Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection, Water, Water Resources, Wetlands Conservation & Management
Mission: Conserve and protect the natural resources of south florida, including the fresh water and marine ecosystems, coral reefs, everglades, florida bay, upland ecosystmes and wildlife.
Programs: Grant to the everglades coaltion a 501c3 organization to pay for meal scholarships for students attending the coalitions annual conference. Meals are a significant expense at the conference, and can prevent students from attending, unless the meals are provided by the organization. Our grant made it possible for 20 students from monroe, miami-dade, broward, palm beach, lee and collier counties to attend this educational event, and learn about protecting the everglades.
