The Irving Schools Foundation hosted an extraordinary and fantastic event for the young scholars. When I stepped foot into the building, I felt like a celebrity. It felt as though I was someone of importance and that really made me jump for joy. At many times, aspring students are not recognized for their hard work. ISF changed that and made all of its scholars feel special and welcome. Overall, it was a great and fun experience that I will remember for years to come.
SLPS Aastha Charities started working with Irving ISD, Terri Oliver, in May 2017. Through their website, we contacted Ms. Oliver and she told us about the Backpack Drive. Our community was so excited to help students get back to school in a successful manner that they immediately started to donate money towards the backpacks. Our senior community was especially helpful. We raised over 10,000.00 and ended up preparing 400 backpacks. 310 were delivered to Irving ISD and the rest were delivered to Carrollton Farmers ISD. We would definitely love to help with this project in the future.
Gwen went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed to make the beginning of the school year a success!
I went to the C2C Store in hopes of finding glue sticks, dry-erase markers, and kleenex for my students and classroom. The ladies there were soooo helpful and nice. They explained the entire process and were great at it. I did not realize how many many things they had. I was able to get pencil sharpeners, copy paper, and supply boxes for my class in addition to what I went for. I was definitely spreading the word after I left the store. I just could not believe I was able to get so much at no cost. My students will absolutely benefit from the store.
Irving Schools Foundation is the best organization I have ever been associated with. Last year they awarded well over $200,000 in scholarships; thousands of dollars in grants to teachers for a variety of things (like student field trips, conferences, outdoor gardens and many more. I could go on and on, but I am so proud to be associated with such a great non profit.
ISF does an amazing job of providing opportunities for our students and staff. I have even benefited, as I was awarded a $150 grant to attend the state counseling conference. Thanks for all you do!
The Irving School Foundation provided Wheeler Transitional Center with a funds to build a wonderful outdoor garden area. This provided a therapeutic environment, that student who struggle in school for various reasons the opportunity to create a Life, nurture and care for it. Now students are excited about how they are growing plants which may seem simple but it gives them pride in accomplishing something and that can open their minds to their potential.
To whom it may concern,
Crockett Middle school had their first faculty staff meeting, as Dean of Students I created a presentation to inform staff about all the great things ISF does for our schools, We had people racing to turn in their ISF form, we had a great turn out!
The C2C store and the volunteers that run it are incredible! They came to my rescue when I was in need of a class set of binders and dividers. I don't know what I would've done without them! Thank you for all that you do.
We love working with the Irving Schools Foundation. They are super organized and do a great job meeting the needs of students in Irving ISD.
The Irving Schools Foundation does so much for our Irving ISD community. As a teacher, I have had the chance to see students succeed because they had the monetary help. I have also seen teachers be able to get items for their classrooms and attend conferences. I have been honored to receive several different grants, and this last year was lucky to receive a scholarship to help further my career as a librarian. The staff at ISF is always willing to answer questions and help. It is a great organization and I am so thankful that they are here.
My dealings with the Irving Schools Foundation have been nothing but favorable. I have dealt with them both as a blessed recipient of their scholarship program, and as a liaison for a local JROTC program. In the former, I received prompt answers to any questions, lavished by the V.I.P. treatment at their scholarship award banquet, Breakfast With the Stars, and enjoyed the courteous staff. In the latter, I met with the foundation's president, and was impressed by both her efficacy, and efficiency.
The Irving School Foundation is a great non-profit organization that gives hope to students to further their education by granting several scholarships. They have inspired me to give back to my community in the future by either being a mentor or through scholarships.
Irving Schools Foundation gives the means for students to achieve a higher education. They give them a chance to succeed and to grasp their dreams. I cannot express enough gratitude for the life-changing opportunity that they have given me.
I am very grateful to have received the ISF scholarship for school. I am current employee of Irving ISD and work in Human Resources. I am also attending school as a full time student and pursuing my degree in Business with a focus in Human Resources. Receiving the scholarship has paid for another year of school and given me a great deal of encouragement. With the ISF scholarship I will be able to finish school on time and continue to advance my career and grow as an individual.
The Irving Schools Foundation has been providing scholarships for students in Irving for more than 30 years! As the Foundation has grown, it has expanded to providing grants for teacher education, special classroom projects, campus projects, and individual awards to students. It runs on a very lean budget with robust community and volunteer support, and even the IISD employees get involved! Teachers and staff can donate to the Foundation through a payroll deduction, and so many of them participate! I am honored and humbled to be a part of this great organization, and I am so thankful for our corporate sponsors and community donors who help us do so much for our kids!
Nice entertainment! Did not get bored as much as I thought that I would have. My mother was actually sat at a different table from me, so that was an inconvenience.
I have been a part of Irving Schools Foundation since its inception. It has always done so much for the children and teachers of this district, but in the last 5 years the amount of money awarded in grants and scholarships has been absolutely amazing. Over $200,000 awarded last year in student scholarships alone! How many other districts can say this? How many nonprofits can say this? This organization and its CEO and board are amazing. I am proud to be a small part of it.
The Irving School's Foundation is a great nonprofit organization that has played a huge role in my futher education. I have been apart of Irving ISD my entire childhood and know that they still care about their students even after we graduate means a lot to me. Being granted a scholarship, makes me want to return the favor, one day in the future. I hope to give back to my community, just like they have done for me.
The Irving Schools Foundation has been a wonderful resource to fund initiatives on my campus that have expanded learning beyond the four walls of my classroom. They have provided resources for me to allow my students to create a community garden that has allowed my students to grow vegetables to donate to those in need in the community as well as catnip to donate to our local animal shelter. I have seen them fund projects that allow students to enrich themselves as learners at all levels of education from Pre-K to High School in ways that have allowed those students to give back to the community and I am proud to be a supporter of the Irving Schools Foundation through my charitable giving as well.
Irving schools foundation is a great way for students to get help while paying tuition. I am really grateful for this scholarship
