Mission: The jackson mann community center was established to serve the residents of allston-brighton. With collaborative efforts and by joining together, our residents learn, share, and work to improve the lives of the people in the community. It is a community based multicultural, education, resource and referral agency located within a boston public school, serving primarily low to moderate income families.
Programs: Educational child care - the center provides educational child care under a pre-school program and a school-age program at its main facility. The center also provides a before-school and an after-school program at the edison school. The educational child care program focuses on students' individual academic, recreational, artistic, social, and emotional needs.
adult education - the adult education program provides educational courses to the allston-brighton community. The center offers courses in adult basic skills, english as a second language, high school diploma or equivalency certificate, and citizenship classes, and it provides support and vocational counseling.
summer program - the summer program provides a safe, structured environment for the youths of allston-brighton during the months of july and august.
