The Irving Schools Foundation hosted an extraordinary and fantastic event for the young scholars. When I stepped foot into the building, I felt like a celebrity. It felt as though I was someone of importance and that really made me jump for joy. At many times, aspring students are not recognized for their hard work. ISF changed that and made all of its scholars feel special and welcome. Overall, it was a great and fun experience that I will remember for years to come.
It has been a joy partnering with the Irving Schools Foundation; their commitment to serving our students and meeting their needs is fantastic!
A lot of people from my campus here in IrvingISD have great testimonials about how the organization has helped them, their children that attend IrvingISD, and students in IrvingISD.
As a teacher, I see the hope that these students have when they receive a scholarship. As a parent of two Irving Schools Foundation recipients, I saw what this scholarship meant to their college finances.
As a teacher in Irving ISD, I have seen first-hand how the Irving Schools Foundation Scholarship program has helped many first-generation college students reach their college goals. The thousands of dollars awarded each year to these hard-working students from ISF makes all the difference. For this reason, I always donate during the annual employee giving campaigns.
The Irving Schools Foundation (ISF) has provided assistance to the Jack E. Singley Law Enforcement program in a variety of ways. To begin, each year, the ISF provides grants to programs, students and individuals to allow them to pursue projects which enhances a student's learning experience. The ISF Grant program has allowed the Singley Academy Law Enforcement Police Explorers to attend the Texas Law Enforcement Police Explorers State Competition in Arlington, Texas for the previous three years. This competition challenges the students in a variety of law enforcement based scenarios. The competition permits the students to interact with law enforcement agencies at the local, state and federal level as well as youth from a multitude of law enforcement explorer programs across the nation.
Additionally, the ISF has provided excellent assistance to the Singley Academy Law Enforcement Advisory Board. The ISF guided the board and helped them to create a scholarship program to benefit the law enforcement students hoping to pursue a career in the criminal justice field. The ISF staff were very knowledgeable and kind as they guided the board through the creation of the scholarship.
ISF is a great foundation! I have not worked in a district, my 14 years of education before I came to Irving where they were 100% vested and invested in the success of their students while in school, funding teacher projects with "SPARK TANK" and after graduation, with the thousands of dollars given out in donations.
Teachers and even paraprofessionals give of their money to help the students.
I am so proud to work in Irving for the past 4 years and be a contributing force behind the ISF to assist students pursue their education.
I'm very thankful for the Irving Schools Foundation. Because of their grant, I will be able to attend a writing workshop and learn more strategies to bring back to my campus.
Irving Schools Foundation is an amazing nonprofit!! They gave me a grant to attend a conference on Autism communication and behavior. The information is helping me and all those I work with. I am so grateful for this foundation and for their support of teachers!! Thank you for all you do.
Irving ISD has allowed me to create experiences for my students that I am not capable of by myself. They make classroom dreams come true!
I was awarded one of the many awards offered by the Irving Schools Foundation. They were amazing help with the process of the scholarship. The breakfast they host is also great, not just because of the food, but they invite the people who provided the money for us to be able to get these scholarships. This is one of the greatest scholarships foundations Ive seen, due to many other students from many backgrounds and futures, being able to receive their scholarships. Along with that, they help students who want to do more, but can't afford it. They helped the Irving Libraries give out books to many more students in the Irving School District. They provided funds for students to go to compete because of the dedication and effort from them. As well as seeing many other places where they contribute.
SLPS Aastha Charities started working with Irving ISD, Terri Oliver, in May 2017. Through their website, we contacted Ms. Oliver and she told us about the Backpack Drive. Our community was so excited to help students get back to school in a successful manner that they immediately started to donate money towards the backpacks. Our senior community was especially helpful. We raised over 10,000.00 and ended up preparing 400 backpacks. 310 were delivered to Irving ISD and the rest were delivered to Carrollton Farmers ISD. We would definitely love to help with this project in the future.
Gwen went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed to make the beginning of the school year a success!
I went to the C2C Store in hopes of finding glue sticks, dry-erase markers, and kleenex for my students and classroom. The ladies there were soooo helpful and nice. They explained the entire process and were great at it. I did not realize how many many things they had. I was able to get pencil sharpeners, copy paper, and supply boxes for my class in addition to what I went for. I was definitely spreading the word after I left the store. I just could not believe I was able to get so much at no cost. My students will absolutely benefit from the store.
Irving Schools Foundation is the best organization I have ever been associated with. Last year they awarded well over $200,000 in scholarships; thousands of dollars in grants to teachers for a variety of things (like student field trips, conferences, outdoor gardens and many more. I could go on and on, but I am so proud to be associated with such a great non profit.
ISF does an amazing job of providing opportunities for our students and staff. I have even benefited, as I was awarded a $150 grant to attend the state counseling conference. Thanks for all you do!
The Irving School Foundation provided Wheeler Transitional Center with a funds to build a wonderful outdoor garden area. This provided a therapeutic environment, that student who struggle in school for various reasons the opportunity to create a Life, nurture and care for it. Now students are excited about how they are growing plants which may seem simple but it gives them pride in accomplishing something and that can open their minds to their potential.
To whom it may concern,
Crockett Middle school had their first faculty staff meeting, as Dean of Students I created a presentation to inform staff about all the great things ISF does for our schools, We had people racing to turn in their ISF form, we had a great turn out!
The C2C store and the volunteers that run it are incredible! They came to my rescue when I was in need of a class set of binders and dividers. I don't know what I would've done without them! Thank you for all that you do.
We love working with the Irving Schools Foundation. They are super organized and do a great job meeting the needs of students in Irving ISD.
The Irving Schools Foundation does so much for our Irving ISD community. As a teacher, I have had the chance to see students succeed because they had the monetary help. I have also seen teachers be able to get items for their classrooms and attend conferences. I have been honored to receive several different grants, and this last year was lucky to receive a scholarship to help further my career as a librarian. The staff at ISF is always willing to answer questions and help. It is a great organization and I am so thankful that they are here.
