One of the best nonprofit organizations I know. It is a professional, educational and trusted association with good people who have good heart and work hard to connect Iranian-American medical professionals and helps others.
I have been a volunteer in IAMA for many years. I have witnessed nothing but dedication and sacrifice among members of this great organization. Whenever a natural disaster occurs the members donate their time and money to help victims of natural disasters. They also help younger Iranian professionals to stablish themselves in this wonderful country. I will continue to volunteer for IAMA and encourage all the Iranian Americans to get involve in the affairs of this great organization.
To be able to reach out to many members of this association and seek their advice has been a great experience for me. I have had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Omid Ashouri, the Southern California chapter president and he has been very helpful.
For the first time I heard about IAMA almost 17 years ago. As soon as I learned about the mission of IAMA and the genuine founders of this organization, I rolled up my sleeves and jumped on the wagon, since I believed in their mission and vision. I have witnessed and been involved in helping many young Iranian physicians to get establish in this wonderful country. IAMA has arranged many scientific trips to Iran helping different universities to start their liver transplant and pancreas transplant programs, as well as advanced laparoscopic techniques and ATLS courses and giving numerous lectures in oncology, immunology, .... to mention a few. Here IAMA holds annual scientific meetings which is a great venue for it’s members and also for networking. Fund raising in case of natural disaster has been the passion of this organization. I gave this organization my highest rank and encourage and invite all Iranian Americans who are in the field of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and all allied health professionals to join this wonderful organization.
Since my tenure of 18 years with this organization I have had the pleasure of forming some of the most meaningful relationships of my life. I have been given the opportunity to serve others.
It has been a pleasure to be a part of this great organization.
