As a longtime educator from City College of San Francisco, I am genuinely impressed by the work of Jai Bhim International. Their academic program is sophisticated; by presenting the study of traditional customs in the context of modern society, students are given a framework by which they can begin to understand and respond to their own culture. In addition, students study drama, dance, art, and public speaking--- all valuable tools for self-expression. As a result, the students not only develop academic skills, but also the self- understanding and the self- confidence that are the foundation for success.
This non-profit is one dear to my heart because of its selflessness of service and the cause it espouses. When we are excluded from a group that we belong to, it is hurtful. When the exclusion is institutionalized, it is unlawful. When a group of human beings such as the Dalit in India are excluded from the social fabric of their society, it is devastating to the spirit. That is why I support the cause of Jai Bhim International -- it acknowledges the humanity of a group of people rejected by their own. And those of us lucky enough to have the power to help lift an impoverished and rejected group to their proper place in humankind have an obligation to do so. Thus, Jai Bhim International through education -- shedding light where there is darkness.
JaiBhim International's work is inspiring and makes a real difference to education for children from one of the most oppressed communities anywhere who are known as Dalit. Education is the key to empowerment and dignity. And English proficiency is a key to educational achievement. JaiBhim International's success is measured by the happiness on the faces of the children that are touched by its work.
A small organization doing big work, serving students on the ground in some of the most underserved communities in India. Proud to support them!
I remember the beginning of Jai Bhim and have been so impressed by its founder and its projects. What can be more inspiring than helping to educate youth in a thorough and empowering way? I am so grateful for the beautiful reports and thank you cards I get for rather small donation, and the opportunity to enjoy some delicious fundraising brunches.
Most of all, I feel a part of a wonderful movement of dedicated and beautiful people.
I am Arunboudh Director of Lokuttara leadership Academy, we are serving drop out students to uplift their education and carrier. Because of the JBI we are able to serve these students. last 8 years we have been collaborating with JBI, by these friendship we could serve several economically and socially backward students.Because of the cast discrimination and its impact majority of the society became the downtrodden.most of the students from these community are drop outs and poor in education. With JBI we are really work hard to uplift this new generation, off course JBI became the part of their history. Thanks JBI
I met Dh. Dayamudra on 2008 when i was working with Visuddhaloka Welfare Association as warden. I can say, Jaibhim International had helped me to motivate myself to being as a human. She helped me to develop my inner peace by teaching meditation, develop my knowledge in English by speaking with me, teaching, giving an opportunities to translate her conversations with Sakya Children and donating English books. She is also one of persons, who motivated me to get an admission at TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai). Once in a year we meet and discus our personal and professional thoughts. Whatever and whenever i feel i need help to do my work in the community i approach Jaibhim International without hesitation. Last week also, JBI has donated books for rural children in Tamil Nadu. And i have got an opportunity to present my paper in Rural Development Conference, Bangkok 2015, but i didn't have financial support to go for. Suddenly i have thought about JBI and approached Dh. Daya Mudra for help, she promised and sent donation for my trip and registration fee for the conference without any expectation. I have presented my paper happily. That trip was my first trip to other country. JBI helps our organization to get an exposure with other organizations like Aram Sei (They have offered Khan Academy Video's to our children), volunteers like Ms. Jean (She has visited our place and referred many volunteers to us) and places like trips (JBI donated fund to take our children to Nagaloka. Nagpur) and so on. JBI is a non profit organization, which volunteering to achieve our vision and mission directly. Thanks!!!
Working with Lokuttara Leadership Academy was one of the best decision I had ever made in my life. Because, through lokuttara Jaibheem international has been a part of my life since 2015. My experience with jaibheem is outstanding and very positive as I got a lot out of it. It helped me to become a better educator as well as a learner. I got opportunity to interact with many kind of people through this organisation. Our team treat me as an individual and helped me to grow as a person and gain confidence. When I was in worries, they all there to support me. The things we teach, the way we teach is wonderful; sometimes I felt that if I would be a student here. In addition to the academic growth we aim their personal development, keep them physically and emotionally safe and secure. Trained them by loving, supporting and caring them. I can develop my personality by working with this and I treasure my experience from here. Thanks to jaibheem and lokuttara.
I have known the founder of Jai Bhim for many years. I find her vision to be inspirational and compelling. The work that this organization does is unparalleled in providing education and hope to the people in the Dalit community that they serve. I get regular reports regarding how my donations are spent and have been pleased to see that the monies are used wisely.
Jai Bhim is an organization that gives hope to the hopeless. Through its educational program, Jai Bhim makes peolple with darker future, label as Dalits in the Indian cast system, believe in a brighter future. Through Jai Bhim, these oppressed people can dream again and be happy. Thus, this organization is worth supporting. Thanks!
