Mission: To meet the needs of children and families in our community by providing a community-based, child-focused center that facilitates a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, treatment, identification, investigation, and prosecution of child abuse.
Programs: The children's advocacy center of jackson county coordinates services for abused children in the southern oregon region of jackson, josephine and douglas counties. The center provides medical training and technical assistance for medical personnel for child abuse examinations, education on medical aspects of child abuse, case consultation, peer review of exam findings and expert witness testimony and training for prosecution of child abuse cases. The center provides interview space for abused victims, law officers, and victim's families. Provides assessment and therapy treatment for abused children. Provides community education on child abuse issues and community partnering to prevent and combat child abuse.
