Mission: Remediate conditions of poverty by providing quality services that focus on human development and self-sufficiency
Programs: Youth services - provide opportunities for learning social and educational skills, provide medical and dental screenings, speech therapy, school lunch and other services. This is accomplished through conduct of a headstart program (enrollment of approximately 700), a related usda school lunch program, and other programs. Provide daycare services through federally funded family daycare home grant and locally-operated first step program.
elderly services - provides senior centers, meal, transportation outreach and other services for individuals 60 years and older. Approximately 800 elderly individuals were served in the current year.
case management - case management for low-income families includes assistance with utilities, shelter, prescriptions and other emergency needs. Provides marriage counseling, tax preparation services, and other services. Approximate number of individuals and families served under the program for the current year - case management 200, energy assistance 2100, income tax assistance 1,100
