy with an impish smile and eyes so blue they hold your gaze captive. Because of the Jake Koenigsdorf foundation, Rain's mommy and daddy got clean and Rain was born with no drugs in her system. She was spared the hell of the symptoms of withdrawal and all that goes with it. Because of JKF, Rain is here. Rain has a chance at a future. Thank you, Kathy. Thank you, Jake. This grandmother is grateful
indeed.

This foundation has helped my son tremendously! Not once, but a few times. They have never turned him away, and are always willing to listen, and give me great advice. My son is doing better than he has been in years thanks in part to them. I am forever grateful. and can't fully express my appreciation.

My addicted family member has yet to reach out to the Foundation, he has the information. My experience has been one of being supported and given direction to resources to benefit my state of mind. Loving an addict is really hard work and the time, care, and empathy I received truly helped me through some dark days.

My son had been a drug addict for years. They not only gave him a chance at the help he needed, but they gave him more truth than I even knew about addiction which led to him agreeing to go. This is a great organization with caring people helping people that others won't.

I was abusing IV heroin for over 10 years. I was homeless, helpless, and hopeless. When I finally became willing to make a change I had NO resources for help. No job, or family money had put me on every waiting list in my hometown. Then I called the Jake Koenigsdorf Foundation. They spoke with me for about 2 days, and next thing you know I'm getting on a bus to a treatment center. A lot of hard work on my part, and now almost 2 years later, I am happy, healthy, have a great job, and recently married. None of this would have happened without the help of the JKF! I owe them everything. In my time of need, when all seemed lost, they stuck their hand out to help a junkie like me. These words fall so short in recognizing the help and hope that they give to people struggling and our families. I am forever in debt to the JKF for helping me, when no one else would!
