Mission: To build, renovate, and repair housing for low-income families.
Programs: Construction of homes for disadvantaged families in davidson, mooresville, cornelius and huntersville communities. Our towns hfh builds homes, whose size averages 1,100 square feet, that are sold to individuals at no profit, utilizing a non-interest bearing 20-30 year mortgage. In exchange, the families are required to contribute 400 hours of "sweat equity" towards the construction of their home and other projects.
habitat restore - the habitat restore sells new and gently used household items, do-it-yourself supplies, building materials, and furniture to help support the habitat mission and to keep materials from going to the landfill. The restore is supported by individual and coporate gifts-in-kind.
