Mission: The islip arts council is dedicated to leadership, advocacy and excellence in the arts by presenting, producing and promoting culturally responsive, high quality programs for diverse populations in varied artistic disciplines. In partnership with local, state, federal and private organizations, the goal is to facilitate these programs in response to the needs of the community and long island at large.
Programs: Museum programs - the council has an agreement with the town of islip to manage and administer the islip art museum (the "museum"). The council is paid an administrative fee for its services and is required to pay certain expenses of operating the museum. The council also retains a portion of certain net revenues earned from the museum gift shop.
arts programs - provide programs in music genres including chamber music, jazz, classical and popular to the town of islip. The organization received 43,325 in donated services including advertising and office space.
